      @danielchilive 3 дня назад

      If your Program feed (what's going out publicly) is playing a video, you can have an audio conversation with your Interview Mode guest while the video is playing IF you MUTE your audio channel AND the Interview Mode audio channel - you'll find this in the Sound Levels panel. Please note that there is a setting in Ecamm Preferences that lowers the movie audio for your Interview Mode guests, however, this will not lower it for you, the Producer, so if the movie audio is loud you may have trouble hearing your guest(s).

    Daniel, I'm confused about the remote feature in Zoom. At the 7:55 mark of the video, you show how to click the three dots on the other person's thumbnail and then select "Request camera control." I don't have that option on Zoom when I invite who has the insta360 link 2. I just have the insta360 link original. Do both of us need to have the link 2 for this option to show up? Is there a Zoom setting I need to change? Thanks for your help.

    • @danielchilive
      @danielchilive 7 дней назад

      If you're using Interview Mode, you can adjust each individual guest's audio by hovering over their video in the Interview Mode panel, and at the top right of each of their videos will be an audio slider. You can only LOWER their audio, you cannot boost it. If their audio is not loud enough they will have to do something on their end like get closer to their mic or adjust their gain. If you are using Ecamm for Zoom, then at this time it is not possible to adjust each guest's audio levels at all, so you will have to get each of them to do something on their ends to lower or raise their volume (easy if they have a mixer or interface, but not really possible if they are just using a built-in mic unfortunately).

      Excellent that you also have the Insta360 Link 2! Yes, it is very good for experts as well as beginners, and you're right...if you don't move around a lot, then getting a PTZ camera is not very worthwhile. That would be where one might get the Link 2C instead which is the same as the Link 2 but is fixed.

Trying to find someone, anyone that will discuss better webcams from this aspect. I use an LG CX48 for my display, so my work laptop is closed and mounted to the side of my desk. It's pretty locked down. Corp. will allow drivers but not the companion software. A quality cam is vital, same with the mic. There are several factors that could cause that including, but not limited to, poor lighting or contrast and the camera cannot differentiate you from the background, you're moving too fast (if this, then make sure to change the tracking speed in the software), or maybe you're turning too much so much so that the camera 'lost' you.

      Hey @DrivenSpice! If you have the Mee M6 IEMs, or any other , you can use a 3.5mm extension cable to make it work for you. I've had to use a 25ft cable one time, though I think 3, 6, or 10ft should be more than adequate for most creators. Most wired IEMs have short cords so extension cables are needed regardless of the brand. If you want higher end audio quality, not that it's necessary, you can look into the Shure IEM series.

      Zoom says "Both users (the one requesting control and the one giving control) must have this turned on", which may be tricky to guide your guest where to set if it's not turned ON already. The reason you've missed this is - your demo is most likely using your account for both host and guest, so - you turn it on at the host side, it is also turned on at the guest side. With a real guest, it may be a bit more challenging 😏 Other than that - cool tip 👍

    That's great -- do you have a recommendation for such a mic that also includes headphones (also for Yoga/fitness instructors who teach via Zoom remote classses)?

      @@Catelynmeow I haven’t found a single piece that has both mic and comfortable headset, but what I do - when I need to move AND hear things - I use over ear Bluetooth headphones by Oladance.

    I've noticed that when using these headset mounts with a green screen, the wire on the side of the cheek will constantly pop in and out of existence because it's too thin for the green screen software to process it properly. I find this so distracting that I've decided that I cannot use this style of microphone. I've noticed this problem using Ecamm's and Zoom's green screen functions. Has anyone encountered this?

    • @danielchilive
      @danielchilive 2 месяца назад

      Yeah, that will happen. But it's not Ecamm, it's just how chromakeying works unfortunately. Unless you've got a very high quality production and equipment to match, these thin items, and hair, will not look great. That's why I generally do not recommend using green screens. In Ecamm, you can make adjustments to the green colour sensitivity - there's a slider that appears when you enable green screen. You'll just have to play with it until you get the most optimal, but not necessarily perfect, look.Another hack method you can try is by adding tape around the wire to make it even more prominent.

      @@danielchilive Thanks, Daniel. I agree, avoiding a green screen would be the best approach.

    How do you walk around and listen to (monitor) your voice and the sound from your computer?

    • @danielchilive
      @danielchilive 2 месяца назад

      Great q! If I need to hear audio, I wear either…1st choice: wired in ear monitors attached to a long 3.5mm extension cable (I have a 25ft cable)… or 2nd choice: Bluetooth ear buds. Wireless is always saving choice due to the chance of disconnections though, so I always have the weird ones as a backup.
