Food Plot Tip | Frost Seeding Clover into Winter Rye
Просмотров 1,2 тыс.2 года назад
Jordan kicks off the 2022 food plot season by frost seeding clover into an already established plot of winter rye and white clover. Hopefully the winter rye will work as a cover crop to minimize weed competition, and when the clover is ready, a grass killer will be used to kill off the winter rye, leaving us with a beautiful clover food plot! Fingers Crossed!

Late Season Archery Buck in Minnesota | 2019
That’s awesome!! It’s a rush hunting them. Congratulations on a nice bear👍👍
nice video!
That’s a great bear Nicole! Congratulations!
383 choke looks about right.
Not in Arkansas. You have to be 6 years old minimum.
The best choke and shell combo in my 301 Turkey .410 ended being the Apex Ninja 9.5#s and the Pattermaster Code Black choke. That Pattermaster just tightens up the core of the pattern. The stock choke did very well with the Apex ammo also. Good luck this spring! 👍🏻🍺
I don’t know your situation I hate to seem critical, but good lord if that deer could’ve lived a few more years!!
I often think about what that buck could have been in a perfect scenario. The reality is that he lived in an incredibly high pressured area in MN, and his core area was near a 4 way intersection of 3 different private land owners as well as a very heavily hunted public parcel. In hindsight, and given the opportunity to do it all over again, I’d roll the dice to see if he could have survived the gauntlet one more year. Thanks for checking out the video!
Thats awesome. What a little alpha
Will you do shoulder or euro mount on that bad boy?
I'm a sucker for shoulder mounts...even when I shouldn't . Haha
@@jordanlehtola they get $850 in fargo for shoulder
Nice buck and nice shot! Congrats man. Very cool to get it all on video especially that phone call to home.
Thanks man!!
Glad to see a hunter that doesn't put so much emphasis on head hunting. Im in Indiana and deer are scarce in my area anymore. Got skunked during firearm season. Heading back out for late season archery, I'm running Afflictor broadheads as well. Id be stoked to see that buck!
He's got what it takes ❤
Pretty pumped for a 110” buck
Scoring inches of antler has nothing to do with it. It was a blast! Thanks for watching! -Jordan
That's a very nice buck, especially for MN, one of the most hunted states.
He wants to hunt for the highlights
He don't take naps, unless he's hunting in the nice warm sun is beating on him, then he takes naps😂
Fr tho😂
Love it! Great shot. Who built those slick looking sticks ya got there?
Some dude I know! I need a fresh batch of T shirts!
Great camera work, great shot, great buck!
Thank you and thanks for watching!
I have been using the earth scent for years i keep my hunting clothes in leaf bags with a wafer inside, and still wash the clothes drying them with scented dryer sheets. Then back in the bag with a wafer it has worked well for me
Hey I have some of them decoys
I can't make up my mind either. Ive bought them all
That's my boy!
Way to go Grey! Great shot!
That was awesome! So much action! Way to be patient and make a killer shot Greyson!
I tried federal and fiocchi, both were amazing at 50 yards. My stevens is going in the woods with me this year for sure
Its one heck of a gun! We just posted a video of a 4 year old knocking down a tom using the .410! Thanks for watching!
@@hauntedoutdoors I'm happy to have it for the long walks and my girls will like it I think
Great video!!!
If you don’t show it on camera it didn’t happen…buh bye
Great story....I know the sickening feeling with the high shot. Fun prank at the end....
Thanks for watching, Eric! -Jordan
What did he score ? Beautiful buck
Still not officially scored! But mid 140's is what we've come up with. He broke the end of a main beam on his death run. Thanks for watching! -Jordan
Great info man 👏👏🙏 Thanks !!
Great stuff!!! Love it!
If you upgrade your chock you will see a much better pattern and increased confidence at 40+ yards.
Oh definitely! This was just to show the capabilities of the stock choke. I upgraded to an Indian Creek choke before taking it to the woods. Thanks for watching! -Jordan
Attach an Owl nest box to the Blind. Owls will remove tick hosts for housing. There are not enough trees with cavities suitable for nesting. Avoid LYME disease, check rodent populations with Owls. To attract Turkey, plant Persimmon and White Swamp Oak trees. Professor Coggeshall with Missouri Forestry claims Swamp White Oak acorns are preferred by turkey and deer. Persimmons are very sweet and fall in November and are good at attracting all kinds of wildlife.
Surprised you are hunting turkey with so fine a shot as 9.5. I suppose if you are looking for headshots maybe it doesn't matter. So those 40 yard shots I might use #6. Nice video, clean. Install an Owl nest box on your property to check tick hosts.
Hey Mark! TSS loads have completely changed the landscape of turkey loads. Once you do some digging you'll see that 9.5 shot TSS is more than capable of knocking birds down at 40 yards and beyond! Thanks for watching! -Jordan
I don’t understand so what happens when you are off on judging the size And you spear one that’s too big or too small do they really expect you to release killed or maimed fish? Just keep it off video and off the record? Blink once for yes and 2 for no 🤣
Foxtrot ammo is awesome, I shoot them from my 28 gauge, Cherry bombs!!!
Love the ducks in field haha. Awesome hunt
Used to go with grandpa, 1 time he said move the decoy I was yanking on line and he said slowly, last time I went with him. Probably was 5.
I spear pike in Minnesota all the time since I was little and it never gets old, I finally got my 40” last weekend
Heard you say you got one in the slot and one over and you can have another over the slot. That is incorrect. You must either have both over 26" or one in the slot and one over 26".
You misheard him- He said "one under the slot and one over the slot" Thanks for watching!
Nice pike! When bringing fish out of water I have a 3 ft gaff so don’t get off? They always come off if Guna when suck them outa water. Like you do we also let them fill lungs an gills with sand for 2-3 min if fish is large just takes the fight an struggle out of fish!
I love large suckers on a decoy pin. 12” plus
What choke is this?
The choke that comes with the gun!
Thanks so your shooting the apex ninja 9.5
Always been a expandable broadhead shooter and haven't had any problems with them, so go and try them, you won't be sorry
Love your video. I haven't speared in years, so I'm glad you younger guys are keeping it going. However: That first fish, wherein you pinned it to the bottom, and held it there. I've never seen anything like that in 50 years. Is that common practice outside of northern Minnesota? I'm not calling you out, just genuinely curious.
Will they shoot out of a crossbow or will they open in flight
That's an awesome buck
Awesome video and buck. Missing him the first time just made for good drama. Epic shot through those branches too!
Smoked um
nice video check out mine..
