Thanks for this video. It made me feel a lot better to see another steam dev getting brainrot reviews and being able to laugh about it xD.
Love the series, fantastic, even after all these years. Great for basic understanding of FPS style movement, structure and design. The only thing I would change is moving controls to Update() instead of FixedUpdate(). Due to FixedUpdate() being slower, it may miss catching a user button press and cause input lag. At the end of the video, you can hear when you press the spacebar and your player didn't respond, lol. This was 10x worse on mine, I had to press space over 5 times for it to work. Once I moved my controls checking to update, the player responded normally. Of course I may have missed something, but I always thought character controls belong in update().

Help me please. No events are being sent from my clients only from the host. So on the host game no other players are being spawned and all clients can only see the host.

why my gun didn't reload? the gun go shooting even clipsize is 3 still shooting until any ammo (ammo + clipsize) gone
i just tell you the bullet hole have space between the object, feel not right
for someone that gun cannot moving with camera (just rotate on place), the solution i use is put weapon (the empty object) to camera child (in this videos is "Normal Camera")
for someone who isgrounded did not working, the Ground Detector object you can add collider (i like to use Box Collider) and set it/check "is trigger", or you can just use cube object and uncheck Mesh Renderer and check the "is trigger". I hope this can fix your issues too cause this is the solution i do.

WARNING! If you have ERROR : NullReferenceException: , Remove the script from the player capsule, and insert it into the "Normal Camera" Camera. This will solve the error.

For everyone struggling with the jumping only working sometimes, I have a solution. The reason it works "randomly" is that FixedUpdate updates at fixed intervals, and when you us GetKeyDown it only triggers for one frame. So the only times the jump works is when you pressing the jump button perfectly aligns with the FixedUpdate interval. The solution is really simple, change your code like this: Under public Camera normalCam add: bool jump; bool isJumping; Over void FixedUpdate add this section of code void Update() { jump = Input.GetKeyDown(KeyCode.Space); if(jump) isJumping = true; } and in FixedUpdate change this Remove bool jump = Input.GetKeyDown(KeyCode.Space); bool isJumping = jump; And lastly add isJumping = false inside if(jumping), it should look like this: if(isJumping) { rig.AddForce(Vector3.up * jumpHeight); isJumping = false; } Hope this helps! I was stuck on this for quite a while as well, but now it works every time :D
