台灣隔離食紀 food vlog | 2022 quarantine in taiwan
hey guys! long time no see, i hope everyone has enjoyed their summer so far :) the past week i've been quarantining in taiwan, which is mandatory (3 days in hotel + 4 days self quarantine as of june 2022) for travelers. i've recorded a lot of the meals i ate in the past week to show you guys what it is like in the hotel and the food they provide. we stayed at CheckInn hotel in Songshan and really enjoyed our stay! let me know if you have any questions about the quarantine process or any other comments in general!🥰

    Thank you for sharing! If you can roll the dough out into a thin log & cut the log into small even pieces, then roll them into balls. It is easier to make the little pearls into even size. They will be cooked more evenly. Do the pearls need to be cooked until transparent? If you can use a smaller pot to melt & cook the brown sugar, it will be smoother because the corn starch mixture hit the melted brown sugar instead of hitting the heated pan. The corn starch mixture mixes well when the liquid in the pot that can cover the pot more at least 1.5 - 2 inches high. That will avoid creating lumps in the liquid & when cooking it longer, it will turn thicker. Overall, it's a good idea & nice job but you need a longer cooking time for the pearls & the thickened brown sugar.

      Hello! Did you simmer the water roux until it was condensed and didn't fall easily from your whisk? Extra water may have resulted in your dough being more sticky... If you have any other comments, feel free to let me know.
