Carlo Gesualdo: Canzon Francese del Principe.
Guitar Score for sale (price 15$ - 14€ - 100 DKR.) Please contact me at: cdejour@outlook.com
The piece is originally written for the Harpsichord, but here in an arrangement for solo guitar made by Christophe Dejour.
The Canzon Franchese del Principe is the only surviving keyboard work attributable to Gesualdo. The piece is famous chiefly for the virtuosic, candenza-like embellishment.
Carlo Gesualdo da Venosa (1566 - 1613) was Prince of Venosa and Count of Conza. As a musician he is best known for writing intensely expressive madrigals and pieces of sacred music that use a chromatic language not heard again until the late 19th century. He is al...

Oscar Esplá Sonata for solo guitar
Просмотров 11 тыс.9 лет назад
”Tempo di Sonata” is the only piece originally written for the guitar by Oscar Esplá (1886-1976) The Sonata was composed around the year 1930 but was first performed in 1978 by José Tomás. The Sonata has not been performed many time since. I personally think the Sonata should be placed among the standard pieces for the classical guitar. Text from "Guitars International" "José Tomás: Memory and ...

This makes a lot of sense on the guitar! I have always been very fond of this piece (and much else of Bartok's). Nevertheless, I am hearing it for the first time again. Thanks, that's precious! Great playing by the way!

If I could travel in time I would love to bring Mr Bach samples of his music recorded 270 years after his passing, just to sit back and see his reaction. This rendition would certainly be among that material.

I can see what people are saying about how "modern" his music sounds - in spite of how royally fudged up his life was in every other respect. Talk about separating the art from the artist!

  • @cuthbertbaggins2036

Bravo, the transcription alone is astounding, the execution is incredible.. if I only had one tenth of your talent I would die a very happy man. .. but.. what is happening with the very large and obvious fret markers at 5th and 7th. I have never seen this on a classical guitar before. I have no doubt you are more than capable of playing this blind folded at your level of virtuosity and am puzzled (intrigued) as to why you would have requested these ugly markers (I assume you had the instrument built to your specification). Please don't take my comment wrong.. they are not a criticism of any sort... I am genuinely intrigued why these markers have been placed on such a beautiful sounding instrument? Is this perhaps a study instrument that you have found that just happens to sound incredible?
