Great video. Thanks. I would prefer without the music.
Is it normal for the end to have a little spark? One of mine has a small spark by the white part I don’t know if it is a concern or not
Hi, No, a small spark or possibly a hot spot is not normal in a Ceramic Infrared Tube. This could reflect a issue with the filament inside the tube, either bunching of the coil or higher resistance due to corrosion. I would hope that the issue would only cause the tube to fail and nothing further, but keep a careful eye on it, and consider changing as soon as possible. send any photos if you would like further assistance. service@customsaunas.com.au
@ is there an email I can send to or where do I send a picture or video
Hi Great channel!! My units 3 back elements work but the two vertical front elements each side of the door do not. No voltage at top block of each side. What does that likely mean?
Hi great video I have heat in 4 panels ut not in 3 on the same side ut I do have power on that side a y thoughts that is in advance Bill
Can this be connected to a smart switch? Going outside to turn on/warm up the sauna really stunts my use
Is it possible to repair the element
Hi Thomas, No, unfortunately, it is not possible to repair the filament inside the tube
Well I took it apart and all that was in it was ain’t spring of thin wire which was connected to both ends of the tube. One end of the wire had broken about 10mm from the end so I stretched it to the end and reconnected it to the end of the tube and put it back in the sauna and now it is working perfectly again .🙏👍
We have determined we have two bad ceramic heating elements but we can't seem to find the right size. 660mm 300w/120v and 600 300w/12v (especially the 660mm) any recommendations?
thanks mate ! a great help
What's stopping someone from just wiring each heater in parallel, to say a Timer light switch with no control board at all? I realize the fire hazard but, with auto off on the timer, as long as you don't run it at full voltage too long it seems probably okay?
Do you know how to check if infrared heater if its? or just normal heater with normal heating element?
Hi Jeff, normally I'd be able to tell by simply looking at the heaters. Can you send some photos? Service@customsaunas.com.au
Where do you buy the master controller keypad?
Hi Daniel, we do have a few of the controllers. Do you have the exact same control system? Feel free to send details to service@customsaunas.com.au
One set of ceramic heaters don’t work. Must be a series circuit. Testing proved that it wasn’t the fuses. That’s unfortunate since the sauna came with 2 extra fuses, and that would have been easy. I guess I should go through the testing you have instructed in this video, before I test the elements. Your 240 reference likely doesn’t refer to Canada?
Hi, yes, using the same method but testing for 110-120v. I think it'll be the relay in the ceiling or the tube wiring.
If you need further assistance please contact us via Infraredsaunarepairs.com.au
Hi I have some questions about my sauna. What is EP code?
The EP code is a missing or failed Thermostat Probe. Can you send a couple of photos of the unit, including the controller? Service@customsaunas.com.au
Hey! I just received this one. Where is the control panel and all the wires at? I have multiple wires sticking out and have no idea how to install this
Hey thanks for this video, I have this issue and my one looks identical to your sauna. Where do you get the tubes from? All other heaters work but the two in this video
I have an infrared sauna that fails to start when pushing the power button. The outlet has power, no breakers tripped. My guess is perhaps the fuse needs replacement. I do not have the owner's guide, nor do I recall the brand of the sauna. Sucks to be me, I know. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Awesome video!! Thank you for the help. I’m attempting to narrow down the issue of my sauna, but not success. My sauna has started to turn itself off and randomly “beep” as if I am pressing the buttons, it even lights up the buttons as I am. Sometimes the buttons don’t work as well. Let me know your thoughts. Thank you so much!
You're welcome, are you able to send a few photos? I might recognise the control panel and know if some common faults. The first thing that comes to mind is that when the switching powersupply is failing you can have symptoms like this. Email any photos to service@customsaunas.com.au
How can I tell if the tubes in our sauna are far , near or ceramic infrared ? Thanks I'm in uk
Hi Lynda, if they look like the tubes in this video then they're FAR. Feel free to send a few photos to me and I will confirm. Service@customsaunas.com.au Allan
My sauna get up to 107° and then starts cooling off. I have it set on 140° I need to fix it. Any ideas?
I'm so happy to find this video. My sauna works fine but blows the circuit breaker when the timer ends. Do you have any suggestions? Thanks. It's a health mate 2001
Hi Irene, I am glad you found it! I'm familiar with the Make, are you able to send a few photos and reach out via email, I would like to run through a few tests with you before I give you any suggestions. Service@customsaunas.com.au Allan
Can you put carbon heaters in a traditional sauna ?
Hi Matt, you can install them in a traditional sauna, however they wont work very well simultaneously. The carbon heaters are limited to 100c by a temp limiting overload on the back, and with the traditional heater running creating a humid air temp reaching close to 90c the heater will heat very quickly and switch on and off frequently. If you are looking to add infrared heat into a traditional sauna, I recommend using a Quartz Halogen 'Full Spectrum'. If you have more specific questions, please feel free to email me, service@customsaunas.com.au
Thanks and nice to see good quality tools Milwaukee 👌
WILL THIS WORK FOR A jnh SAUNA?
Hi, thanks for your message. There are a couple of generations of JNH control systems, can you please send a few photos of yours, including the box in the ceiling to Service@customsaunas.com.au, I'll take a look, Allan
Anyway I can ask a question about mine? Just moved into a new house and not sure how to get it working.
Hi, I will discuss with you via email, service@customsaunas.com.au
Hi Great video. I have exactly what you said. I have 240 volts on one side but nothing on the 12 volt side. Do you know where I can get parts as I live in the UK
Hi John, we can ship to you in the UK, or you can get them from a local electronics supplier. The important information is the 'output' voltage, most commonly it is only 12vdc, but very occasionally it is both 12vdc and 5vdc. feel free to send a photo of yours. Part: 12vdc 60w 5a Switching Power supply Allan Burns - Service@customsaunas.com.au
what is the brand of heater? can you post a link to a website?
Why the temperature back tu 34 celcius
Once you have selected the temperature you would like the sauna to reach it will again display the current room temperature
My controller is power off, the cale is eaten by the mouse. I have no found fuse because i think this is short circuit. How to repair? my sauna is made in Korean. can you give solution?
Cale = cable
Hi, are you able to send me some photos? Service@customsaunas.com.au
I will take a look and give you further advice
Hi Jenn, it sounds like the coating on the heaters has begun to break down and melt. I would turn off immediately and seek help from a local appliance repair person. Can you send some photos to my email, I'll take a look and get back to you Service@customsaunas.com.au
Could you tell me why the back panel of my infrared sauna smells like burning rubber when I turn it on? I have a B200 series Saunatec
Thanks for a very useful vid. Could you explain (do vid) the electrics outside the sauna please?!
You do a great job explaining all the components. May I ask, I have an Infrared Sauna that just won't heat up. If I turn it on and off a bunch of times once in a while it will. Seems odd. Everything else works, all the lighting, controls, bluetooth sounds. Do you have any idea what could be the cause? I don't have any techs near me to help with this.
Hi, It sounds like an issue with the relay, are you able to send a few photos of your unit? Service@customsaunas.com.au Allan
If only one half of your sauna is fully heating up, would you recommend this repair?
Hi, I would first check the control system, it sounds like one of the relays might have failed. There is a control box in the ceiling, having an electrician check these outputs you can check if one relay no longer switches on. there is also a second video on the channel that shows this process on a unit with a single relay
just the worst
Is there a trick to getting the sound on? My FM turns on but I get no sound even after turning sound up.
Is it still okay to use my infrared sauna if there is tiny hole in one of the carbon panels? The sauna still works, but wondering if it needs some type of repair, or is is a fire hazard? Thanks.
Hi, No please disconnect immediately. If the hole is in the heating elements are of the carbon panel it will react with the atmosphere and grow larger to it combusts. Please send photos to Service@customsaunas.com.au I'll take a look and get back to you Allan Burns

My control panels wires came out and I don’t know the order to rewrite them.
Hi Brandy, can you please send me a few photos of the control system and the wiring, I might have seen it and have a wiring diagram. Send to service@customsaunas.com.au Allan
If the colour of the tube is black and there is no damage, at least not visible from outside. The wiring seems also to be okay. does this mean that the tube could be broken internally? What is the standard colour of the tube? Thanks again
Hi Naam, Thanks, you're very welcome. The tube colour can be black or white, though I prefer black. Yes the filament inside the tube can be corroded and break inside the tube. The best way to test would be if the tube were removed and a resistance test performed if you get an open circuit, then the tube is dead. If you have any follow up questions feel free to email service@customsaunas.com.au Regards Allan
Great video thanks.
Hi, My sauna cuts off the FIR panels at 140f. Problem is 140 is not enough temp for me to sweat without the radiant FIR. In a regular sauna I like 175-180f so I can sweat. So in my FIR sauna I am sitting there with the FIR turned off at 140f while I wait to sweat. Is there a way I can raise the cutoff of the FIR panels say at 160f? or whatever temp I choose? Thanks!
Hi, the fact that your FIR heaters are turning off while you are tying to sweat is a problem for the Infrared style of heat. These are best designed when the unit is able to be set to 149f but never reaches that temp as the heaters are designed to achieve around ~140f and stay on throughout the duration of your session. This way the infrared light is always working to heat your body and create a great sweat. Reach out via email, I might have some ideas that could help your situation. Service@customsaunas.com.au

I found this video excellent for getting the bulbs out .. my problem now is finding out where I can get replacement bulbs in New Zealand, or can I order overseas? 350w 230v 1 x 500L; 4 x 600L
Hi Liz, I am glad you found the video useful. Please feel free to email me and I will send you a specification sheet for the tubes we have, these may fit out alternatively we could custom make then. We can certainly ship to NZ. Allan Service@customsaunas.com.au

How do you know what wattage to get? My tube is 600mm and my sauna runs off of 220v. I found 600mm 200w 220v & 600mm 300w 220v.
Hi Jeff, have you got the ability to check one of the existing tubes that are still working? You can perform a resistance test to determine the wattage. Feel free to email for more info. Service@customsaunas.com.au

My unit is brand new but reset pops after 2 min of being plugged in I moved it 3x in my house please help
Hi Eric, thanks for the question, I've just replied via your email, Allan
Love your style of explaining troubleshooting…my issues is the 3 rear ceramic tubes are not working consistently and the 2 front ones work fine. I checked continuity on the fuses and relays. Is this partial functionality a common issue? Thx
Hi, this can be an issue with the relay in the box in the ceiling. Alternatively you could have just got unlucky and have three failed tubes. Can you send some photos of your unit to my email, I'll take a look and get back to you. Service@customsaunas.com.au Allan
I’m considering buying a used HighTech Health sauna but the power flickers when the temperature gets to about 122-125 degrees. Any ideas? Should I not buy it?
My infrared sauna is only using one heater to heat up then after 30-40 minutes or so the 2 back heaters turn on (not all the time) but two others never do. So sometimes my sauna will heat all the way up with added time and other times it just stays at 39 Celsius. Not sure what would cause the heaters to not turn on but sometimes only some do turn on while one it seems to be the soul constant working one. Any ideas? It’s a 2 person sunhealth
Can you send me a few photos of your unit? Heaters and the wall controller. Could be a few things, I'll let you know what I think once I see them. Please email them to Service@customsaunas.com.au Allan Burns
