Hi Mick. Just found this video trawling RUclips for help. I have a small kids car, battery powered. I have checked the motor. Runs ok. Have checked the battery, looks good, drives the motor fine if directly wired. So checked the wiring. All looks ok. Leaves me to wonder if its this board with all the soldering on. 😂😂. And here i am. Watching and trying to learn. I will try using my magnifyer to have a look. Not that i am anything near familiar with electronics, i work with wood. 😂😂 But it cant be that hard to fix. Not wanting to throw the car away i have dared my way into the world of electronics.

How do you put the actuator arm back on to the waste gate mines poped off all waste gate lever in tacked its just come off all the turbo and manifold still on engine in van and need to put back on with out stripping it all out

Superb, thank you. I have one fob that for my ‘96 XJ6 has stopped working and won’t light led’s even with new 2016 batteries. I have a ‘97 XJ6L parts car with two working fobs. I’m fairly certain the ‘96 is 315 freq and ‘97 is definitely 433 freq. I may try switching modules to be able to use the fobs on the ‘96. I wonder if they changed the plugs between years? Guess I’ll find out 😂

My problem is wife use it once every month . Or such. Even new Audi oem's stick after 2 mnd...

I am receiving error code P0299 in my 2020 1.6 Diesel Opel Insignia vehicle. I can't solve it. Turbo was overhauled, Particle filter was overhauled. Turbo hose changed. But the problem did not go away? Maf sensor and egr valve changed. Please can you help me

Mines done the same I dont suppose you remember the size bolt you used. Was it a hex head or did you use something with a smaller head

That's a great video - I had the same on my t5.1 nearside. I managed to access it without taking the scuttle off. The bolt was loose enough to tighten down about 3 turns by hand, before tightening up with a spanner. You've saved me a garage bill. Many Thanks.

Thank you Mick. Very useful information which has allowed me to easily get my friend's Vito lights working reliably again. For anyone wondering how to get the cladding off to reach the switch: First remove the lowest section of cladding on the central console (2 screws close together in each footwell). That reveals the bottom screws on the main gearstick cladding. To get at other screws (a) raise the flexible gear stick skirt (lift at front edge first) for 2 screws (b)Pull out the cup-holder drawer to access 1 screw top left. There are a couple of concealed slide-out clips down the sides of the panel too. I found pressing inward on these whilst wiggling the cladding out in a horizontal direction seemed to work. Turn the gear stick skirt vertical to allow the console cladding to lift off over the stick. You will need to pull off the plug connectors on the cigarette lighter if you want the cladding right out of the way. Good luck

Mick, did this solve the issue? I have a lot of oil in my intake and cooler pipes but it’s not throwing smoke so can I assume my turbo seals are ok?

My wastegate doesnt move at all. Its not seized though koz i can push it with my hand. What is my issue? Ive checked the pipes that i can see, they look fine. What can i check next? I can send vid if u give me an email or sumin

Had the same problem fixed in 10 seconds by pushing a 7mm speed nut on to the shaft 10pence fix for an annoying fault .

Hi great video... i lubed up the switch and my stuck roof now works from thenutton but it cannot complete the last part of bringing up the windows and the error light remains... any idea?

Nice one Mick, much appreciated. 2005 1.9dci here, new car to me, very clean but just working through some of the known problems like this for peace of mind. Mine was clean as a whistle, someone had already "been there" possibly as part of the claimed new turbo (no paperwork!😂) oil breather hoses were only snagged on with zip ties, probably not original Renault stuff! Cleaned filthy maf sensor too, fingers crossed, thanks again!👍

Got a Citroen C4 which failed on brake binding, and hand brake not working properly. Will look into this and then tighten up the cable, hopefully it sorts it out. Thanks.

i had the same problem knocking from the suspension t5 tightened the nut up on the top mount ,stopped knocking after that thanks

I had my suspension changed out 4k miles ago and now have a knock that got progressively worse gonna have a go at this as think my mechanic probably got distracted on the packet or talking shit to someone
