We are really excited at Mountain Villa 36 at Puerto Bahia Samana because the new mezzanine level is ready for furniture. The area still needs window and floor baseboard trim, but it was time to arrange the furniture to get a feel for the desired lifestyle. They are still working on the roof and the exterior painting is a work in progress, but the interior work is coming along nicely.

This episode of the renovation of a Puerto Bahia Mountain Villa shows construction of an entry mezzanine extension that adds a new ocean view perspective. The old mezzanine level did not allow for ongoing views of the ocean and tropical gardens. This addition not only enhances the ocean views, it also adds floor space to the mountain villa with ocean views.

This is a very beautifull property on a dream location and well designed all together. The guesthouse makes up the lack of space in the house. However the house is not big, build with single wall concrete blocks like everywhere in DR. not sure what a realistic lot value would be without construction but all this together 1.7M...? and....Not even in the middle of- but on the edge of nowhere?...hospital? Supermercado? 1.7 is way over asked.

have heard officials in samana are corrupt and try and ask for bribes for everything. Is that true?
This was the case many years ago, but there have been many changes on the Samana Peninsula. There is always some corruption everywhere, but as I said, much of this has been cleaned up in Samana. They feel that tourism is more important to to maintain.
