Pls talk more about management with fine strand webbing. I have this prob with only 74 or so locs. I don't retwist per se but do wrap loose hairs around loc base. I have to tear or cut so much to put streaks back after a wash. Others make slipping stands out so easy. But mine web and get stuck all over.

This week makes 10 years since I started my locs. I originally installed 270 locs, but that count has gone up due to new growth. I have been cutting it every 3 years to maintain a manageable length. However, now, they're literally falling out by the root. I'm losing 2-3 locs a week in the past 2 months. I'm not ready to cut it all off since I've always experienced cyclical hair loss. I am motivated by your story, and I feel more encouraged to combine my locs to offer more support in the hope that I can ride out this hair loss cycle as I always have.

Ava, that tip on interlocking is brilliant! I have a few locs that have thicker ends than the roots and it is very challenging to pull through. I will definitely be trying this method the next time I interlock. Thank you! Also, your hair looks great at this length and thickness.

Before getting my locs I used Carol's daughter rose water shampoo on my hair. I loved it. It cleaned my hair very well however, I do understand what you said about it did not hydrate a lot. But, afterwards I was using a conditioner. I just started my micro locs journey on November 2, 2023 and first retwist on December 16, 2023 by the lady that did started them. Today I plan to shampoo my hair myself with that shampoo and do a hot oil treatment afterwards. Yannie the loctician says to saturate the oil on the scalp but on a plastic cap for a couple of hours. Do not rinse the oil out. Towel blot the excess oil then let it dry. 🤞🙏🏽It comes out right.

Hey lady Kendra Kenshay has a cute lil technique u can insert a few faux locs in for a pop of color quick easy n drama free no rubber bands she has microlocs but I’m sure it will apply to traditionals as well…I can leave u the link so u can see if u would like that way best

Hey, as always so glad to see you give the updates of your locs, they have grown so much. I am just turning 2.5 years also, I still have frizz but it’s not as bad at the 2 yr make…do you condition your locs every time you wash? I haven’t tried conditioner yet
