Why would you say that? Essentially Wordpress is just reading the content from databases. This is using Airtable or Google Sheets. For me, I find Wordpress buggy. There are so many plugins by third parties. I think this is very scalable. And repeatable. If a project becomes wildly profitable - that’s a good problem to have. And it can be fixed by hiring a coder to do custom work. So I don’t see the problem in this case.

@InvisibleCreatorTV I never said anything regarding the wordpress and I'm myself coder and also a front end developer so I think I can handle the things and for backend airtable is a good option for a small scale

Yes. You can create the site on Unicorn Platform. You do need a paid plan to export. Currently the lowest one is $9 per month. Then you can export it and upload via FTP using a software like FileZilla. Sounds like you have an idea to launch 🚀

Softr is really cool. I can see how it makes sense for those playing around with an idea, and those who decide to build on it. You avoid a lot of coding - which can get very expensive much more than you may realize. (Speaking from experience with Upwork.)

I don't think Unicorn Platform is pricey. It gets pricey when you have multiple projects, IMO. But keep in mind, Unicorn Platform is hosting your site - and it is coded very clean. Fast-loading. Geared for SERPs right out of the box. Anyhow, you can give it try and only pay if you want to publish it to your own domain. They have great directory templates.

Monetization would be display ads or sponsored ranking. Neither will be fast considering you need to become popular first for either of those to be worth anything. Directories are a long game. You'll have to be willing to lose money for a while. If you get lucky with your niche if can be faster.

The blogging feature is basic. But it’s clean. You can set a separate subdomain to something like ghost or Wordpress if you prefer to use a different platform specific for blogging. I am going to use the Softr blog for my project, personally.

Which ad publisher network are you considering? Adsense? Unicorn Platform is block-based. So you can easily add HTML code with the HMTL block. So it might be easier than you think.

Correct. If you are building a directory with a lot of members, you have to look at the costs for that. In my directory I’m not concerned with members. So it might not be the best option if you need to make your project Cashflow immediately

Right now Unicorn is integrated with Google Sheets. I want to get more into Airtable and have my assistant be able to add data. When it comes to multimedia and images, I find Airtable to be more stable to build a site from. So I’ll be building it using Airtable for this project. I do want to become more comfortable building with no code and I think using Airtable and Softr is a good step

There are lots of creative ways to think about directories. At first, like you, I just assumed a local business directory was the main purpose of building a directory. People underestimate the effects of AI on the SERPs.

The faceless model has infinite creativity. there are a ton of other options. What you say is just not true. Now lots of poor quality AI only content won’t be shown as frequently as high quality content. That much is true. But there is tons of opportunity
