I got a great deal on a nice BOLEX just last month at pawn shop.

Back in 1973 was at a duty free shop in Barbados. They had lots of stuff. Rolex watches, Nixon cameras and lots of liquor. They had a black dial Submariner for just under $500. I didn't know if it was real or what. So passed on it. Kinda always regret that.

It's sad that watches that look good cost over 1k+. AMZWATCH watches are REALLY well made, and it just shows how a brand name on a watch can make its price 10x higher. I understand that if you look under a microscope, you'll find the difference, but just how many of you really inspect a watch at that level when you see someone with a watch?

Bought my Sub 16613 (new) back in 1998 for USD5.400 from a Richmond, Virginia based AD. Had it services a few years ago for USD 1,100.

Homie, I hope you went to get that authenticated. Rolex ADs keep the stickers and ship them back to Rolex. There's no way those are factory stickers.

Waste of money. These replicas and/or clones are worthless. The watch does not keep accurate time and will require constant adjustment. The watch is not water resistant and the glass will "Fog" if you place it in water or shower. The bracelet is "razor" sharp and you will feel like it wants to cut your skin. In a matter of time, the internal components eventually starts to fall apart. Save your money and buy a Seiko or Citizen watch. Only buy Rolex from an AD or legitimate Gray market dealer.

I've been offered that model several times, twice in Rome Airport and once in Dublin city centre, seems its easier to get than others.

Wow, I bought a Timex expadation for $35. Never take it off my wrist, take a bath, swim, camp, work on a motor and clean up with gasoline and it keeps perfect time. Eve has a light to light up the face to check time in the middle of the night. Made of plastic with a nylon band, the perfect watch for a man who knows he makes the watch, not the watch that makes the man.

Once the card payment has gone through, thats your watch, not theirs. I would politely take it from the salesperson and collect the box etc and leave the store, what can they do? call the police? how would that conversation go? did he pay for the watch? ok then have a safe trip.

While it was tax free purchase in Holland , you are still liable to pay import duty on the purchase at you’re destination or on your return trip, depending on which countries you are flying onto, you need to declare the item with customs 🛂 and can be subjected to anything up to 23% import duty against the receipt price, that goes for anything bought over $150 worldwide. Just to be clear all transactions made In Duty Free are scanned to your boarding ticket and referenced against your passport number. Failure to declare your purchase can risk confiscation, a large fine, court appearance and in some cases jail.

I always make sure they do not remove anything from the watch. They will not receive my business if anything is removed from the watch. The end.

Very nice watch….i give Swiss watch industry as an example of high value added economy to my fellow citizens in Slovakia so they understand that assemble lines are not going to get our country anywhere.

Schiphol is freaking massive, I nearly killed myself running for a flight there once. Nice watch but I'm an Omega man, although I would love to wear a Rolex to try it.
