Dude! There is not many videos on this buggy! U need to make way more info vids!! Please! Just bought one 3 days ago! Build is awesome so far!
I definitely plan on it , Follow NoPro RC on Facebook as well for even more content, Thanks !!
Nice video, so how does it compare to the other big dogs
I absolutely love it , I feel so much more “in” the track than I have with previous manufacturers 2wd buggies. Follow NoPro RC on Facebook as well !! Thanks !!
Great job on the video! Don't you use a cooler / fan?
@@falcaoneto1 Thanks!!.. yes , sometimes, but it is in there now and I’m just leaving it in.
Thanks for the info man! Cant waitnto see it rippin
When is their four-wheel-drive model coming out?
Unfortunately I do not know an exact date/time frame at the moment … but it’ll be awesome!!
Awesome video by the way
Im glad the Manufacturers have stepped up. The racer gets a discount and the Manufacturer gets a Car, T shirt and or a Hat at the track. None of them are handing out deals to just anyone by the way.
How do I remove the shock retaining pins from my MBX8TR ECO truggy. With the shocks on (shocks mounted on truggy already) I try to pull the pin out with my fingers and even tried a butter knife and still can't remove the pin
@@raydonovan7988 there is a set screw on the bottom side of the arms that hold the pins in… remove those and they’ll slide right out.
@@noprorc9365 Many thanks. I will also put the shock boots over the shock ends like you because my custom Mugen came without boots
I’m definitely going to do this soon
Would you buy a msb1 or a rc10b7?
@@MX-CO I’ll admit I’m biased… but definitely the Mugen MSB1 !!
@noprorc9365 Thanks, I'm looking for something that can compare because everyone where I go has a B7
@@MX-CO oh it can easily compete with any 1/10 2wd on the market .. I’ve been busy with 1/8 scale but I’m super excited to get back out with the MSB1 very soon!!
I just put a zip tie from body to bumper
I need to get one soon and stop being so cheap!!! 😂 looked like a ton of fun at that last race!!!
We definitely had a blast !!
Great idea
Thank you sir!
Do you have a video on how to do this mod? Thank you

Tx for this video. You don't use shim 8x10x0,1 before install bearing like Adam Drake in his diff ?
I do not, I like to be able to adjust the shimming if needed without having to disassemble the diff.
@@noprorc9365 Tx for your response. It's exactly why I hesite do to this before the build !
@@noprorc9365 You use 1 shim in each side ?
@@sebastienr.5037 99% of the time I’m running a 0.2 on the gear side front and 0.3 on the gear side rear… I never run shims opposite of the gear side as it’s not necessary.. if you needed shims opposite the gear side that’s telling me the gear side is over shimmed and needs to be pushed back.. at that point the diff is shimmed to tight… so I just do the gear side keeping the mesh close but free.. then let the diff find its own sweet spot on power 👍🏽👍🏽
@@noprorc9365 thank you for this constructive response 🔥
I'd like to drink a beer with Iceberg.
thx for tips.
hello, do u wanna review POWEROWL batteries? If u r interested in it, plz let me know.
Where u racing in the north east.. we're in pa. Waiting for lcrc
Hey RCX!!.. in the Michigan/Ohio region for the most part.. we will be at the Mugen Challenge at LCRC!!
Smooth looking buggy and details👌 Setup looks a bit strange on the rear, carpet track?
Thank you!!… No carpet , that’s what I run on the indoor clay grooved track that I went to that weekend 👍🏽
good idea, looks good too. subbed
Thank you!!
Did you check your balance richt/left font/rear? I had to place 100gram next to the motor to make it 50/50
Hmm interesting, I have not played with the balance.
Awesome tips. Hope you did well at the track!
Thank you!!.. good day , TQ / Win 😊
Do you know if there is a difference between the SkyRC and Associated FT? They look the same.
I can’t say for sure but if I was a bet’n man , I’d say they are the same.
Damn didn't know that thanks! Just keep flames miles away while cleaning lol
Definitely!! 😬
I wish they came in larger sizes. The tires on my Sledge are almost 7” in diameter and the largest storage tube I’ve found is 6.5”.
so your 7k diff became thicker when the fluid was shot???
Yes, the 7k diffs were definitely a bit off before rebuilding them , the gears and shims broke in making the fluid “metallic” and also o-rings swelling will also do it.
I always use Break cleaner, basicly same result.
Lmao I was blowing mine out into a paper towel apparently I missed and got it on the floor everyone was wondering why it was so slippery 😂 note to self lighter fluid😅
Yeah buddy, my original Sanwa battery failed so I bought this Protek 5500 pack. But, I became frustrated with it for the very reason you talked about. It would never finish charging, or it would say it’s was 4.20v but as soon as I stopped the charge it would drop in voltage. 😡 I shelved it and went back to the Sanwa Lipo.
Hey D70!! Definitely get the Protek usb charger and enjoy!! 👍🏽
Thanks for sharing. Good to know information. I’m a bit confused on the reason to use this and what the benefits are? Is it to aid in repeatability when building diffs?
Yea I think it would aid in consistency once you learn the resistance average of your diffs and what cst you’re running.. so like if your 5k is normally 370 or so and the number is far off +\- you know there is an issue. But I think the biggest advantage will be 10th scale with ball diffs!!.. being able to track performance and what setting you like so it can be replicated after rebuilds will be great!! Thanks D70 !!!
I'm glad you checked this out.. was wondering how accurate it would be. When your at Peach State can you do a before and after test? I'm curious to see just how much the dif fluid will wear in one race event.
Definitely seems to be on point!!.. Yup I sure can! .. I’ll be interested to see myself, Thanks !
Sweet video dude, seems like a decent little tool for us to nerd out on🤘🏻.. that shirt though🔥💪🏻
Hey Charles!!.. yup I think it’ll come in handy.. especially with 10th scale and ball diffs!! Thank you!! I may get some hoodies to !! 😃👍🏽
Ive noticed after racing dirt gets it the gearbox by the outdrives, is there anyway of sealing up the gap.. like a type of sponge or thick grease? To keep the diff bearings running smooth for longer...
Actually there shouldn’t be any gaps where the outdrive is exiting the gear box .. if you notice a build up of dirt on the bearings face (facing outward) it’s do to excessive grease or oil .. just try to keep that area clean so dirt doesn’t stick. If there is dirt getting into the gear box itself, a bead of black grease between the chassis and the actual gearbox will help.
I use that Lucas gun oil it works really good librarians never had no
❤
Still thinking to get it or not.. 😂
Definitely comes in handy!!
@@noprorc9365 ya no need to wait for ages on normal charger.. 😁 ISDT-FD200 is cheaper.. I run mod on 2wd buggy..
Great video! Was thinking about doing a similar one but I'm just gonna share yours for now 😂
Hey Gainsrc !! Thank you!!
Thanks for doing these vids. Always enjoy learning tips from NoPro. When do you choose to glue or not glue your foams?
Hey D70!!… it’s more so for high speed low grip conditions where you are forced to run a softer compound to get grip but need to reduce the “ballooning or walky” feeling of the softer tires. I really haven’t used it much for buggy , but with the giant tires on Truggy it adds a bit of stability when having to run soft tires 👍🏽👍🏽
Nice! Between the hat and all the great tips you might be having to change that name soon😉🤘🏻
Thanks Charles!!.. I dunno, I’m to old , glory days are behind me!! LOL
Nice job
Thanks D70 !!
Good stuff dudes!. This is R/C to me, couple buddy’s cutting it up keeping our hands busy building cars🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
Definitely!!… a bit long for a video , but more fun!! Thanks Charles !!!👍🏽🚀🏁
Can you do this with the Mugen truggy? The parts list don't show the option for an underdrive gear, like it does with the buggy. I don't know if this is like with automotive ring and pinions in which I can't just mate a truggy's 10t pinion with a buggy 44t conical gear to create an underdriven rear.
Jeez , sorry Ron!! I didn’t realize I had a question pending!! No , or at least not that I’ve seen , I think it may be tough to find a ratio that mates up properly and works/runs as it should.
@@noprorc9365 No problem! Just glad for the content and info.
Cars always look so good dude!, I’m finally getting around to trying this, did you re-solder?, or just flip the ESC?
Hey Charles!!… I had ran the esc in the same orientation, just slid it forward so I didn’t need to re-solder 👍🏽👍🏽
Thanks for the tips! 🏎🏎 Just curious if you find aftermarket bodies or the stock precut Mugen body to be more durable. Finally, how do you cut such a perfect circle in the tape for the body mount hole? It'd be nice to have something like a tire punch, but bigger.
Hey Ron, I run the Jcon and the stock Mugen , I have found that both are very durable. As for the hole I use an xacto knife with a new blade, just zip it around on the edge of the lexan and good to go!!
Where can I get something like this?
I’ve seen some out there but nothing from any “main stream” manufacturers… also I wasn’t to fond of their design so I went ahead and made my own… sorry the reply took so long!!
Why do you don't use a USB cable for power ? So u don't need to use batteries.
Man, everything you do is top notch. Looks like a great light and even the base you made is sick! Really dig it.
Thanks D70!!! I appreciate the kind words!!!
I know I’m a yr late on this but how did everything go using them. Did it stay in position till tires were worn out,did anything move?
Hey Mike, sorry reply took so long!!.. it all went very well, they did stay in place for the life of the tire , after each run I’d actually rev it to check how much the tires would expand , making sure they stayed consistent and one or more didn’t balloon more than another , all stayed tight !!
@@noprorc9365 thanks…..my next project
NoProb !!!…. Anytime!!.. except I’ll be sure to answer much sooner 😬👍🏽
Bro some times a screw backs out... some times you only got a buttonhead on ya to get by 😆
Robyn , very true!! 😬😬
Im assuming you cycle your lipos for stock racing....Have you ever noticed the difference between just charging at a high amp alone vs high amp charge/discharge cycling? In other words, does simply high amp charging have a positive effect?
Nerun , sorry it took so long to reply!!…. I would say that simply charging at a high amp rate would make a small bit of a difference, but starting with a pack that has been discharged would be much more impactful and give you that punchy feel much longer in the run and reduce IR by a lot more.
@@noprorc9365 thanks for the response 🤙🏽
@@noprorc9365 Ive been experimenting with a lipo warmer bag and it brings the IR down a noticeable amount without the high discharge. I know some races theyre "illegal" but I think its likely just as effective and not as bad for the lipo
Yup!!!!…. I’ve been kicking around getting a warmer myself!!
@@noprorc9365 Got one from Donathen rc. It’s def effective but feels slightly cheating since its roar illegal but thats just dumb anyways….
