See and that's what cracks me up with millennials dude. They're getting nostalgic over shit that happened 15 years ago. Dude you're not even that old yet. GET OVER IT.
This crap is all nonsense that’s unrelated, and categorised by people who spent most of their time during these supposed years looking at a simian based Nokia phones, and sighing at their parents requests while living in their parents outdated house….
Weird fixation bro
Someone actually made the GameCube portable in real life and it actually worked
I went to school up the street from the playstation store, was sick we'd all play dbz boudakai in the corner on the platform.
Drachenlords father was right. Rainer should have never been on social media. Think about it. Rainer would most likely still had his house, living there and had a life for himself, if he never got on the internet. Now he has absolutely nothing Not even his name.
So if this design didn’t exist we could have had a more beautiful future in designing and maybe another bless wall paper?
my era is the 2010s (2006 kid) but i still feel a strange amount of nostalgia looking at these styles. I did interact with a weird amount of y2k stuff when i was younger, so maybe thats the reason. And i wish things started looking unique again.
The translucent phase was awesome. :) Maybe I will do a 2000s video as well, only made one about the 90s so far
The minimalism today is the result of the let down the new millennium became.
What horrible futures. Like trying to mix oil with water.
lol nice
In the end by LINKIN PARK, the music video is probably one of my most cherished Y2K era aesthetics.
Goated song
Palmolive recently did the aquarium soap 🧼 🐠 dispensers again, they are back in 2024, here in 🇬🇧
My Sony Ericson S500's design theme is nature.
I think the trend of using chrome was meant to highlight the round shapes. In the 80s, Ford introduced rounder design for cars which was very different from the boxy cars in that era. The trend of having rounder design continued in the 90s and eventually became mainstream for other products like electronics and eventually became an aesthetic norm.
Back in the 2000s, especially around 2005-2009, I was certain that the 2000s aesthetics were the way of the future and there's no way it would ever change. I never thought that in the future, product designs and graphic designs would become minimalistic like they were in the 2010s and today. When everything became minimalistic in the early 2010s, I was very disappointed and felt like it was going backward. I did, however, think that early 2000s was tacky whereas everything got more refined in the mid 2000s. Much of the aesthetics in the 2000s are the result of steady evolution from the 90s but became more extreme because after entering the year 2000, a lot of people thought that they were living in the future because they had just entered the second millenia so they were forcing themselves to be as futuristic as possible. I think the "bling bling" fashion trend was influenced by hip hop music and the trend of pink stuffs might be influenced by Paris Hilton.
The word core needs to be erased from existence
3:45 I Have That Controller!
Metalheart and Gen X Soft Club aesthetics are so amazing, god I miss it... remember those incredible Winamp skins?
It felt different because people were optimistic about their futures.
The best!
im sick of zommer videos of 90s things that they never lived. find your own thing, stop recycling.
Yeah we had a fish themed bathroom growing up 😁
I HATE SOO MUCH the "WINDOWS 8 Box" design of consoles UI nowadaws
good old days
I think Apple would build a wildly good console. Imagine the M4 with a cooler at 60w like the larger consoles. 24 gigs of ddr7 would run side by side with the future consoles.
Why don't game companies make translucent consoles and controllers anymore 😢
remember zoomers, you missed living throught this era and everything you do is nothing more than a hollow imitation of what was... create your own "core" and stop stealing it
I am now reminded how much I wanted one of those toilet covers with the fish in it.
I remember the bigahh iMacs they had in elem and we'd fck around with them at school in kidpix
boom boom pow music video
Apple gameing entertainment
we so excited with new millenium so we are obsessed with futurism
its not nostalgia, things actually were just better back then.
Whats the song in the intro?
"educate yourself, understand whats going on around you, you are not living at a time of peace, you are in a state of war and you have precious little time to save yourself. You dont have much time, especially if we are talking about the young generations, there is not much time left for convulsions." - yuri bezmenov 1984.
I miss when tech in the 2000's looked unique, and the software felt the most free when it came to customization, I sincerely hope that one day, people look back on this unique tech, and choose to make their OWN tech be easy to distinguish and personalize, abandoning the boring, drab, and soulless bricks and squares
I was born in 2004 and remember the whole 2000’s decade like it was yesterday. I live in Wv so we didn’t great technology because we were poor and didn’t understand it but I feel like I lived through the whole decade. Man I miss the Original Xbox, and GameCube they were my life.
2:52 The game boy advance was actually from the 2000s
Simply because it's just cool
Thank you for naming some of these artstyles i just always called it trancey astract art when i was young
I totally remember when Crysis and the Witcher 3 were the ultimate benchmarks for pc performance. Now they could probably run on a Chromebook 😂
