TLT Foreigner
Come see Tallahassee Little Theatre's production of "The Foreigner" Feb 24 through March 13, 2011. Directed by Sheri Cox, and starring Bob Myers, Martha Winters, Lindsay Stratton, Scott Mock, Kevin H. Doar, Ryan Akers, and Boyd Murphree.
"The Foreigner" is the story of Charlie, a somewhat bland Englishman, who is brought to a rural Georgia fishing lodge by his friend. Once there, Charlie panics, afraid he'll be unable to speak to anyone. Froggy decides to fix this by telling the other guests that Charlie can't speak English! A cast of colorful characters interact with Charlie, discovering new things about themselves--and teaching Charlie a few important lessons, too.

Time Lapse: A Sharpened Heart

This portrait of the Queen of Hearts from Alice in Wonderland was painted over three days, during my spare time. Probably around six or seven hours total. The technique is a little different from my other works. I don't usually start in black and white, but it gave me a nice chance to explore the lines and shapes. Her costume is an update on a design I did for a play version of Alice in Wonderl...

basically he says he prefers traditional painting but he likes the image you made and respects your decision to do it digitally
i believe someone ripped an unpublished nheiras song ruclips.net/video/xlnmjwSuGBM/видео.html
Translation: I think this is really great but I prefer real painting. It seems you can paint without a PC, Can I see you paint to study your technique. Nice work, greetings.
years later, this still remains as one of my favorite speed painting videos ever. I like to come back randomly and rewatch it once in a while. I would love to buy a print of this some day (:

marry me? <3
The irony of the thing is awesome.
@RAVENEDD Computers software emulate tradition paint very well these days. To achieve the same quality in tradition painting would take x3 as long if not a lot more. No point.
@Mercuralis thank you so much for answering that, was asking myself that, btw really nice portrait
@ehlin88 It saddens me that you are judging another persons creativity. People that are born with the talent should be able to express themselves freely without judgement. Every individual is allowed to have their view on the painting but for you to put down an artist because of your disagreements is incomprehensible. Please, before you stab any other artists in their hearts, develop a sense of understandability and realize the perspective the artist may be trying to portray.
@lonSinceInsane Well, fuck you for not reading in to shit. I have my "art" all over the intrawebs. JUST NOT HERE. Most artists are not piss poor. They're either rich kids who do it because they can afford it, or poor people who has IT but cant show it because they cant work on it because they don't have shit. Well, whatever. This ass licking stupidness you people, who doesn't know wtf you're talking about, are working makes me sick.
you are AWSOME sir :D i just loved th evideo. the attention to detai was so gratifying. Thanks a lot for sharing
Very nice work. Melissa! Do you often use the golden spiral (golden rectangle) in your compositions?
@ehlin88 It's called being polite, love. It's not sugar-coating. When you critic someone, you're supposed to be nice about it because you can offend the artist, who most likely put a lot of work into the piece. Yes, the proportions are off, but that doesn't mean you can be a prick about it.
Looking forward to tonight's performance.
Wow! Looks terrific! Can't wait to see the full production.
@DeltanBubbles I'm not saying this sucks.. I'm saying it's not as wonderful as everyone thinks. Not everyone can learn how to draw. Not everyone can see the flaws. Not everyone can understand it. And, wtf does it matter if no one knows who I am? Am I not allowed to say what I think if I don't have similar videos to show? I don't get it.. I don't get why everyone sugarcoats everything.
@DeltanBubbles The reason why I haven't got any videos is because I'm too lazy. And I have a deaviantartaccount and my own webgallery. Just because I don't upload awesome videos of my art does it mean I don't know shit? Fuck that. I have this account mainly for finding music and gurus. I'm honest and I will tell someone if they suck at what they are doing.
@ehlin88 Buffoon.
4 people dind´t liked this?! CUT THEIR HEADS!!!
@Mercuralis I THINK HE WAS SAYING HE LIKED IT BETTER ON DEVIANT ART, SEAMS LIKE HE WAS RUSSIAN GREAT ART BY THE WAY IM ASTOUNDED BY IT!!
wow! great work!
this remains one of my longstanding favorite paintings! I love watching the process
@Mercuralis Plus, it's not human. good work mate, wish i had painting skillz/talent. im only awesome in the web design area..
WOW. I am trying to learn Corel Painter and you, ma'am are an inspiration.
i can say only one: W O W!!!!!!!
Love your works, they are just...amazing :) Might I ask a question, how long have you been drawing ?
What brushes are you using?
this is awesome! (it reminds my of the book - the looking glass wars)
@ehlin88 If you wish to critique someone, honor them with the ability to type in an acceptable manner at least. After you have accomplished that much, why not help them rather than insult them. It makes me sad that there are people like you in the world who cannot admit that someone did a good job, even though there were a few mistakes. Did you notice Mercuralis' use of atmospheric perspective, or how the slight distortion of proportions makes the character seem more alien? I did.
Wow. Just wow. Just the detail you put in is absolutely astounding. Someday I hope to be as skilled as you are! I'll be watching you on deviantart, I hope to see more work from you in the future.
M A E S T R O
im soooo jealous of your skillz!
Amazing! Loved how you repeated the theme of hearts in your painting. Did you use a graphics tablet? If so is there any in particular you'd advise me?
it's great! thanks for sharing!
this is beautiful. u did an awesoem job. :)
@RAVENEDD Huh? Not sure I followed that...
I THINK IS GREAT BUT I REALY PREFER THE REAL PAINTING. BUT IT SEEMS THAT U CAN PAINT WITHOUT A PC I CAN C IT FOR THE TECNIK, NICE WORK GREETHINGS.
wow beautiful and amazing :D
@ehlin88 Nobody is born with the knowledge of how to render the human anatomy in art, that is one of the hardest things to do and takes study to get good at, you jackass. If you come back saying that YOU were born with it, you are full. of. crap.
Muy inspirador!!!
just downloaded the painter 11 trial this helps alot good post
@ehlin88 In soviet russia, everyone thinks they're a critic.
@ehlin88 First: this is an old, flawed painting. It remains here because people liked it. Second: What money? I'm a self taught, piss-poor artist who learned in her spare time. I don't make money off these vids, and I don't make much off my art. Third: There's talent and there is skill. Talent is something you're born with, but without training... it's worthless. Skill is what you get by learning. Every piece I do: I learn. I'd rather try & make mistakes than be a bitter, armchair critic.
This makes me sad.. You got no sense of perspective and and how a human body is built.. All you are good at is shadowing and colouring. It makes me sad that lots of you people have the money to try to be good, when people that's born with IT cant.
toootally loved it!!! freakin awesome!
Nice work! I also started experimenting with corel painter. I just have a quick question about printing resolution. What resolution works fine to print out your work on a 8 x 11 inch photo paper?
@celestialsunberry you can see they are useing around 7 layers on the bottom right there
@celestialsunberry it is beautiful just experiment with different brushes~
This is so beautiful!! I totally wish I understood what brushes you were using, though. O_O I'm at a loss...I have Corel Painter 11. Are you using something similar to a...multiply layer? I get so confused because it seems you can only paint on one layer and make it look good. << I just don't quite get it! Oh well. :3
