Your videos are great. However, this time I disagree and would say that I would never remove the pinion. To avoid these problems and still check the drive train, I always remove the center differential. That's six bolts on mine. If there is enough time, I remove all wheel bearings, clean them and oil them. To clean the bearings, I use lacquer thinner (recycled nitro thinner). This is quick, but the wash thinner evaporates very slowly. So blow out the bearings.
