Don’t move here stay away from here
How is fishing there? Is it enough/not endangered species (in my area its a issue). Where do one pay for the fishing? And is it allowed to make fire, down by the water (again about my area , fire is not allowed ,because even a light breeze can blow a sparckle , and turn into a tragedy for the dry forest ,and the wild life). I would like you to mention the rules about fishing, is it allowed to camp with tent, what rules are about "toilet brake (in my area, one have to dig it down), where to park ,aso... And also ,is water clean enough to drink ? Do houseboaths have a place to emty their "suer" and throw garbage at?
Would you want to live here?
Would you live here
I live in Antioch. Renting out my current home and getting a bigger home for cheaper in Clarksville. I work from home so no problem. Homes are over 100k cheaper than where I live if you would pick it up and drop it here in Antioch
You are absolutely correct!
So, poor urban planning. American city planning and traffic design is trash. We have built everything around cars and are surprised by the traffic.
@@jamessandsmark226 very true would you prefer a city designed purely around walking?
But they still charge taxes on perishable items like food. There are some problems with Tennessee. Elements of this administration having affected it.
Would you live here?
I lived there for a while. I drove to Nashville everyday bc there was nothing there
We have clients who say the same thing. They need the affordable home with 4-5 bedrooms and willing to make the commute. Where do you live now?
Hendersonville vs murfresboro pleaz compare them 😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢
We will work on that!
We do not need luxury communities. We need to be able to afford housing. Most of us do not give a damn about overpriveleged wealthy people's comfort.
Clarksville is a military town and like most military towns there isn’t a whole lot to do unless you drive to a larger city. We’ve been stationed at Fort Hood Texas and when people complain about traffic I have to think they’ve never been anywhere else because it could be a lot worse. Try driving here in Texas where if the speed limit is 80 on the highway (literally) then people are going 90-100+ and cutting you off left and right. You don’t know scared until you’re up on an overpass in Dallas about 7 floors high going 80+. 😅 I’ll take the calm and quietness of Clarksville anyday.
affordability? LOL. sidewalks??? walk to work school, no way... They are woefully behind on infrastructure. I suppose if you can afford 3/4 of a mill. pickups and jeeps??? y'all didn't visit you guessed. SUVs are the majority. Y'all are out of touch. will not watch anymore of your videos.
I used to live in the Hermitage area. I remember driving thru Mt Juliet, and nothing was there. I loved eating at Darfons. Yum
Darfons is one of my favorite places to eat in Donelson! I meet clients there when we are on that side of town. Locally owned and definitely worth a try!
Does this town sit under a airplane flight zone????
The BNA airport is really close to Donelson so parts of it definitely can be.
Another thing I dislike about Clarksville is the downtown area and the flock of hipster's flocking. I worked at Strawberry Alley as a prep cook and the line cook and the whole "local brewery" hometown bullshit is overplayed. Seen this soo many times in LA and I guess I'm just hating but you don't need murals with a fuckin hastag to your Instagram shit, overpriced boutique stores, it's already been done to death and the douchebag normies give off Hollywood Euro trash type vibes of influencers who are broke so they try to hype up the town. Hah I finished the video and saw dude recommend Strawbery Alley (ale works) ill forgive the blunder because honestly as a chef/prep cook/line cook i have to give props for all the people that worked and work there as prep cooks/line cooks. The food is genuinely good, the fries are made fresh (i hand plunged them through the fry cutter) Just don't ask about Mother's Day 2022, we ran outta potatoes for the frys, chips for the nachos, salmon and i think steak. That was like my last day and the new kitchen manager fucked up the whole order of what we needed. Haven't worked in a lot of restaurants but I remember that night we closed at 8 instead of 10. That shit was all bad.. but for real the bacon mac cheese, shrimp and grits, chicken piccata and shrimp bowl were all my sautee station.. it's a mother fucker at dinner service but the rush was real....The authenticity of a small downtown seems gone and it's just people trying to turn what is a cool little downtown trying to turn it into something bigger. Hell it's Clarksville, you ask anyone who isnt from TN they won't be WOWed when you're coming from a big city.... I bet downtown Clarksville in the 90s had a lot more authenticity but now it's a hot hub for people to snap photos in front of and post their sub par pictures of their dishes online. Again BRO it's Clarksville, take that shit to Nashville or wherever the fuck you came from.😂
I wish they would make a bridge that ran somewhere between hwy 149 that shot straight over to dover road/ft campbell bl... Out in Cali you had multiple detour routes if needed but out here man it's like you have 4 main roads of you wana get anywere and thats Riverside,Wilma, Madison and Ft Campbell Bl PS can we get some better fast food service on Riverside? These places have like 3 cars and are slow as hell, asking you to pull up to the next window or park in a curbside spot. I never seen shit like that in Cali, you order at the box and your food was ready to go. I know it's a different demographic of workers (in CA it was mostly non teen Hispanics workers) vs lazy teens and early 20s but ever fast food spot acts like you're inconveniencing them when you order food.. I guess we can't have it all right ?😂😂
Thanks for the comments. Appreciate you watching and weighing in
Sounds like you should just go back to Cali...
I lived near LA and my sister's fam moved to Cunningham in 2013. Her husband was in the Marines and another couple they clicked with on base in CA the friends husband had fam in Clarksville. Long story short both families moved here after they got out, my sister doesn't talk to the other couple anymore but my woman and I would fly out to visit every year We liked it more and more and decided to come out in 2021 and I'm mostly happy here. Live on the South side of the river in the "country" but at the time of moving didn't realize ot was a military town from previous visits. Woulda preferred moving to Dickson or even Springfield but I have met a shit ton of other Californians and I have to say we are mostly like minded and moved for a reason. Politically im more aligned, I can shoot my firerams in my backyard, ride my atvs and actually have some property. I love living across the river and honestly glad my sister put me on game when looking for houses out here that were nice but in the city etc.. she knew what I was looking for and one of her homegirls was moving back to MT and luckily I was a cash buyer and got the house across the river when there weren't many. I have noticed even being here 3 years that it's like every spot than have a little track home sun division is getting built and while I could be considered part of the problem as an out of stater I do kinda feel like housing is going nuts.. I could likely sell my house I have now for $330k easily when I bought it for $250k with 1.6 acres. The woman that sold it was cool and said if i shoot her a cash offer she wouldn't put it on the market etc.. she didn't Wana hassle with escrow etc so I guess I got a good deal but back then the house im in was pushing $275k..
It won’t be long before they start putting skyscrapers up in Clarksville lol
I don't see it in their future due to the flight paths of the 101st. I can see them following the blue print similar to one in Washington DC. All buildings with 5 floors or less.
Not a soul to be seen, what the heck?
Just due to time of day we shot. There are definitely people in Cookeville 🤪
The real reason - half the houses are for sale and the buyers want DOUBLE what they paid two or three years ago. May they never sell.
People keep moving to Clarksville. Showed houses for two different couples this week. The good news is the buyer has options. Thanks for watching!
Terrible, Duck River is already being strained to supply water. Just last Summer Spring Hill was rationing water.
DONT MOVE HERE IT SUCKS (it doesn’t we’re just over populated)
Is it typically younger folks or mixed and younger i mean 20s 😂
Well the university keeps a ton of college age kids local, and many stay after college so its pretty diverse
Im coming into town for work from 5/21/24-6/8/24. Any recommendations?
Sure. If you want to text us we can help you connect any dots 615.378.5252
Visit the Museum in downtown Clarksville. Heard strawberry ally is not too bad. The Downtown Commons normally host events around 7:30 at night. Be sure to check out Clarksville Collection on Franklin street before you leave. It’s the summer time so it’s definitely a lot nicer and warmer. So downtown is where you mostly want to hang out.
Naw it sucks don’t come stay where you are people
MJ is nice I live in it closer to the river
That's a nice pocket by the water! Thanks for watching!
Can u please send me more information?
Sure please send us a text with your email or contact info to 615.378.5252
It’s not bad tbh, been here sense I was 10 granted exit 1 and 4 are packed but the outskirts
Are nice*
Spring Hill has Main Street a narrow two lane rd and traffic is so bad it takes 30 minutes to get 3 blocks (no kidding) no room for turn lanes. I drive it daily. You'll also notice about 1/3 of the car tags are now out of state. There are 100s of 1000s of over priced condos being built on top of each other. Check the 1980 population vs 2024. It's a small town and there is no room to widen the narrow two lane rd without knocking down all the historic homes. Locals now avoid the area if possible because the traffic and dense population will cause a stroke. Fairview is your better option. As mentioned with traffic on I65 you aren't getting in or out of town in a timely fashion. It will be a trashy dump soon esp w/ the low paying industial factory jobs like GM ect. Test it first.
Thanks for the comments. Those are some of the reasons we think everything close to June lake will quickly become the most desirable part of Spring Hill. We talk about this in our June lake videos. The new exit on I65 will make that whole section so much more convenient than the rest of Spring Hill. Thanks for watching our videos
@@Ckelto for implants
@@Ckelto my kids graduated there about 10 yrs ago thankfully we were able to move back out in the hills but still have to deal with the congestion and traffic working there. Not long ago it wasn't much more than a few beautiful historic plantations and a silo now you can see cheap expensive subdivions in the background of those historic homes instead of trees
Why do these videos brag about houses that are 3-500,000? They better have jobs that pay $40/hr +
I was born and raised there and left in 99 (Air Force)... I do not even recognize Clarksville anymore.
It definitely continues to grow in all directions.
😲🤒🥵🤢🤮😷💩
Clarksville’s land and homes are rising fast because of the people moving here. Traffic is horrendous, they are not expanding roads, very little and slow if at all. Clarksville is mostly a military town, not a whole lot of major stores and things to do. There are some highlights about this town some of the history, some of the new small owned businesses but a lot of things need to change and improve.
Thanks for the comment
Turning off... what an asshole of a content creator.
Nashville sucks pretty hard
Thanks for all the great info! Still about 8 or 9 years out from retirement but looking to relocate from CA to TN.
Appreciate the comment and thanks for watching our videos!
Good info - thank you.
We have been planning a move to clarksville from Washington state... my inlaws are in Kentucky and its the closest place to them where we cam transfer our jobs...
Interesting. Kentucky is not far away and Clarksville definitely has jobs. Thanks for the comment. If you want us to help you with housing needs feel free to call or text us 615.378.5252. Thanks for watching
Over populated and not very affordable to live there, it will like New York in the next ten years, sidewalks are scares and road infrastructure is garbage, beware
traffic on 65 either way in the mornings straight trash at least an hour to nashville if there is not a wreck. springhill is overdeveloped now and with the mismanagement of funds in the area things will be getting worse infrastructure mainly. when all the cali people coming here and buying up so many houses without even looking at the the cost of living has went up like crazy. why make a half truth video? 2 good things I can think of from living in the area for 6 years now is the school system and food. keeping it real here people franklin and brentwood are the same as this area now.........just because the music people can afford to waste time and money by living just north of spring hill does not mean everyone else can. good day and keep it real people!
Thanks for watching and appreciate you weighing in
Love this video. This makes me want a hobby farm. Can you help me find one of these properties too ?
Yessir. We are currently helping a client get 50 acre hobby farm. Middle TN has some awesome landscapes. Lets talk
BS > Franklin Tenn. is expensive and not an economical place to retire at all - unless your somewhat wealthy ? -- "Top" place - only if you have a lot of $ ! 🤔 Certainly not for an average US retired person ? Not affordable for many Americans. 😥
Thanks for the video! Where, specifically, is the suburban area featured at 3:20?
Thanks for watching. Not exactly sure but if you like that area then east nashville is a great starting point
Does Smyrna and Nolensville have same tax rate as Franklin?
Smyrna is in Rutherford County. Franklin and Nolensville are in Williamson. Both have low tax rates compared to Davidson County, which is Nashville proper. Hopefully that answers your question
Clarksville should consider a freeway loop around the city I 424
You are 100% spot on with that statement! Nashville has two loops around the city. 440 and 840 and both have been great for good the area. Clarksville should consider this as well.
Be careful what you wish for. My few years in Clarksville I've noticed lots of shit drivers. Either everyone rides your bumper or pull out at the wrong time in busy traffic. Also Clarksville drivers when you're turning left on a green yield light don't be afraid to fucking pull put to the middle of the intersection as you wait to turn. You don't have to camp behind the limit line, miss the yield light and wait for a solid green... Ohh yah the middle turn/merge lanes aren't your personal fucking turn lanes to travel 200ft to get to the turning lane when there are multiple driveways that the lane was designated for.. stop driving like assholes 😂
isn't Clarksville the fourth largest City in TN?
Chattanooga is the 4th largest. Clarksville is the 5th. Keep an eye out on Murfreesboro and Cookeville. They are growing fast too.
@@wheretolivenashville For 2024 stats, Clarksville is under 1000 residents away from passing Chatt. Cookeville, while growing, only has around 35-40k residents. Meanwhile, the city is expanding with more things to do, great restaurants without thinking it's too big for it's own britches. For me, the land in Nashville proper simply wasn't worth it, with the same home in both places could have a $100k or more difference. Lot of great things about the city for sure.
Ive lived there about 15 years in the late 90s thru early 2000s. I enjoyed it. Worked at a shoppette on Ft. Campbell for a while. 41A is a nightmare to drive. Blackhorse Brewery was by far one of my favorite restaurants there.
Thanks for the response Wayne! We couldn't agree more, Blackhorse Brewery is a gem!
I was at the Blackhorse 2-3 times a week. The Vanilla Cream Ale was one of my favorites. Some of my fathers Ashes are in the POW-MIA memorial in the park up near Ft. Campbell. He was a Vietnam Vet. I miss going to all the places around Clarksville, like Ft. Donaldson and La d Between the Lakes.
Frank Sutton is from Clarksville. He is well known as Sgt Vince Carter on Gomer Pyle, USMC.
