GFX100sii… Upgrade or not?
Let's discuss upgrading to the GFX100sii coming from the GFX100s? Or purchase if you’re new to the GFX system? We’re going to determine if the autofocus is good enough to justify an upgrade. We’re going to run several tests including an intense music video shoot for human eye af, and a bunch of dog shots to test pet eye AF.

FujiFilm GFX 100S Review (with GF110mm & GF120mm) | a 3 Week Review in NYC 4K
Nice! 50R, GFX 50mm, Pentax 150mm. Yep, I keep it simple. But I also have an X100.
Nothing wrong with simple! How's that pentax 150mm treat you? Any plans for a GF lens soon?
@ for portraits it’s sublime. And it’s light as a feather, barely 1 pound. I’d like to some day get a 20-35 to cover wide but holy cow even used it’s a fortune 😆
If I was forced to buy a 5th gen camera I'd have to pick the XH2/2S over the T5, even though I hate the useless selfie screen. The second you place a real flash on top of the T5 and add one of the pro lenses the meager grip becomes a cramped nightmare (flashes/lighting are usually ignored in discussions of camera performance and ergonomics). A $125 grip add-on is also silly and not enough at all for pros - Fuji, bring back the GRIP! An XT-6 with the guts of an H2 and upgraded build quality would be my preferred setup at this time, probably. It would be relatively easy to take the "custom modes" off the wheel and put them into the Q menu that is pretty quick to access. Heck, I'd like 7 setups for camera settings, and 7 for film sims, since I change those quite a bit.
For me, that flip out screen for photo is a deal breaker. If I didn't go GFX, i'd wait years like I did when the 2015 macbook came out. Refused to buy it, finally got a new one in 2020 LOL. Interesting point though - would the grip really make things that cramped? I think it'd be the same body as the XH2 more or less with a grip no? I think the XT6 and XH3/s need to have the same screen as the A7R5. Flip out and 3 way articulation. It'd be awesome!
@@MikeBanom My point was that the XT series cameras for years had vertical grip options, and Fuji dumped them for the X-T5 claiming "poor sales" (Ok). I have one on my X-T3 and it makes using red badge lenses/on camera flash way more comfortable, not to mention it means all-day shooting is possible (though, given the shutter placement etc, it is still not ergonomically perfect). Without that option, the X-T5 was an automatic no-go for me. The super power of the X-T3 is that it is small enough to serve as a great "walk around" camera but, once gripped, is basically ready for pro work because big lenses and flashes feel better balanced. All that said, an XH2 with no grip appeals to me because it would be a little smaller than my current (gripped) setup, with a much better battery. I might even be able to get by without a grip, in that sense saving some money. But I'd hate the flip out screen. The tilt-screen is where its at for me, and yes, the A7R5 screen is what every camera now MUST have!
I appreciate the detailed review - and 100% this is exactly the body/lens setups I'd want for both cameras. Yup, all else equal, larger sensor/more megapixels is better than smaller sensor/less megapixels. XH2 is a very strong performer, but I'd like to see Fuji speed up the ES performance to 20 fps with no crop / less rolling shutter. They'd probably have to stack it, but as it stands, I think the ES performance was the biggest letdown of the new sensor. When the GFX can hit about 10fps with little/no compromises I will likely have to go all-in. BTW - how did you find the AF of the 110 vs. the 56/50-140 on the Fuji? I'm praying that Fuji will eventually release a portrait stunner like the 56mm, but with super fast AF motors (the 90mm is too long for indoor work, really, I like the versatility of an 85mm-equivalent).
The GF110 is on the slower side of AF. XF50-140 is pretty fast! I havent used it a ton with the XH2 but naturally out of the 3 you listed, it is def the fastest. I found the XF56 gen 2 kind of slow. But it makes sense being a 1.2 portrait lens. Thanks for watching and taking the time to leave a comment!
@@MikeBanom NP - I'll have to edit my comment since I made a few errors in it - but kudos for understanding what I was asking! I meant to say I'd like a portrait stunner that also has stunning AF performance - the 56 WR does very well, but is definitely more challenging to work with at times.
Do you think updating is necessary for fashion photography? I have no intention of taking photos of animals or sports. Thank you for your response.
IMO if you shoot faster moving subjects OR really need AF to be crucial (lock eye) for your profession its def a worthy upgrade for sure. If i shot weddings, I'd buy the 100sii.
Gf63mm is most underrated!!
Def!
What person hates on dogs?? Dogs love us more than they love themselves. I love dogs like I love my GFX 👊
You sound like my kind of people!! Well said sir haha
Hey Mike, would you happen to know what the macro factor is with the 110mm coupled to the 45mm extension tube? (I'm looking at scanning film and need a 1:1) Cheers man & great video! Best, Tom.
Hey Tom, I appreciate you shooting me a question, unfortunately, I don't know the answer for this one. Sorry! Thanks for watching!
@@MikeBanomno worries Mike! Have a great one 🤙🏼😃
Same things are happening with xh2s apsc sensor. I dont think its a lens issue because of the big elements. I think the issue its in the camera. Great video btw!
Thanks for watching!
It’s one of the best lens i have used with the gfx 100 ii. Versatile 44mm full frame angle too. Super sharp. No purple fringing I can see and optically fantastic. The f1.7 seems to translate to f1.2 on my canon full frame system and the bokeh is also beautiful. Good review mate. I’ve seen a few RUclipsrs haven’t been so impressed with it which has surprised me a lot.
Really? What were their complaints? So far all the reviews I have seen of this lens was favoriable.
Thanks good sir!
I’ve read a bunch of initial feedback with the standard “slow af”, which you know… GFX lol
@@ryanvacation7319 complaints about slow af. Weight. Noise when focusing etc.
Cheers sir. This was the final video I needed to see about whether I should upgrade from the 100s to 100s ii. I’ve just saved a couple of grand. Thanks boss.
I got your back good sir! Thanks for leaving a comment letting me know - def helps.
The GF 55 f1.7 is my "new standard", as they call it. But the AF, while better than the GF80, is far from the speed of the GF50. For that reason alone, I still keep the GF50 and sometimes use it over the 55mm. I wish the GF55 had the AF speed of the GF50. I own the GF 23, 50, 55, 80, 120, 100-200. I am hoping for a new GF35 or GF40 lens with comparable AF speed as the 50.
Perfectly said - GF55, the new standard!
Both are great lenses. But for product photography I'd go for the tilt-shift.
I'd love to try the tilt-shift lenses out!
GF110 f/2 is the best portrait lens ever made!
Nice video Mike! Just switching from sony 7r… bodies and ton of lenses to gfx system - thinking of getting the 20-35(or 23 because its more than half the price used…) then the 55 and the 110 - with the 55/110 combo i dont see a real need for the 45/32-64/80/45-100 …. Maybe a bit later the 250mm and for Africa trips the new 500mm - quite hard to get a good gfx setup because with sony you have sooooo many options 😉 - I‘m also switching because I too much stuff and when travelling my luggage is full of camera gear… only lens i really miss in the gfx lineup something like a fast wideangle maybe a 20 2.8 or even more open for milkyway shots - dont always want to bring a star tracker with me - just subscribed great channel thanks for honest reviews!!1
We're very much on the same page! Check out the video I did talking about the lenses in my kit. We're very aligned! One thing that is kind of fun with Fuji is being restricted. It makes decisions easy. If you want midrange, easy. GF55. That lens eliminated the 45, 50 and 63. Not necessarily, but IMO it did. Then the 110 is superior to the 80 IMO. wide? Well the 20-35 is better than the 23mm in terms of IQ. anyway, IMO you're spot on.
@@MikeBanom yeah its easy and also hard to decide… started 2005 with canon equipment then nikon now sony and after some years I get a bit bored of systems I know toooo well - so something new has to come and be excited to learn a new system - first I thought about Hasselblad x2d but the gfx system is superior except the look - the x2d is really a beauty but but af slower no video function(nice to have but wont be used much) and lenses that deliver the sams quality for double the price doesnt make sense - I‘m glad to leave sony because I hat too much - have the 14gm/20/24-70gm/40/85gm/135gm/70-200gm/200-600/ and some macro laowa … lenses always too much to carry around 😂 - so only 18 gfx lenses to choose from is refreshing 😂 checking your videos and others to eliminate lenses that are loud/focus breathing/have ca‘s80mm)/extend when focusing … keep your fine reviews going like them a lot👍🏻 by the way love dogs too - have a great dane that has to work as a model for me to test lenses 😜
14:30 - Gfx @ ISO100, H2 @ ISO400? No wonder the smaller one looks so much noisier... What did I miss? In terms of DR, 5 raising shadows by 5 stops is never needed really. The X cameras can do 3 stops without problems, which normally is already quite extreme, as long as the photographer doesn't make stupid mistakes.
Could someone add up the cost of all the gear mentioned in the comments. Must be a million bucks.
Ahahahaha thats a great idea! I could run the stats and see what the most popular lenses are from all who commented. Although it wouldnt be a MASSIVE pool. Funny!
Why you didnt compare both cameras shooting some phones and compare them?
Phones? What are you saying?
17mm f4 Laowa, 19mm 2.8 Laowa, 35-70mm, 110mm
How do you like the 17mm?
At the moment I have settled on the 23, 30, 50, 55, and 110. I was planning to sell the 50, and maybe buy the 80, but I just can't get myself to do it, the 50 is a sweet walk-about lens. I previously had the 45, 63 and 120, but I found that they were redundant, and settled on the above. I liked them all, there are no bad lenses in the lineup.
Valid point, the only thing I would say is every Fuji lens is a walk around if you have the willpower 😁
@@MikeBanom It is true, they are all so good, but at night, I like the relatively compactness of the 50.
Indeed your request to Fuji a super wide angle F1.7 or F1.4 for Astro photography 👌
Fuji you better be listening!!!!
It still terrible. You don’t buy a Fuji for their auto focus. It’s nice to have a Samsung T7 to save instead of sad cards.
🤷♂️
I think it's better to use APSC on product shot specially if you're going to focus stack a lot. Medium format is overkill for focus stacking.
I mean potentially sure. Depending on what final resolution you need. But I upgraded to the GFX to have more resolution for product shots. I recently did a watch shoot and I thought the XH2+XF80 would be just as good as I could get closer with the XF80 vs GF120. But in reality even cropping heavy, the XF files are really no where near the quality of the GFX. Beyond resolution too. Color and all. So I won't say there isnt a specific use where using the XF would be better or maybe you have a cheap project and you dont want to use the GFX, but for me, I'd pretty much always use the GFX.
@@MikeBanom No offense. I also have GFX & XF, but I used GFX only for landscape and XF for macro & product as it slow down my work process on focus stacking because of very huge files to process. That's just my suggestion & opinions for your viewers that is in my same position. No right or wrong but only a suggestion
Great content! I don't know how I didn't find your channel much sooner! I was looking at purchasing a 23mm, and you images from your 20-35mm solidified my decision on making the purchase. Can't wait to see what else you share :)
Thanks for watching and taking the time to leave a comment! I have a mega comparison video on the 23 vs 20-35.. But most likely wont be up until Nov as I'm traveling a bit this month. The 20-35mm is the right choice if you want the better lens. 23 is a better choice budget wise.
Good thoughts, thanks! Ps. Your office is very echoey...
Ha - yeah this was my 3rd video before i had a lav. Sound super bad.
outstanding review... totally agree on the 110... and I'm really really smitten by the 55. I have the 45 and everytime I use it, I'm abundantly satisfied... but the 55 have such a special quality and superb separation so I'm gonna have to bite. BUT I have the same lens lust for the 16-35! Hey, appreciate your review!!!
You won't regret the 55 purchase! Thanks for watching!
I have owned this lens now for probably 5 months and I wanted to come back and comment. It's just a great piece of glass. I say to everyone just but this lens, the distortion is not a major issue in many scenarios. You can correct it in post, but it's not a major issue that I found it's just amazing image quality.
Perfectly said.
As soon as things start moving, Fuji AF system is hopeless. it's just hilarious how may shots you have to fire just to get one in focus shot. and this is the " improved AF " version makes it even more hilarious.
You do have a point 😁. But as I said, its a medium format studio camera that you can bring outside of the studio. AF is not the strong point.
@@MikeBanom i know, i totally understand, but just still difficult to adjust the mindset and expectation for some one came from and still mainly shooting with good FF like Z9 and A1.
@@dannyli9424 100% agreed. It really just depends on what you shoot. If you can get away with not needing AF pretty much, using a GFX will get you the best image quality. But it all depends.
Why would anyone autofocus with haze? Grab focus manually in clear air and lock.
So you could get that same shot manual focus and lock eye when a dog is walking towards you?
Walking yes. With a manual lens. Not playing. Definitely not running. That’s for an old school highly skilled specialist. But I was talking about the dude sitting in a chair with a smoke machine chugging away. You measure from the focal plane to his eye, set the lens and leave it. You’re not shooting wide open so he can move a few inches and still be fine. The focus depth doesn’t change. And shot at a reasonable aperture he can shift quite a lot. 5.6 is handy. How do you think they’ve shot movies for over a century?? Now they have laser guided focus pulling rigs but many many movies are made with a human focus puller and a monitor or in the past, pre-measured marks in the floor and a puller with the eyes of a god. Autofocus is way overused and frankly, a crutch for many. The focus features on my 5D Mk IV are pretty basic and I rarely missed shooting bicycle racing, my dogs and events. I would like a Sony FF as a second camera for the Fuji GFX 100S II I’m about to order. The canon has a wonky dial that’s not worth fixing. A proper global shutter camera would be awesome if I were returning to production work but my back won’t take holding a gimbal, etc. and as a portrait photographer that A9 is kind of a dog. I love autofocus for photographing sports. For dogs and kids playing and events where speed is essential. Video cameras don’t need it for action because of back focus and even for events you can zoom and focus by hand. That’s why people should use actual video cameras with zoom buttons like they use for news for event work. Modern Hybrid cameras are cinema cameras for prepared productions. They’re not the best tool for a wedding or street. And modern video cameras don’t weigh 35lbs anymore!
@@f.kieranfinney457 Thanks for your response! I enjoyed reading it. Yeah well said on AF. For my 100s, I shoot manual most of the time honestly. For the 100sii I was mainly interested in pet eye AF. But for the most part, I dont see what the big deal on shooting manual is. Agreed most people use it as a crutch. Thanks for watching!
My Canon is ailing and my preference for replacement is the GFXs II. But. I am heavily invested in Canon lenses, speed lights and Paul Buff lights. The Canon stuff I can sell and the studio lights are universal. But I need an outdoor moonlight with HSS. Buff don’t have their HUB hss transmitter in a Fuji version. Another (much more $$$) option is a Profoto B10X or similar and again, no Fuji transmitter. They do have an on camera flash that (I think?) has a Fuji transmitter. Lighting gear is a problem for the Fuji brand. Though to be fair the same problem exists for my alternate choice, a used Leica. Did I miss an obvious option?
@@f.kieranfinney457 Funny you bring this up, I am in the very early stages of researching strobes for my studio. I currently use aputure 300d lights. So far I was considering either Godox 600s or the ProFoto B10s. I know, extreme. But both have Fuji transmitters. Apparantly the new Godox transmitter (X3) is really really nice. (amzn.to/3XFbDjV) Overall the B10s are nicer lights for sure, but not triple the price nicer. Also bowens mount is way better than the profoto mount. Its wild profoto doesnt have bowens. And lastly I ear the profoto transmitter isnt amazing. But I havent really made a decision yet. I am leaning godox though. (amzn.to/3TrwS6q)
muchas gracias por la info muy util me gusto mas el 110
Cheers
Vuelvo y lo repito, eres el mejor ! Haciendo estos videos, la mayoria pone su cara y no muestra ni una foto o video. No te olvides del vídeo es muy inportante!
Thanks for watching my videos! Unfortunately video on the GFX isn't something I'm really interested in showing. Maybe in the future! I wont say never.
@@MikeBanom claro... solo no te olvides de traer el x2d ii
I would love to own the 55mm over my 50mm. My 50R isnt my main camera body so I'm not going to invest further. I am happy adapting FF lenses
I bought my original GFX camera as a 2nd hand in the bundle with GF 32-64/4. But primarily I use it with adapted Sigmas 14-24/2.8, 40/1.4 and 105/1.4. The zoom needs some cropping but even though it provides crazy wide FoV and surprising amount of details. Sharp enough across the frame when stopped down to f/5.6 but still very usable at f/2.8 in the central 60-70% of the frame. The 40/1.4 is a true diamond. On a FF camera it is crazy sharp right from wide opened. On the 100Mpix GFX it is still very sharp wide opened (on par with GF 32-64 !!!) and crazy sharp from f/2 on. It has excellent microcontrast and so beautiful an unique rendering! The 105/1.4 is less sharp wide opened (still comfortably usable) but it only applies for looking at 100% magnification on a monitor. From f/2 on it is very sharp. The look it gives wide opened in a MF camera for full body or small group portraits is soooo appealing! And the quality of the bokeh of both primes is just staggering - soft, mild, with very natural transition from sharp to blurred. Both primes do cover the whole image circle of the 44x33mm sensor but of course with some vignetting. I do not see it as an issue since I like some amount of vignetting in the wide aperture shots and also because the exposure latitude of the GFX is so big that even some 2 EV corner correction does not downgrade the IQ at all. Personally I do not see any relevant reason to buy Fuji GF primes since those Sigmas are so damn good :-)!. Their build quality is also very good - all metal, weather sealed, put together like a tank, smooth comfortably damped zoom and focus rings... IQ is fantastic. And the ridiculously low price is very welcomed bonus on the top.
Interesting! I'll have to get my hands on some sigma primes to test!
Which is the best landscape lens?
depending on how wide you want to go - i found myself bouncing between the GF20-35 and GF55.
Only 4 lenses but more than years of savings.
Accurate. Haha
If you were to choose Fujifilm 23mm F2 vs this 30mm F2.8, which one would you choose? I can't decide..
What do you typically shoot?
@@MikeBanom Portraits - I have the 56mm F1.7 TTArtisan, I had the Fujifilm 23mm F2.8. I liked the portability for travel pictures but ended returning because the autofocus was terrible on close distance for the food pictures I usually take when I go to try new restaurants.
@@DarklvlAge Not this XF30 macro would be ideal for portraits, but also, it might not be horrible. For food i could see this being AWESOME! XF23 f2 better for portraits for sure. I have a link in the description if you want to grab the XF30 😇 I REALLY enjoyed the XF30. I shoot GFX, but of all the newer XF glass i have tried, the XF18 1.4 and XF30 macro really really impressed me. I'd love to have a need for the XF30. Its a killer lens.
@@MikeBanom Thanks for input. I ended up getting the 30mm macro to test out. Does your 30mm macro have this weird zoom scope thing inside move around when you roll the lens upside down? Is this normal?
@@DarklvlAge I just had this lens for a few weeks from Fuji - sorry I dont remember.

FUJİ auto focus is terrible
Yes. But this is medium format. To be expected.
What Lens was the Shot at 35:00 taken with?
GF80mm - bit of a crop
I think Fuji's main problem with autofocus of moving subjects is that it doesn't seem to account for the time lag associated with pressing the shutter. It really needs to be able to estimate what this time lag will be and judge the change in focus position as it tracks a subject to predict where the subject is most likely going to be in the near future after the lag is accounted for. Then it needs to focus ahead of the subject so that when the photo is actually taken they are in focus at that moment. The 100s II and 100 II are better than the 100s in that they are better at tracking the subject. But they still do not lead the subject so they suffer from the same fundamental performance limitation. The only way to improve performance in a meaningful way is to fundamentally use a more advanced method of choosing the focus point. Unfortunately it seems they are not able to do this. So while the chip upgrade and processing speed improvement enables a major AF enhancement, the focusing algorithm does not.
Wild. Sounds like this could be adjusted via a firmware upgrade?
@@MikeBanom It probably could but it sounds extremely difficult to develop. The gfx can’t even focus on a fixed subject during video while mounted on a tripod without hunting back and forth constantly. The 80mm lens is horrible at this. I think this problem could by solved by introducing a dead zone which is a range where if the focus is close enough it won’t try to make an adjustment. That way instead of making tiny adjustment that it overshoots and has to correct back and forth constantly, it could just let the image go slightly out of focus as it remains still. Better AF for stills would be such a big improvement that they would probably release it in their next camera or the one after that. The video hunting fix should be done via firmware though. I consider it a bug. I’m just speculating on why AF is so bad too. For subjects coming towards me it seems to always focus behind them so that’s why I think it’s time lag related. If it could figure out how to focus a little bit in front of where it thinks it should then it could compensate and nail it. It’s extremely difficult because it would need to constantly judge out of focus information so it can stay in front of the motion. So I definitely have empathy for Fuji. But their inability to solve this problem is why a lot of people chose Sony even though they really want med format.
Thx for this great video! I am in the same ballpark. I own a GFX 100s and found myself looking at the new Mark 2. And to be honest at first I thought that was your fault. The GF 55mm is not the fastest af lens. But then I saw the results with your GF 110mm R LM WR. It got a "LM" linearmotor. But this one can't get a walking dog in focus too. And a walking dog is nothing special. Therefore I think I will keep my GFX 100s. For landscape, architecture, fine-art, ... maybe on the same level like a GFX 100s II. Have a nice day
Thanks for watching! Yeah. Unless you have a need for AF, I don’t think this is a crucial update for both of us! Also I didn’t get a chance to test the gf20-35 for AF. But it wasn’t really the look I wanted, and I knew the 110 was pretty fast. I think the 55 was honestly faster for pets vs the 110
I don't understand the term 'send a shout out". Why not just say "I with to Thank...." Some of your 'lock focus" photos were not sharp, fuzzy and or needed haze removal. Maybe it because we are looking at the photos through your monitor? I recommend you show us the photos through the computer and not via your monitor. I don't know how people do it, I am not into video at all. Still using evil Adobe?
Yeah I think it was prob something related to the screen sharing. I screen shared via my laptop screen so it’s def high res, not sure. I know there was ONE where the pet eye af didn’t fully lock but did like the shot. I’ll look into this. unfortunately evil adobe doesn’t really have a ton of great alternatives for me. (Photoshop, illustrator, etc)
Wasn't there a difference in EVF resolution and refresh rate ?
Yes! Ugh. I kept forgetting to mention this. But honestly, it didn’t really seem like an update in any way for at least how I used it. Typically when I do long exposures on the street or do studio I zoom in, and via the EVF felt exactly like my 100s. I was pretty disappointed.
@@MikeBanom I think EVF should be a very high priority. Having a low res EVF on High Res Camera just makes no sense to me. But I know many younger photographers shoot via the back screen. Im old school , and sad to see that no one chose to develop a hybrid View finder. Having both a mirror and a EVF would have been soooo nice
@@egestroem Perfectly said! I always end up using the EVF when i want to really check anything serious - just seems like a natural thing for me. So yeah, if the EVF was way higher quality it would have been a harder decision for me to make!
The IQ is NOT improved. The GFX 100 flagship model still reigns supreme, even with AF accuracy. They made the "Second" faster, but with that the AF became very inaccurate.
Agreed!
I confirm this , my gfx 100 is more precise on AF than my 100 II. The sensor is actually same. It’s just « new connections « to the sensor that makes readout faster. But anyway both are wonderful camera . Fuji needs to make full size integrated battery grip to call it professional camera
Yes yes yes!! I love it. Perfect camera for me. Great vid as always man🫡👍
Thank you for the kind words and watching!
I upgraded from the 50S ii to the 100s ii and that was a significant improvement, but I think the 100s kind of sits in between but I've done a corporate shoot the other day which was just people walking towards me and I were quite a distance away just with the 35 to 70 kit lens and the auto focus was really good on the new camera I think I took about 25 shots and 22 of them nailed focus. I wonder if it's around the pet detec, the lower heat rate is probably more to do with the AI of the autofics. I think it was a really really good video which I've finished watching and you were very fair. To be honest even with a new camera maybe in a years time I don't know if the auto focus will get much better. You are dealing with medium format and a huge shutter and big amounts of glass so the mathematics tells me that we are probably not gonna see much of any improvement on what we've got and you have to make that camera work, I'm wondering did you use continuous or single shot because I found my results to be better with single shot than using continuous. Great video mate!! And great Dog mate LEGEND. I really wasn't sure about GFX as a whole when I first got into it as I leaked. I just wanted the better dynamic range which I really loved the XT5 but missed the dynamic range of full frame and that's kind of how I ended up in GFX but once you accept the fact that it does have some drawbacks the image quality for me outweigh the fact that you might miss some shots. Yes in certain scenarios you are going to need to overshoot and that's just the reality of that system and I know people will bang on and say it's should be better well I'm sorry but it's medium format huge glass and huge amount of megapixels I think the camera and I'm talking about the new one does an incredible job.
I responded to this on FB, but I'm glad you enjoyed my dogs haha. Fingers crossed a firmware update comes out to make the pet AF way faster.
100% with you on pet photog hit rate boost - I switched from Fuji X-T4 (no animal eye AF) to Sony A7R5 (with AI animal eye AF) a couple of years ago and had a similar take My AF hit rate for my manic, hyper energetic beagle shockingly went from 20-30% to 70-80% and I’ve never looked back since
😳 RIP GFX lol
