Am I the only one who favored Spirit Tracks/Phantom Hourglass?

Zelda with skyrim music feels so right.

The gameboy zeldas have some legit dungeon design. Really intricate and fun.

I fear how accurate Wind Waker was... and it doesn't help it's my favorite in the franchise :')

For me, the Links Awakening remake for the Switch is S tier. If you haven’t played it you most definitely should it’s much better than the original at almost everything even though not changing much except graphics.

IIIIIIIII think the reality is that at the time Capcom were being cute and directly ended it leading into LA. They were making a gb game and were only thinking about the other gb game. I think the boat is intended to state that clear as day. For the Zelda thing, 2 thoughts. First maybe Capcom really hadn't known that LA was directly after LttP so it's their mess up. I sure as hell never knew back then. It's a big good by Capcom but I'd bet that's all that happened though still can't prove. Or, think of this- Zelda talks to Link not the other way around so we don't know if Link responds any certain way and we don't know where or when geographically Link got sent when he got warped to those lands so maybe this Zelda really doesn't know Link. Maybe when she talks to him he's like "Zelda it's me, why don't you recognize"?. But she doesn't because different time or dimension or maybe even timeline. What if they remake the Oracle games and they take place in the other timelines? Hah wouldn't that be a shit storm and also how we merge the lines back so totk and botw make sense with their merged references lol I'm just rambling here good night brother and good vid😂

I remember doing the ALttP glitch that allows you to move through screens in areas where you’re not supposed to… it glitched out, so I restarted the game and the most eerie thing happened which after that never happened again. believe it or not. The game booted back up and I was in an empty room which resembled links house, or at least one of the bottom floor houses in the game, it had no extra rooms, no interior and NO DOORS! So no way out.. that would’ve been okay…but the only thing with me in that room was the sprite of Links deceased uncle up against the back wall, so I was basically locked in a room with the corpse of links uncle.. with no where to go..had to erase the game and reinstall because every file, empty or not had some sort of corruption from the get go. That shid was seriously unsettling 😱😂😂 almost like a real life creepypasta

i have the zelda 2 gameboy advance port and i find it really fun despite the difficulty! it’s a huge pain and soooo frustrating but i actually like the way side scrolling was used, especially in the combat

I would play Ocarina first because every other 3D Zelda game has references to that specific title. Majora’s Mask is obviously a sequel with reused assets. Wind Waker has a lot of references and call backs to Ocarina that you won’t understand if you don’t play Ocarina first. And most of all you have Twilight Princess which borrows from Ocarina of Time more than any other game in the series. You also have Breath of the Wild which surprisingly has a lot of Ocarina of Time references and call backs as well. Ocarina of Time isn’t my personal favorite Zelda game but it’s the most important and the most iconic. A Link To The Past started the traditional Zelda formula by saving the princess, introducing the master sword, having unique magic spells, and the origins of numerous classic songs like Hyrule Castle Theme, Dark World, and Zelda’s Lullaby. Ocarina of Time took that formula and perfected it in a 3D space which changed the way people looked at the series forever.

I can understand putting TP as the worst Zelda 3D Zelda game, or worst if you just prefer 2D games. First of all, that's not calling it a bad game. *Something* has to be the worst, and they're all great. But on playing through TP again recently, I've found a lot of decisions really questionable. The biggest one is combat. The game gives you all these fancy sword techniques: The Back Slice to deal with enemies guarding in front of them, the Helm Splitter for enemies that are prepared for a back slice, and the Mortal Draw for enemies that are well guarded for both, "there is no defense for this attack" the Hero's Shade says. You would think that basic techniques would be used for standard enemies, and more skilled opponents like Dinolfos and Darknuts would require the more complex techniques, as the Hero's Shade suggests. But Darknuts block your back slices, can't be staggared with a shield bash for the helm splitter, and block your mortal draw. Everything you're told about these techniques is a complete lie for these enemies. The only way to hit a Dark Nut is to wait for them to attack and then hit them when they're exposed--a very standard strategy that doesn't involve the more complex sword techniques. If these techniques aren't helpful against the one enemy exclusively known for being a skilled swordfighter, why do they exist at all? The other biggest frustration I have with TP are the Poe Souls. These are the worst handled collectible in the game. You don't get to start collecting them until after clearing the third dungeon, most of them only spawn at night, just like Gold Skulltulas, there is no indication when you've gotten all the poes in an area unlike Gold Skulltulas, and sometimes they don't even appear in an area until you come back after finishing the area. And the prize? A silver rupee in a game that already has far too many useless rupees. Not even an infinite one like the Gold Rupee you get in OoT. I cannot get behind Ezlo being better than Midna, though. Midna not only has immense power thanks to the Fused Shadow that saves Zelda from Ganon's posessuon, but she's also the only reason Link is able to enter the Twlight as well as transform back and forth between human and beast. Her dialogue is far less intrusive, too.

In the gc wind waker version, you dont have to release tingle to leave windfall with the boat though so there is definitely some time to save there as well

Its strange they haven't done much with the multiplayer angle in the era of online multiplayer. I would frankly love a 2 player game where each person controls one of Link/Zelda, with something of a Portal 2 vibe to puzzle solving. Especially in 3d. I also loved what they did with ALBW and think spiritual successor / semi-remakes are an absolutely baller way to redo older games and would love similar treatment for OoT especially.

Aw, I liked TH! (Although I didn't play it) However, my favourite is TP bc of the story (and you're not wrong, it's also my childhood console alongside the 3DS). MM is really good as well, it's got the most immersive sidequests and ambient, and the NPCs seem... Human. Real, with actual response about what happens to the world. I just find the 3 day cycle annoying for gameplay but in the story of the game it fits perfectly.

This is a very good game with toon Link. I really enjoyed it.

This is my first Zelda game, playing it in 2024 on my Miyoo Mini and it's amazing! I'd rate it 4.5/5 as game (not compared to other Zeldas)

Botws story is one of the best zelda stories ever told, you only have to learn how to enjoy narratives that dont satisfy your histrionic personality disorder problems and youll discover the hidden gem it is

After playing Echoes of Wisdom I agree strongly with taking away the ability to climb. I feel like it's a less tightly designed game because you can just climb over anything with the climbing spider, or really just stack stuff to achieve the same thing. I'd go even further and take away the ability to glide.

Why did they stop with this

Wind Waker was close to being my favorite ever, topping A Link to the Past. I absolutely love exploration and the whole sea faring aspect but I forced myself to ignore the cell shading production design. I can see how it attempted to establish an upbeat and engaging counterpoint in tone, in what is a post-apocalyptic flooded world... But the art-style still ruined the creepy atmosphere of places like Earth Temple and the ghost ship to me... It's important to me because the horror parts of the franchise are by far my favorites. Precisely why Skull Woods is my fav dungeon in alttp and Shadow Temple/Below the Well are in Ocarina of Time.

Call me crazy, but if the Oracle games ever get a remaster/remake, I would hope the scrapped Oracle of Secrets finally gets to see the light of day. Also, I know it would be an unpopular opinion, but if TP gets a remaster, the art style gets changed to either something similar to the wild games, or at least the color pallet gets changed to some degree. Lastly, I wouldn't be surprised that if and when WW gets a remaster that it's more stylized in LW remaster's chibi/toy art style, at least that's the impression I've had for sometime now
