I bet it only works when wirings are energized. If the case was to determine where "metallic object are", I would build a Metal Detector (with a Copper Loop). Useful, though!

I understanding that the priciple of working îs The same with buck converter. You May need also a output choke. I thaught about building a mig using a Arduino to control the voltage and the wire feeder motor via a H bridge with brake function to control the speed of the wire also mantaining the desaired voltage. The Arduino would regulate The voltage by changing The duty cycle of IGBTs and the speed of the wire feeder. What do you think?

Why even add diodes? Why the resin? The high voltage makes it a/c current, is the diode just making it a powerful one way gate? What values were those diodes?

У меня с одного транзистора по обычной схеме блокинга светится в разы ярче даже от 0.6-7 вольт. Такчто нет смысла паять мудрёную схему.Но есть смысл брать сверхнизковольтные полевики в миниатюрных корпусах. Есть экземпляры открывающиеся от 0.2 вольт.

Big positive checkmark for you, i also used to do and have one of the amplifier like this, except one 40watt 16R resistor and with a BJT transistor, it was actually good, it was on 40Volt and 1.48A load, it have multiple transistors, it gave out like 9volts on 8ohm load and it was 10watts "P=UxU/R=2,24Vx2,24V/4Ohm=1,25W" I would say that the curve is ok till 2.06volts, so its: (2.06x2.06)/4 which is 1.06Watts. but for 10%thd im sure it can do the 1.25Watts. :)))
