Gacha Gacha / ガチャガチャ (2018) - Japan/Australia - short film - horror comedy
A NOT-SO-HEARTWARMING TALE ABOUT CAPSULE TOYS, THE NIGHTMARE OF OBSESSION, JEALOUS RAGE, AND A SLIMY, STOP-FRAME ANIMATED TINY MONSTER.
This Kickstarter-funded short film was made in 2018, shot in Osaka, Japan. It made its festival premiere at Monster Fest in Melbourne, Australia and continued to play across the globe. It was featured in Montreal's Fantasia Festival and picked up Best Local Film at Tokyo Lift-Off Film Festival.

A strange scene that we snipped out mainly for timing. The Trunk Man sequence was shot on Super 8 by cameraman Jean-Luc Syndikas and filmed in Macedon. It stars John Powell as the creepy Trunk Man, who was sadly entirely removed from the finished product.     I recommend this knife film AKA slasher, to any horror fan! However if you're expecting a mainstream slasher film with all the rules! You will be disappointed! If you're not accustomed to Australian horror films! There style is more unconventional, they don't fallow the formula of American Horror which makes them refreshing to watch!
