My gran lived in that block for 47 years until she died back in 2011. They used to say she was "in with the bricks". I stayed up there many times with her when staying over in Glasgow.

Are the red and grey clad ones, as at the beginning, more recently built or was that a modernization? I'm used to the red stone clad ones, like those that appear later. Not that I ever knew much of them. I'm Canadian, but mom was born and raised in Greenock and dad in Port Glasgow- he for sure spent childhood in tenements like that. Maybe even the Clune Park estate. I know he went to Clune Park School. His cousin lived in one, near Newark Castle, into this century. My grandfathers worked in the shipyards. I can't be sure which- the one I have heard of was Scott Lithgow.

JT are all these flats 3 bedrooms? I remember being in one years ago and sure it was 4 or 5 bedrooms. Was on top 2 floors.

suprised these flats are still here. they wont be for long. this place was a absaloute hell hole until about 2010.
