I’ll be graduating from college/university and want to do a grad trip. I’m hoping to go to London, Paris, and a few cities in Italy. Echt zo knap hoe je ermee omgaat, heel herkenbaar allemaal! Voel me echt een stuk minder eenzaam in mijn herstelproces hierdoor. Ben nu 1,5 jaar bezig en herken de ups en downs, de nasleep. De kleine stapjes die langzaam voor de grote stapjes zorgen. Op deze leeftijd (ben zelf 23) voelt het echt bizar om dit mee te maken, vooral als je om je heen kijkt naar leeftijdsgenoten. I am a survivor and you are too! I applaud you for being open and straight forward with your story. The road to recovery isn't easy, but it is achievable. This video had been on my “Watch Later” playlist for a while. I needed it more than ever. I never thought of labeling what I've felt as Grief. For almost half a year, all my mind could do was think about what I should've been doing by now, but on a much more obsessive level. Honestly, I don’t think I've been “in the moment” for the past 2 years. I’m constantly thinking about how that will soon be a memory that I will soon want to relive in the future. As a “caregiver” it is difficult to fall into the helping arms of friends and family. My body has also reminded me how I’ve only ever been kind to everyone but myself. I’ve been pouring out of an empty cup for a while. Learning to give myself grace is still a work in process. But I think more than anything, your video gave me so much hope that “Duality” can exist. I can't expect the day to come when I’ll wake up and feel normal again. But I have to learn to embrace the good days even though I’m still swimming amongst the constant reminders of the negativity. Thank you for being so honest and as open as you could.
