FYI Edge Lighting is available on all Samsung S Series phones, to this day. You just need to use brief popup notifications. I turn it on when I setup any Samsung S Series. It was on the Note right through the Note 20/20 Ultra, tgen jumped to S series. Just open settings, and search for Edge Lighting.

I just wanted to add that the marketing material was referring to what the height of that specific military spec drop test is. This test involves the product being dropped from 4 feet, 26 times onto 2 inches of plywood over concrete. It says military drop spec tested “at” 4 feet. Essentially they weren’t marketing the true potential max height of drop protection, they were stating what the height of a military spec drop test is. Any other numbers could be from their own personal testing.

This phone doesn't compete w the phones you mentioned. It's a direct competitor to the Galaxy A55. Also, it's the first edge since the 2020 edge plus that's worth buying IMO for the current sale price (even then it's a downgrade in some respects). You can buy an Anker 100w charger or so that works for like $30-50

I just bought one told hold me over as my OnePlus 12 screen gets replaced. I took a fall and so did my phone. I'm a high end phone guy and always have been. But to be honest I'm loving this little thing. It plays all my games fine, text and phone is great. Sure it doesn't take perfect photos like my 12 does but Im not expecting it to either. That said what it does do with a different camera app is pretty darn good to frank. The other thing that shocked me this thing charges just as fast as my OnePlus. Which actually insane. I have a 280watt charger so im never down 👇 on ports or charge power but this was very unexpected... I paid 307 for with tax. What I got for that money is really nice phone and a great curved screen which I prefer.. Few days from now I will be putting my newer nano coating on the screen and that will be it. I normally use my Nexus 5 as a backup "don't laugh its a great programming project ROM phone" but with 2g calling gone on alote of towers now I can't keep a call going from tower to tower where I live. Most it has been upgraged with 5g wideband. Anyway just thought I would comment since I use high end phones and someone might want to know what someone like me thinks of this little beast. I know it's a phone case that is really a niche and if you work on a construction site or something, yeah it's not going to be enough 😅 but for me (software engineer, mostly working indoors in carpeted offices) it protects the phone enough and it just looks amazing. Just use a screen protector with it as well and your phone will probably survive 95% of the drops unblemished. Ow and with my previous phone I accomplished to break the backglass even with a normal case (the standard Apple transparant case). So even then it's not 100% guarantee that your phone survives all drops unscathed.

At the risk of sounding completely stupid (!!!), this is "too much" protection. IMO. I worked at McCaw Cellular Communications (back in the day--around ... O ... 1995 or so) and in the ensuing 30 years I've had a phone or two. LOL In all that time, I've only dropped a phone maybe 2 or 3 times. Sooooo, about once every 10 years. Granted, I don't buy $10,000 cellular phones. And I'm "older," and probably more careful than folks far younger than I. But, you know--there's a natural limit to the amount of caution we should exercise in life. If you NEVER cross the street again, in the rest of your life, you'll never get hit by a bus while crossing the street. You get my point. In short, the Unicorn looks like a tank.(But I appreciate the review!!!)

They downgraded nearly everything but most noticeably is the rubber material, it's now hard and non pliable. These cases aren't what they were just two years ago, far from it.

And the camera is 4K, unlike almost all other cheaper Moto phones... image stabilization... plus I think he reviewed the 128MB one with 6BG RAM...

"vegan leather" was a terrible name for what it is. Its NOT leather, its not for VEGANS.. NOBODY OFFERS a REAL leather option, so its stupid. Insults vegans and non-vegans alike. Just gonna get a CASE anyway.. its plastic.

Hi, so I came across your review of this case and noticed they have another variant similar to this one with a camera control button, but no camera cover thing on the top. Do you think that’s better than this one? it also has a kickstand. It is called the UB Grip. If you have a review on that for iPhone I can’t find it. But was just wondering your opinion!

Great content. I have both cases for my s24 ultra. And I have to say. The mag xt is so much better than the I-blasson armor box. For two reasons. 1, the thinness, and that's makes it more comfortable. 2, I like using glass screen protectors. I did take off the screen protector on the armor box so I can use the screen protector that's on my s24 ultra. And when I put the front cover on, then put it in the case the screen lifted.😢. Which didn't happen with the mag xt. Even when I had my s23 ultra, the same thing happened with both cases. Armor box, and supcase unicorn beetle pro. But know with the flat screen, I can use the supcase unicorn beetle pro in enigma with a glass screen protector. Plus, the supcase unicorn beetle pro comes with two frames, with and without the screen protector. As the I-blasson armor box only has one frame. I still love both companies.

It's all about heat dissipation. If one wants to game more than five minutes, or record in ProRes. I'd like a real carbon fibre version. Superlight. For that money, Id expect carbon fibre. If they dont lower the price, competitors will come in fast. With carbon fibre. Not me though, Im no entrepreneur.

Its a good phone for the price but the ONE THING i HATE about is WHY they keep placing that goddamn FFC cut out on the center , like gets in the way of the content , its annoying af and very intrusive, the stylus 21 had it on the corner and it was WAY CLEANER.

I've been using this phone since 2024 (hehe), and the only problem I had with it was the bloatware. It's easy to remove them of course, but it's the fact that it comes with so much by default that's the problem.

I won't buy otterbox for my iphone 16 pro, with that camera control cut out leaving the screen unprotected in that area you might as well not have a case on it at all. It makes me mad that companies forget their roots and start taking the low road.
