When I visited Rene Reisser in Brienz, Switzerland, we went out onto the lake on a canoe. Rene made this video of me playing the Irish slow air, called 'Slán le Maigh'. It was fairly choppy on the lake that day! I did my best.

I had a wonderful day with Rene Reusser on the Brienz Lake in Switzerland. Rene is a guitar builder, a highly skilled woodworker, a concert organiser and a very impressive film maker. This is a tune I composed a few years ago as a birthday present for my godson, Soren. Soren is a Viking name meaning ‘God of War’ and I named this tune ‘To War’ or ‘Chun Cogaidh’. It’s a command given to those who are left with no other option other than to fight.
