Is using that exterior / deck paint dangerous (Eg toxic) to use indoors? How do we protect our health?
It’s water based and low VOC (volatile organic compounds) so it’s suitable for indoor and outdoor use. The VOC level is similar to most water based interior wall paints. It’s safer than using a 2 part tub and tile epoxy.

Where did you purchase these?
Hi, the link is in the video description to take you directly to what I used. Thanks.
Thank you for the baking soda hack :-).
So glad you liked it! 😄

Thanks so much! I've needed to replace a switch for months and thought I would need an electrician. Glad I came across your video. I replaced a switch and your instructions were helpful. My old dimmer did not have the neutral/grounding wire, so I replicated what they had. Now I'm thinking of replacing another with a dimmer switch. 😂
Yay! Glad you saved at this time of year and found my instructions helpful 😀
Great video! I can't wait to get started! One thing that worries me is covering over the silicone caulk with paintable caulk (Alex Flex). I have always been told caulk will not stick to caulk. Have you had any issues with it peeling off exposing the silicone underneath? Thanks so much!
Thanks! So funny story, I worked for the world's largest silicone caulk manufacturer GE. I know more than anyone really wants to know about caulk 😂 I used this process both in the shower and when I painted my granite counter too. All it takes is a light touch when tooling. Since we are covering it with paint, it gets sealed and protected. Basically acrylic caulk is a thick paint that dries. My shower has been cleaned and used about 2 years now. Go for it!
Thank you 🙏🏼
So glad you liked it! ❤️
Hmmm. I'm not sure you solved it lol. It didn't turn back on at 5:12
Still working all these years later...

It's a cabinet should have used a clear coat
That's unfortunate you believe this. This is a hybrid enamel and dries to a hard finish. All of my cabinets are painted with this and look amazing years later - even my kitchen cabinets. I worked for the paint company that developed the technology.

I love this!! You have given me an idea to not have to tear out my tile❤❤❤❤❤
Yay! That’s why I came up with this plan to paint. It buys TIME for sure. It’s been over 2 years and still perfect.

this was an ok tutorial i guess. but what you kind of forgot one of the most important steps. what you did to prep it. i happen to know from personal experience that without proper prep it will peel right off regardless of what kind of paint you use.
Yes, prep is key. This is a comprehensive video that includes cleaning and prepping your shower before painting.

Thanks for posting this video, so helpful and great advice of not using any abrasive cleansers. I was looking for days to find these. Thanks for a great video
You’re welcome!
Sounds interesting 🌻
I use the hole on the tool to cut tip on stuff and a large nail to puncture the inside before I start applying caulk. Or I buy the self stick caulk.
I’d rather listen to a longer, clear and concise video than a short one where the creator speaks too fast and you can’t understand unless you slow down the playback or put on the cc🥹! To each his/her own✌🏾 Old advice: If you don’t have anything nice to say… think of something; before you criticize!
I’m here to learn ( longer videos offer that). I’m not here to be entertained (instant gratification doesn’t )! Don’t be so rude!
I hope you will make a condensed version as this is too long. Good information but too long
Clips too short and too fast :(
PERFECT, I'm going to try this. Great job and explanation
You got it! Let me know how it goes!
Will this work for porcelain tile as well?
It will! The primer makes it so you can paint glossy slick surfaces.

Is it ok to do 2 coats of paint with the sprayer?
Absolutely! Just wait 2 hours or more between coats when spraying.
@ they look awesome! Thank you so much. I guess I can’t share my photo!
@@kimmitchell3139 YAY!! So glad you are happy 🤩
Just in case for those beginning to do this THIS is for WHITE cushions only, as bleaching non white fabric will f*** it up😅
I've used bleach on solution dyed outdoor fabrics like Sunbrella. Yes, to be safe white only 😂
Thanks for taking the time to share. You might want to paint from the furthest door and work backwards so you're not going to have to worry about dragging cords in wet paint. I'd also would have used a small roller for inside the house on the faceframes for a smoother finish after you used the brush
Agree, when I film I don't work the way I normally would so my behind is out of the way! I find using a roller on the face frames pushes the paint out on the roller causing drip. By using a brush, I have better control of the amount of paint I'm applying in such a small area. Thanks for your feedback and advice! It may help others.
Why would someone ‘not interested in whether or not their closet inside are aesthetically pleasing or not’ watch a video titled “ DIY Wire Shelf Cover for $25”? 🤡 😂😂😂
What color is in this video?
It’s Sherwin Williams Niebla Azul.
The actual switches are. Brown for mine. So idk if you can spray the whole thing
It's really easy to swap out the switches too! They are cheap. I have an OLD, but basic tutorial to install light switches: ruclips.net/video/21M7wXQHiGA/видео.htmlsi=ORZqowZb9VvAFk5j
I absolutely LOVE this! I am trying to make my black office chair rose Gold! The shimmer makes it difficult, perhaps this pretty pink is a better idea.
Thanks! Yes, the shimmer may wear off on you...
Help! I think My primer was too thin on the 2nd side
Not a problem! Wait an hour and apply another coat. You may need to increase the power of the spray. Test on cardboard until you get the coverage right.
@@passion.project I hope it works! I will try tomorrow. I had to use my brush because it was going to pool and drip. 🤦🏻♀️
cool
This is awesome 🤩
So glad it helps!!
No paint can last in shower, period. There are products that are used for tub and tiles that are way better than this
Hmmm, I beg to differ and worked in the paint industry plus consulted with the product experts at Sherwin Williams (they own Valspar) before painting this shower. It can last a long time - 5 years, but isn’t permanent. It’s a great option if you want to be able to choose the color, sheen or do a faux marble effect like I did. Can’t do that with an epoxy based product. Mine has been in use for over 2 years and is still perfect 👍🏻

Or it’s very thorough to teach you how to create a faux wood finish with paint. Some people want all the details and a little hand holding. Hope you find a less informative version that fits your needs…
