I really need help. My little fuzzbutt, my little Sultan of Stink, just WONT stop biting. Need help!
You could try introducing a "naughty box". Have a pet carrier nearby and when he bites you put him in the carrier alone for 5mins and then take him out. It's not a quick fix but they can learn over time that biting means put in the boring box.
How long it takes for them to break out
I had a ferret once, and she mostly just made dooking sounds and happy pants, but one time, she was being pestered by a dog and she screamed like a child, it shook me, because I didn't even know ferrets could scream like that. ferrets are very interesting creatures, that's for sure, they're just quirked up little fuzzy noodle dudes and dudettes lol.

would this include human clothes and bedding? me and my bf are preparing to get a ferret we wouldnt have such a huge outdoor enclosure like you do to start off with so theyd be indoors. would we have to do the same with our bedding, clothes and other fabrics or is it only what the ferret will use?
No, your own bedding is fine to use whatever you want. It's just the bedding that the ferrets use.

Where do you keep all the kits? Can you put them with the adults, or will they bite them?
All the kits live with mum in the separate nursery until they are sold at 10 weeks. Any kits we keep then move into the main enclosure with mum and the other adults and go through integration training with the other adults.

We use carefresh pet bedding, but you can use hay if prefer. Basically nothing with folds like blankets as the babies can get lost or stuck in the folds.

Miemie, my rehome jill, gave birth to 9 kits yesterday morning 🫣🫣💖💖what an experience it was😍😍😍never known how small they really are. My mom said they look like little shrimps 🍤 😂😂

No dyes. No perfumes. Free Clear. Do like to use a small amount of white vinegar as fabric softener. Wish our neighbor would do the same. Machine vents straight out to our deck. When they do laundry the perfume smell is nauseating.

My jill is not neutered I let her mated after only 7 days after her vulva start swelling is it too soon? They mated for 4 days in a row in the same enclosure I followed the video they mated day n night I have it on a video I separate them after day 4. My jill had babies before but I am not her owner when she had babies I got her so my hob can have a friend. I would like to know your thoughts cheers friend…
7 days after swelling should be fine for pairing. No sooner though. It's strange then. Did she reduce swelling after pairing? Sometimes it just doesn't work, but more usually it does and you get reduced swelling within a week. It can then end up being phantom pregnancy, but even that has same reduced swelling after a week.

Hello I have questions for anyone with ferret breeding experience, so I observed my ferret have mated twice this year, they keep mating for 4 days when I observed them. But until now the mating hasn’t been successful by means the jill didn’t get pregnant is it actually not that common for ferrets to have a successful mating? Thank you…
It should be common to get pregnant. Do you know for sure that your jill is not neutered, and do you know that she was fully in season? The male in season will mate with the female if he is left access to her even if she is not ready. Whay happened after the 4 days of pairing? I assume you removed the male to prevent stress and damage to the female. Did she start to come out of season, or did she stay full in season after 10days?
@@kingsdownferrets8485 my jill is not neutered, at the time she’s is season her vulva is swelling but I only let her mate with the Male after only 7 days when her vulva start swelling. I observed they mated 4 days in a row the mated hours & hours in the afternoon and the evening I didn’t separate them for 4 days. Am I too soon to let them mate should it be more than 7 days after her vulva starts to swell?. She already mated and have babies before but I am not her owner at the time, I got her so my Hob have a friend and also potential mate.

I had Tas and Riki growing up. Got them at 8 weeks and my cat took to them. You always had to find where their stash was, because ferrets steal stuff and hoard it. You'll think you're senile, then remember you have ferrets and go check their stash. Do not take all of the stash at one time because now you have to hunt for a new stash. Keys, wallets, underwear, coins, hair ties, pens, you name it; they're like rat dragons, they hoard stuff.

Bonjour, toujours de bonnes vidéos et j'aimerai vous poser une question à propos de mon furet âgé de sept ans et demi : depuis quelque temps quand il défèque il couine, diarrhée par moment, j'ai essayé de lui donner un peu de charbon actif dans son eau ça le calme mais ça recommence. Il est nourri aux pilons de poulet et mange un peu de brioche le matin (je sais ce n'est pas bon pour lui). Il est joueur, sort un peu dehors, dort un peu plus, mange normalement et boit un peu d'eau beaucoup moins qu'avant Avez vous rencontré ce problème avec un de vos furets? Merci! Carole
Hi, sorry to hear about your ferret. What you describe could be a large number of things. Its difficult to be able to diagnose and I'm not a vet. Doing everything "less", like less activity, less eating/drinking are signs that something is up. Painful defecation can be signs of gastro disease, IBD, dyschezia and mematochezia, blockages even. Probably going to have to go to vet for assessment. You really ought to start by cutting out the brioche though. I assume that he eats other things than just chicken legs? Wont get enough vitamin A or E for example which could lead to the illness he might have. Good luck! Hope he gets better soon!

Il mange normalement A part du poulet, j'ai essayé de lui donner du vit'i 5 minéraux et vitamines qu'il déteste je suis obligée de cacher dans de la peau de poulet. Peut être comme vous le dites il faut aller voir le vétérinaire J'avais consulté en avril pour ce qui semblait être une gastro entérite qui avait guérie. Merci de tout coeur !
