I bought my Rolex in St Thomas USVI. Had the watch for about 5 years but after 2 vicious attacks in Trinidad trying to steal it off my wrist, i got rid of it and have never worn expensive jewellery again. Im in London now and if you wore a Rolex in London you have a very good chance of being stabbed of worst. Just not worth the trouble.

I was in the street in Shanghai and a guy came up to admire my Longines and asked if I was interested in buying a Rolex. We went to a backstreet store where they had a small selection including my all time favourite a Rolex Milgauss. I bought it immediately... was the best 200 bucks I ever spent.

They post price in display window in Amsterdam Ap? Nice. don't think they do that in US, the whole monkey show in many Rolex AD which is very ridiq here. I guess if they don't control there would be a lot of gawkers crowding the place. There are a few nice ones in certain towns locally and i like to visit those.

1. I never buy anything at airport stores. Everything there is terribly overpriced, tax-free signs are for stupid tourists only. 2. I bought the fake Rolex thirty years ago in Bangkok for five dollars. Serves me since then.

I personally think Rolex watches are way overrated.

No tax at the airport when you buy it, but full taxes and duty when you arrive at your destination in your home country unless you smuggle it in. Is that correct?

The Rolesor Sea-Dweller makes sense in the new model line. It wouldn't have made business sense on earlier models. Since the Sea-Dweller has grown to 43mm, people who prefer a larger watch are gravitating to the 126600 Sea-Dweller. Those who prefer a 43mm Rolesor watch are the target customers for the 126603 Rolesor Sea-Dweller model. On previous models, the Sea-Dweller looked similar to the Submariner, so making a Rolesor Sea-Dweller made no sense. Those who wanted a 2-tone dive watch would just get the Submariner. The target customers for the Sea-Dweller were professional divers. Also, I don't get the controversy. The Submariner is a tool watch and available in 2-tone, yellow gold, and white gold. And there being a precious metal version doesn't take away from the fully steel version. People need to learn to be less sensitive about things that don't affect them. If a company releases a model or color you don't like, that has absolutely zero impact on you. It's just another of the thousands of watch models out there that don't appeal to you. It doesn't mean it won't appeal to anybody else.
