Hey I’ll give you the colors, I mean it’s more natural but I like the Dreamcast colors because it’s so arcade like, bright vast colors like “most” mode 3 games and I heard there’s some Anti-ailising on Dreamcast could be why it’s sharper and cleaner in some instances especially in test drive le mans, I mean if you see some objects in the distance their instance much jaggy edges compared to PS2 I’ve noticed this on a real crt tv only using av cables on my Dreamcast I got a couple days ago (after beating Shinobi 3 on genesis) I’ve noticed the Dreamcast is superior in many ways, especially when it comes to the joystick design. While it doesn’t have two joysticks it has less chance to get drift on it’s one joystick. There’s a video covering it. It’s like Hall effect except the Dreamcast joystick uses magnets. And apparently isn’t even connected to the board. Also if you could I’d like you to check out these three games on Dreamcast if possible Unreleased but was released online half life on Dreamcast Soldier of fortune not the best but not unplayable. Gta 3 beta or alpha.

I'm obsessed with the design of this phone, but the camera is really killing it for me. I'd even be willing to pay more if the camera matched the Pixel 5 at least, but I wouldn't say its photos even look as good. Clean android is so good. Repairability is even better. The two updates seems like a very very bad point. If I'm supposed to able to repair this device, will I actually WANT to when it hasn't had any android updates in years?

ps2 is ugly when the game use interlacing instead of progressive resolution. i wonder why didn't they remove interlacing completely

A bit of a correction: the number of cars on tarmac/normal tracks on GT4 is six, not eight. It gets reduced on special conditions tracks down to just two due to hardware limitations. The number of vehicles on the track on GT PSP is more akin to what we see in Tourist Trophy, also due to hardware limitations (on both the PS2 and the PSP). Otherwise, great video. great analysis, ps2 version has 6 drivers on track in total not 8, surprised u haven't mentioned anything about cockpit view and working rear mirrors in psp ver. it looks even much better if you emulate it on PPSSPP and happy gngstlkn'

Bro idk if it's me but I think the driving physics are more realistic in the psp version. I went back and played gt 4 and noticed it right away. I also read somewhere the physics of the psp version are from gt 5 prologue 🤔

GT PSP was the only Gran Turismo game I invested time into, on my friend's borrowed PSP. I loved collecting cars, especially those legendary JGTC racecars!

some other small little things psp is missing: - psp has simplified wheels, they're just flat textures for wheel spokes & no rendering of car brakes. - psp doesn't have exhaust flames.

Audio- PS2 for the win. GT3 was one of the first games I got for my PS2 as a teenager, and I loved GT4 even more when it came out. I did have the PSP version, which was fun, but it definitely felt like ''GT4 LITE''.

The multiplayer "ad-hoc" system link mode on the PSP version is arguably an improvement over the LAN system link on GT4. It's much more simple to link up multiple PSPs than multiple PS2s being that each PS2 requires a memory card with its own network configuration installed on it. Gran Turismo in a system link multiplayer mode is a great time, and the PSP makes this easier.

Bro if the ps2 didnt have a dvd player. The Dreamcast would have rivaled the sales of the ps2 in that situation. Dreamcast all day imo. All it needed was a duel joystick revision on the controller

Well, repairabillity is of course a lot more important if they use the ancient Gorilla Glass 3 rather than Victus (or even Victus 2) which most similarly priced phones nowadays have... in fact even much cheaper phones usually have at least GG 5 nodaways.

How is the battery life compared to Nokia XR21?

I bought Dreamcast on launch day 9/9/99 it's literally the only console I bought on the day of launch. I took that little console to all my friends and family's house and every single person couldn't believe how incredible it was. I loved this console and I did my part trying to impress upon everyone how great it was. PS2 having DVD Playback really is what killed it.

Coders are fixing the textures, loading, and performance on DC. Apparently, the textures were never optimized, making them very heavy on DC. They're supposed to be adding some ps2 models to it as well!

Lol bud, you installed 2 out of 3 caps backwards, only 1 of them is actually functioning. The cap has a white stripe to mark the negative side of it, the PCB has either a plus sign to mark where the positive side goes or in this case it looks like the PCB has a band for the negative side. Either way the PCB has them all facing the same direction and yours are not. Other than that caps are easy, 350C-400C is fine but there's no need for flux on stuff like that, the solder has a bit of flux inside the core.

You have some of those capacitors on backwards. They are polarised, and the thick white stripe on the side of the capacitor needs to go on the same side as the white semicircle on the PCB. Having them installed backwards means they won't work, and the ones that are installed the right way around will be under a lot more stress.

Broken OG Xbox? 2 main failures to check is the clock capacitor, and the copper lanes underneath the motherboard that goes to the socket for the power on button and eject button. If it doesn't powers on, those lanes have usually corroded away due to the clock capacitor's leakage and needs to be bridged. Have fixed my own Xbox and a friend of mine that had these two faults.

You used incorrect deinterlacing. Literally reducing resolution in half for PS2 to make it look blurry is not how you shoud do such comparisons

At this point, do a full replacement of every cap, it gonna be costly but it gonna grant you many years without opening it again, or worse, dead pcb traces. BTW, nichicon is one of the best capacitors brands, microsoft did a great choice for consumers and for itself. If i have to replace capacitors, I try as much as i can to go with this brand or best well known brands (rubycon, elna, panasonic, ...). Samxon is ok, not the worst brand, it'll do the the job, but it's definitively not on the "buy it" list. Beside, thank you for this vidéo, i'll check mine and consider a full recap soon.

Also remove the clock cap! They tend to leak and destroy the board, but yours seems to not have leaked yet
