That was a brilliant idea photographing the pen indoors and outside. I have several pens I purchased based on the color and texture and was disappointed when I held it in my hand.

wow this is a gorgeous colour. I've been holding back on getting this pen coz I'm really not that keen on the black and the stainless steel one is like ok, but much more expensive. The Lamy ink bottle holds within it blotting paper, it's for cleaning the ink off your pen after filling it . 🖊️😎

I like the looks of that. I have the regular stainless steel.

This is gorgeous. I love the way the Lamy 2000 writes but that black will have me not reaching for it at all. I like my pens functional & gorgeous.

Congratulations on your new pen. I was lucky enough to get one with the initial release when it came out. It's really beautiful. I also have the brown LE one, as well as the original black makrolon. It's a smooth writer. The strip of paper on your ink bittle is blotting paper. All Lamy bottles of ink that size have that. So after inking your pen, you can use it to blot the excess ink.

I could never get over those little clips on the pen. Had to sell mine because of it. I also turn my nib as I write and this pen will not work that way. Congratulations on your new pen, enjoy. 💙

Having so many books is very challenging and I applaud you for sticking with all of them for so long! I had to really have a good think about what is important to me and stick to those (fewer) journals so I wouldn't put energy into journals that weren't as important.

Don't be too hard on yourself. I always find myself skipping a couple of days, and then having to go back and fill them in...🤣

That walltown, so pretty♡! When you say you don't draw up the shimmer, is that because shimmer clogs the pen, or do you just prefer no shimmer? Thanks for sharing.

I was at that show and bought my first vintage pen, a Sheaffer Oversize Balance, circa 1938 from Gerry Berg who wrote an article on plunger pens. He restored the pen and sent it to me a week after the show. I love that Danitrio. Lovely.

Mine arrived yesterday, it is so beautiful in person! Yours have a lovely mix of black with the cream and gold/peach. It reminds me of ink dripping into a potion or something. I like that even though the momento zero is smaller, the section is very comfortable and not to narrow. Ive got mine inked with Herbin Shogun at the moment, some of the few pens i actually want to use black ink in (for now). I love the idea of the pen journal, I might have to copy that idea.

Your new pen is gorgeous! I would be staring at this all day. I was looking at this several times since the pre order came up. I'm very tempted to get it in the same rose gold trim as well. I find it so interesting that your white looks more like mother of pearl. Enjoy it and I can wait to see more of your pen journal over time.

Beautiful pen. Congratulations. I too ordered on last month. The EF nibs were sold out by the time I ordered so I went for a F nib. You got a good looking pen. I’m hoping mine won’t disappoint. It really can be a hit or miss situation because no 2 blanks that are used to turn the pen are the same. But I’ve seen that with any type of ‘Abalone’ pen, the end result is generally very aesthetically pleasing. I also chose the Rose gold trim
