Kendall I so enjoyed this, even though I missed it as a live stream! I love your humor and self taught quilting knowledge as well as the tidbits, like when you started on your quilting journey and about your house. FYI, there are more than a few of us who press seams open and I have been one for many years😉. I’m also one who absolutely never intentionally sews over pins, at least not since my 3 years in home ec and I just turned 78! I don’t want to have to take a damaged machine to be repaired, that is a money waster, I’d rather spend my dollars on fabrics😄! Thanks for such a fun and informative time!

Great job! I couldn't make the live but caught it on replay this morning. Love that you keep it real! Personally I think perfection is overrated!🤫 I do try to make sure it is "close" but if it isn't I too do not have the time or inclination to futz with it!

You are doing fine for the space that you have to work in. I love to do the geometry when enlarging a block to a larger or smaller size. I do my flying geese either way, just depends on what I want to do and if I have enough material (if using charm packs, etc). I tend to like to piece (not foundation piece). I unfortunately cannot sew all day (even though I could). I need to take breaks to get up and move around. I either watch movies or listen to audiobooks or music while sewing. Every quilt should have at least one mistake in it. We, as quilters, know where those mistakes are. Just don't point it out to others.

With your scraps , would a school or community group take them?

1-2/3rds is perfect for this block - you don't get the same sense of movement without that addition. It's delightful seeing the bright sunny daylight flood your window when it's so cold here. The sun is actually shining & it will be blindingly brilliant on the snow, but decorative as far as warmth goes 😂
