That's gonna stink the car out when that exaust get hot surly 🤔
everytime i press M turns off it turns off? i want to switch from level to autu? i press m and it
I have a Vevor 8KW and when starting I can faintly smell exhaust gases from the warm air outlet, then it stops. Is this normal?
Where do you get the app?
Thankyou soooo much
Most welcome 😊
Good job !
Thanks!
Do you know if there’s a way I can set the temp to 25c, but the heater only starts when the temp fall down to 15c? Because the default margin is too narrow, it will start at 23c and stop at 25c. It wastes too much battery doing so
That kind of setting is not programable from the consumer side
I stumbled upon your account completely by accident, but as an Alaskan, I appreciate you sharing your lifestyle and daily experiences. I don’t know why, but I find your videos captivating. Maybe it’s just cool to see how small the world is, and how similar we all are. Greetings from the united state of west Canada 😂
Is the temperature gauge in the Bluetooth display? and is it possible to extend the cable to the Bluetooth display. I would like to get the display into the boat. and thus also measure the correct temperature if the temperature gauge is in the display
Thanks. This is the only vid I found that goes through all the options on the 4 button controller!
Awesome! Glad it helped
I can't figure out how to adjust the altitude? I'm at 7000ft and the altitude reads 0.
My understanding is that is supposed to be automatically done. I don’t believe there is a way to adjust that setting.
@@Moes_Adventures okay, cool. Thank you. I've just watched a whole lot of reviews saying that the settings are off for higher altitudes.
Yea it definitely seems like a few things are off, out of the box. Luckily we have a good resource of RUclips 😁
@@Moes_Adventures right. But nobody has referenced how to turn on the elevation mode with this style controller.
Priming mode works as follows. The heater will only prime when it's first powered on. I.e 12v supply to the heater BUT NOT POWERED ON VIA THE CONTROLLER. I.e turn on the power to the heater but don't touch anything. Then press and hold the down arrow button for 7 seconds
I think the pump in the 8 kw has a higher pulse operation than the one supplied with the smaller units.
Can this controller be used on the older Vevor units?
I have never tried that. They all work off the same basic principle so im sure its possible. But if the wiring doesn’t match up, the controller probably wouldn’t communicate properly with the ecb
Ever try 2 heaters with 1 controller?
No i haven’t. I don’t think it would work
Hi. Great stuff. I just bought this heating system. Everything works fine but is there a way to release the fan and fuel pump? On warmer days it heats too much... All suggestions welcome. Best regards
Awesome install. I did similar in my car, but I put my heater where you put your fuel tank and used my cars diesel tank. Next car is going to be a gas one, i guess I'll test if it runs on gas (im thinking a fuel damper and a petrol rated pump might work), if not ill find a spot for diesel. Its so good during winter mornings walking to a hot defrosted car. Or I could get an Webasto hydronic, but it's minimum 500+ for an used kit and then still id have to make up something to turn on the climate fan (ipcu relay, expensive though). Also need to set climate on max temp. A diesel heater uses much less electricity than a heater+pump+blower also, meaning short city runs would be ok on a small car battery. If you want long range control you can get a GSM or 4G gate opener relay box thingy (was 15$ for me on AliExpress) and solder two wires to the power on button. A quick shortcut to a text message and off it goes. Wonder if it would be smart to plumb the heating air intake outside, for better air quality.
I am unsure if using gasoline will work or not. I suspect not. It is definitely nice in the winter months!! Especially if a guy does some car camping.
How can anyone work in such a disorganised enviroment , wires and pipes trailing everywhere .
Yea i frequently get tangled up in piss jugs and extension cords
Thank you so much! It was very helpful to understand my new diesel heater!
Glad it helped!
I have just bought heater with this set up , I just turned on for first run this afternoon , They really should just get someone in the West who writes manuals to do it for them and save us lots of time , I never did the fuel priming , just pressed start and away it went after priming itself , but I did not realise it had bluetooth until watched your vid , And thank you very much , just ordered a UPS transformer so it can run from mains and have a little back up battery if power cut , it will keep machine running but not start it , but that does not matter .
All of mine work great. I had that one issue with it backfiring/ smoking. If you prime them too much they will backfire. Or if its getting too much fuel for some reason it will also smoke and backfire. Thanks for watching!
grateful thanks
You’re welcome
Merci beaucoup pour cette vidéo indispensable 😃
You’re welcome
Awesome job! With any custom job there are always shoulda woulda coulda. But the point is is the job done, is it reasonably safe, is it going to perform as intended. This meets all of those. It’s also a good idea to have that vent blowing towards the front like you mentioned. Also if you ever do happen to car camp if that’s your style and your sleeping in the back. It won’t be blowing on you while you try to snooze. Good thinking! Keep up the good videos and the great work!
Thank you very much. It has worked exceptionally well throughout the winter when I used it. Ill be testing it with kerosene this winter when it gets to extreme temperatures again.
@@Moes_Adventures You know that would be an interesting video. Seeing what types of fuel and or mixture you can get this thing to burn, old used cooking oil (filtered of course). Any old engine oil. Ect ect. Whatever you can’t find or make for cheap would be pretty cool.
@@Notsoshadyacres. yes I will try that for sure. I have seen a few other videos where people have tried something like this with little success. I suspect the mixture needs to be different. So I am planning a little denial and error session to see what I can come up with 😁
@@Moes_Adventures haha that’s awesome, I look forward to some more content!
Ive used the green hose for 6 years now...... Zero issues 😎
Thats good. I haven’t had any issues with mine yet but have only used them for the past year or so
Nice video....... Challenging install definitely. Good job. 😎👍👍
Yes it was. This was last December, it worked great all winter except for -40°C temperatures the diesel has a hard time igniting.
Have you tried using kerosene in the winter extreme temps. Lighter fuel, easier to ignite. Just a thought 😎👍@@Moes_Adventures
@@dogdazetravellergarrett1367 I have not yet tried that but I have wanted too. This winter I will definitely try that out😁 thanks for watching!
Nice video....... Nice features for diesel heaters. I'm probably going to get one from Vevor after seeing this.😎👍👍
That’s awesome and good to hear. You will be happy with it. For the price of it and cost to operate, you can’t go wrong 👍
Good video..... Thanks 👍
Welcome 👍
Thanks for the helpful video. Walking through the settings helped me make sense of the cryptic manual. I also could not get the prime function to work, but even with pumping slightly uphill, it all worked fine after the second cycle
Glad it helped! The prime had to be the very first thing you do when first hooking up the power. Hold the down button until it starts counting down from 300. If you need a second prime cycle. Just unplug the display and plug back in again and it will reset.
Thank you so much I was going mad working by the manual
No problem 👍
I hate to be the one that points out the obvious but you have mounted the head unit directly above the exhaust pipe, given the heat output of the exhaust, the head unit can’t get an accurate room temp, hence the big jump from your other temp gauge. Also having your exhaust pipe in a u shape is restricting its ability to discharge condensation. Hope this helps 👍
Yea that head unit could have been in a better spot for sure and the exhaust i just pointed up to film the smoke. I took all that pipe off of it afterwards
I just got one and the up and down symbols were corrected, but your video still helped a bunch. Thanks.
You’re welcome! Glad it helped. Nice to see they updated the manual !
They sent me a replacement panel, the original was faulty. How do I pair the remote with the new panel?
This i am unsure of
I strongly urge everyone to avoid this company Vevore at all cost, their after sales service is shocking and you will never see a refund. I have been trying to get a refund for the last 12 days. I get promised that I will have it that day and nothing happens , then when you contact them again, they say 1-3 days, when that time is up they say 1-3 days again and again. they are crooks and a waste of human space on this world.
Thanks for the video, can you tell me if you can set up a timer so it will kick in before I get up out of the bed ?
I haven’t played around with the schedule unfortunately.
Thank you very much brilliant explanation the manual supplied is definitely in need of a rewrite in real English common sense? I will write my own now this your simple detailed explanation of how to use. Thanks again 👍
Glad it helped!
Absolutely brilliant video. Very helpful and saved. Thanks so much.
Glad it helped!
Thanks, I've just ordered one, waiting for the delivery, so it'll be interesting! Cheers from Oz!
Hope you enjoy it!
Lmao, dude quit 😂
😂
Could anyone give me the measurements of this controller please?
2”x4”
To get prime to work you have to disconnect the power to the unit first. Only works on first startup. Took me a while to work it too. Be careful if it runs the full 300seconds it floods, I had fuel coming out of the motors air intake. Good video 👍
Great video. Thanks! Is the clicking noise we hear in the video constant?
hey mate , nice vid, the primer function only works on first power on. if you need to do it again you need to pull the fuse to do a repower up.
Thanks! I finally figured that out after making the video lol
Hi to prime leave it in the off mode hold the button 7s and it will prime
Best vid on this subject I have found. Manual is ajoke, and priming did not work for me either. Anyone know what the coloured lighr bar strip is about? Can't find a reference to it anywhere.
great video very helpful.I dont know how to turn off speaker ,have tried switch in iphone app but does nothing Cheers
Cancel that just found a video on how to silence it ruclips.net/video/sSBw8j1epdA/видео.html thanks again
its possible to control via zigbee or Tuya over a lte router ? i want to control my RV from home.
I am unsure of this.
does this heater have an ambient thermostat? I use a similar model but it didn't stop at all even though the temperature was high inside... I also brought the display closer to the heat source for 1-2 minutes but the heater continued to run without stopping. I tried manually on the lowest gear with no result
If is a different model than this one it will not turn off automatically. Only this specific model has that function.
Hi, did you figure out how to prime it? I'm looking at my manual and seeing that you use the rocker switch but I can't seem to locate it
Unplug the power and plug it back in. Then immediately press and hold the down button until it starts to prime. Takes about 7 seconds. Do not Press any other buttons before pressing the down button. Hope this helps😁
@@Moes_Adventures Oh wow! It took me almost a year to find this Information 😅🤣 Bought it last winter and needed to change the gasoline hose today since we all know it's not a proper gasoline hose... 😅 Thanks a lot. You are my hero of the day! To be honest the electric cables are really bad too. Too thin. I will change that whole thing ASAP. I believe it will go to the trash like my broken down car 👀🤣 (repayment of the car is not worth it)
Thank you so clear this is the best video I can find about those heaters like
The 2kw heater is more costly, and the new controller mounted, should be available for the large type heater. Hopefully the 2 kw heater goes into full output, during the time it on. The larger heater should not be run under #3 to prevent sooting. Performance will be based on how well your space is insulated, and size.
