The very anti-thesis of being/doing/embodying/unlocking said potential... so as much as Frieza could train 1 minute and slap on power to blitz 8 trillion times a Ssj God or blue or pink, green, brown and gangrene inbetween army of fused Potara earing with fusion dance of those fused beings stacked on top. Ultimately futile cos he didn't reach his potential cos he couldn't be bothered. Just like Gohan is a choke artist scared to fight bsh 95% of the time.

His zenkai was MASSIVE from that. Dude couldn't even touch Recoome, and then he's beating on transformed Frieza who Vegeta was even too shook to try. Kid was FIVE. Recoome with a PL of 40k and Gohan's highest attack was measured at just over 20k, then apparently is well over a million against Frieza. Anger from thinking Krillin died definitely probably played a role but that power was there regardless. Hell he was stronger than Goku at that point since Goku was recovering (without kaioken ofc)

Simply wrong, Gohan even without his hidden power potential is way higher than goku’s this isn’t a debate it’s been stated and shown throughout the series, for example gohan training with piccolo just for a year is way stronger than goku before king Kai’s training, goku got SSJ before his son had to form for over 4 years, Gohan trains for 1 year in the time chamber closes the gap and creates his own, Gohan was able to obtain SSJ after that he mastered it plus tapped into SSJ2, even taking SSJ2 away gohan was far superior at 9 years old, if gohan decided to train during the time skip even with just SSJ2 he would be above SSJ3 goku, Goku and Vegeta needed to train for 7 years straight to surpass cell saga gohan and they only did that while In SSJ2 which is insane, vegeta already stated gohan has the most potential in super, we see in just a few days gohan closes the gap again and is on par with blue and he hasn’t had to training goku and vegeta had this was just regular training on earth he also doesn’t have god ki, in the manga gohan could only get his fighting sense back before the tournament of power so he was still buu saga lvl as stated by piccolo but he grew in power against kelfa and surpassed goku he had the way better feats at the time, beast gohan with only his latent potential surpassed goku who has been training years with whis, gohan hasn’t even got serious training and we still see his potential and growth is far better than goku’s even while training on earth at a disadvantage, Goku is also way older than gohan imagine gohan’s power at their age if he really trained, goku at gohan’s age was turning SSJ while gohan at that age is above mui goku, gohan has the most potential in the series even without his hidden power his growth is just far superior.

Honestly i fucking hate the concept of rival fusions making it more powerful. Thats just a dumb line that makes no sense, being in sync should make you more powerful not literally hating your other half. Family boost or friendship boost, hell even mutual care boost would be better. Rivalry is the exact opposite of togetherness, they didnt even learn tactics together until recently in super theyre clunky as fuck. @@Zukarinkuarii you're confusing rate of speed in gaining power to ultimate limits of power. 100% not the same thing so you're DEAD WRONG here. SSJ3 alone debunked your whole higher potential theory as if not for the Kai, Gohan is stuck at entry level ssj2 without the rage boost he had during Cell Games due to the emotional special circumstances. Even with it he isn't above Goku's SSJ2 , maybe equal. You're also conveniently forgetting IF Goku didn't waste his time prioritising his son over himself when he training his son from a saiyan up to an ssj1 to an ssj2 (in what was logically likely half of the months of that 1 year in the HBTC) he'd most likely be the 1st to tap into ssj2 himsef. Just like he was the 1st to hit ssj1 & ssj3 that farrrr succeeded Gohan's ssj2 own training/enraged limit. Another vital point you're ignoring, WHAT IF the old kai worked on Goku, he'd likely be the same power lvl as Gohan or even surpass him. Remember that his SSJ3 was in its entry level non-mastered, very crude form. We didn't see what it can really do had Goku mastered that to maximum efficiency and power output. Goku had more potential in that itself and this was temporarily on display by the end of the Buu arc when he seemed to improve its power rapidly as he actually overcame Ultimate Gohan in Buu's body (don't discount it just cos it's anime like most detractors like to do out of their own bias - all source materials count). He also did this rather comfortably might I add. Goku has always been superior than GOhan without the hidden power. Equal to mayyyyyybe slightly inferior to Gohan with his hidden power at its peak. He isn't the strongest nonfused character. That goes to Goku at the end of the buu saga.

@@lordraiden7397 How did Goku get thousands of times stronger between fighting Fat Buu as SSJ3 and beating Kid Buu? He can't get a zenkai as he never gets near death and coming back from the dead doesn't give them. Zenkais are specifically being injured heavily and/or near death. He doesn't get a boost after fusion either as that's never stated to be the case. At no point does he get remotely hurt enough to get a Zenkai and Vegeta said the ones on Namek were unusual. He didn't get stronger fighting as that's a Super thing. In fact Goku himself straight up said when Gotenks' fusion runs out Gohan himself could take Super Buu, not himself. So even coming back from the dead didn't make him strong enough to fight Super Buu. You think Kid Buu is somehow stronger?

​@@teezy786lots of goku fans would assume so because he's the MAIN character and also the one who "defeated" Buu and the anime got a lot of replaced lines compared to the sub version so it misled a lot of people although people who really understand z would definitely say that there is no debate here that Gohan is far stronger than ssj3 Goku at the end of z (not even accounting Goku's ssj3 stamina problem)

@ look I'm not really a fan of Gohan getting some insane power buffs without putting the effort into it, Cell Saga is fine he spent nearly 5 years training with Goku and Picollo. After that though he was just lazy and only got buffed because of his insane potential. Like I don't hate him at all, he's a good character and one of the few who doesn't like fighting. He's solid. That being said though, Goku absolutely wasn't stronger than Gohan at any point in the Buu Saga. People always bring up Gokus statement of Kid Buu being the best which is directly counter acted by Buutenk's statement about being the strongest Majin ever and he'd know about all his previous forms. It makes no logical sense for Goku to get more powerful without any kind of Zenkais, which would need to be even more insane than the out of the world ones on Namek which Vegeta straight up said were unusually strong. Goku didn't seem confident taking on Super Buu after Gotenks' fusion wore off, straight up saying Gohan could take him on, not himself. Fusion doesn't give you a buff after its done and getting stronger in battle isn't a thing till Super. Goku and Kid Buu fanboys are delusional man.

@KirboDreamland No because anime only statements and the dazenshuu basically laying it out. Goku is constantly referred as the strongest despite gohan being there. In the Akira toriyama interview, he only states or refer to goku as the strongest. Daima even confirms goku is the strongest and that's only 3 months after buu. You gohan fans simply refuse to believe that goku was only weaker until he got revived. The chozenshuu even refers to ulthan as an absorption on par with ssj3 goku. Goku said they couldn't take on super buu in reference to their size as their power was 1 /100th of their strength. Also, Why couldn't it make logical sense? When gotenks fusion wore off, he said he was disappointing and that Gohan could take him. That doesn't imply goku couldn't, he simply hands the victory to gohan. The whole point of the arc first half was Goku simply giving the new gen a hand to fight majin buu. Please stop strawmanning arguments and actually LOOK into the sources present. Your assessment of goku's strength is ALL assumption.

@@DetBird We also seen that when base gohan and goku fought in the anime gohan had to clear advantage which is insane since goku has SSG absorbed in his base also he has trained with whis for years he also trained in the time chamber with Vegeta. Gohan did that with just a few days of training on earth, before this we also seen a SSJ Gohan overpowering a SSJ goku who had god absorbed in his base and this is when gohan said he was retired.
