I’d love to seriously own this house and fix it up properly. I’d have the exteriors modernised. Maybe to look like the house in the movie. Every time a fan rolled up to the house the windows would be open (obviously because it’s hot as fuck there in the summer) and ‘People are strange’ would blast out of Alexa through loud speakers. 😆

This movie never gets old. I was in Santa Cruz 2 weeks ago and went to the boardwalk but it was closed. I also went to the comic book store but because of the Fires the comic book wasn’t there but in hiding. I will go back next year when quarantine is over. Great video. Wish Corey was still alive. My mom had a crush on him in the 80s and I can see why he is so adorable. I’ve been to the bridge it’s about an hour away from me by Magic Mt. in Santa Clarita.

So sad to see this. I gave up riding after a crash on "the ridge" Sm Mike was on that ride too. We had a nice chat about how much we both enjoyed that road. He was always super nice and we had a similar passion for riding. Condolences to his friends and family.

Joe is the sweetest man!! He used to sign my paychecks! $$.. His comic shop is in DOWNTOWN SANTA CRUZ. The shop that WAS on the corner of Pacific/Beach was turned into a liquor store/Beach rental shop MANY yrs ago. ... Joe loves to hold babies!! Bring your babies & lil ones into Atlantis! This movie was a classic back in 1987 and I was like 10 when I saw this movie they fenced up Grandpa's house, and did they ever find the cave? Its hard to believe it was 1987 when this movie came out! Corey Haim died and its sad that he is gone b/c he and Corey Feldman defined the 80s! Jamie Gertz was in Twister 1996 Less Than Zero 1987 and one TV series but I haven't seen her since then! I miss the 80s and 90s good times now fast forward to 2019 everything sucks now the new generation knows nothing! Sad don't u think?

Thanks for creating this video. This tunneled my memory into bliss for a moment that I might clarify good times versus today.

When I get to feeling too sad about my current lack of beach...I watch the movie or this video set in my beloved Santa Cruz CA. Lived a 1/2 hr away from 1951 to 2011...took it for granted I'd always be close enough to the ocean to go whenever I wanted. For Sr Sneak Day we went to the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk. One gets old & learns some hard truths. Never take anything good for granted...
