TrioColores, a renowned percussion ensemble, is recognized as one of the foremost interpreters of a diverse percussive repertoire ranging from classical works to celebrated contemporary compositions. Matthias Kessler, Luca Staffelbach, and Fabian Ziegler, have established themselves as a versatile and innovative trio.
For nearly a decade, TrioColores has appeared in many venues and festivals throughout Europe including the Davos Festival in Switzerland and Lausitz Festival in Germany, performing uniquely designed concerts that highlight the versatility of percussion instruments. Their repertoire not only includes traditional percussion literature but also challenging arrangements of classical music, a specialty that has earned them acclaim. The trio’s debut at the Chamber Music Hall of the Berlin Philharmonic in 2021, featuring their arrangement of Ravel’s complete “Le Tombeau de Couperin,” exemplifies their skillful integration of percussion into classical concert programming.

7:21 marimba 1's part has a sixteenth note pattern starting on the "+/and" of beat 3??? is that just up the scale? very curious i find it very interesting. reminds me of the different ways that micheal burrit plays his marimba 1 part in the video on ivan's channel
Tears !! Wow its what percussion can do, just create a totally alien yet accessible vibe. God I loved my time in percussion esemble.Btw drum set was dynamic perfection.
Do yall Know warm sounding mallets from infinity percussion
Well the person who likes Hayden is likely to be a practical joker
Love this piece! Great playing guys! Please do the rest of the suite🙂
@@Thenewfishontheblock Hi there :) Thanks for your comment. We did the whole work - you can find it on our album „En Couleur“ on all the platforms☺️
@ just listened, great job!
Love it! 😊
Superb! Wonder what Ravel would have thought to hear his idea so beautifully articulated?
Dancing, along with the music. Two for one!
Wonderful!😊
Delightful, soothing and melodious! Thankful to you all. 👏👏👏
Omg thank you ! I love Faure so much ❤
Wonderful! I've never heard this piece before, but now no other performance will sound quite as good!
Is there music for this
Watching the entire recording thanks to the video I found on the yt-channel by Leucom... All pieces are incredibly amazing when played in action! The new piece mentioned in this short is truly extraordinary and special with its very contrasting parts. First, I felt it was hard to follow but then I just let the music be the guide, remaining open-minded and curious where it takes the listener, "trusting the unknown, new melodies" that never fail to surprise by unveiling their contrasting character(s) in numerous, different "colortones" including a nice palette of "special effects" ! An auditive adventure I maybe don't listen to over many hours in a row but I think it's a very precious piece like a mysterious, colorfully sparkling music-gemstone that takes you on a fantastic journey, creating intriguing suspense, then unfolding a mix of strange, awesome, refreshing melodies which keep on thriving in a captivating way, (try to find words formulating it this way:) sometimes I felt it's like a marvellous musical jigsaw puzzle where the different parts have something unifying in their core and then fit all together in the end: all colors, expressions and impressions merge together into a uniquely magnificent piece of art ! A magical taste of malletpercussionpower 🎶✨️ 🎼🎨Many thanks for sharing !
Wunderschöne Arbeit👏👏👏 Tolle Stimmung👏👏👏 BRAVISSIMO👏👏👏
We and two of my friends are getting ready to perform this in march. So excited. Just got the drum part today!
Definitely the best music of all time. Hope more!
Great place for the drummer to be. Right in the middle. What a rush!!!!!
So lovely sound.I wish you success in your career
Ahh.. I remember the very first performance of this piece. Back in my youth, I snuck into the concert hall at Paris in June. I think it was '84, no, 1885? i could be wrong, my memory is a little foggy after 156 years...
Maybe I'm too tired tonight to appreciate this piece without being unfair. I'll try another time.
Glorious music performed by magnificient musicians !
I know they are french, but they do look charmingly finnish 🫶
Sehr mitreißend gespielt. Danke! 👌
Where did you release this piece? In a swiss church?
We made the video in the katholische Kirche Altishofen in Switzerland. Thank you, we are glad you like it.
@TrioColores Sankt-Martin is such a beautiful creation from the last period of Barock. Designed by Jakob Singer, an Austrian architect coming from Tirol (1718-1788).
Wow! Again, a fantastic epic thrilling re-creation. Einfach bezaubernd 🙌👏😍
My jaw dropped at how smoth and how perfectly you guys played the song
This is a w e s o m e
Amazing
Wunderbar, danke. Schade, dass es Do kurz ist. 😉
Danke vielmals! 😊
@TrioColores Vielen lieben Dank! Muss ich mir gleich anhören! 🙂
Awwwwww 😍🙌♥️ I discovered Darius Milhaud when I was 16 during the music class in college thanks to my dearest music teacher who also trained a part of the class to sing in a choir
why do i want to live in a video game with this as the background music
the sync is insane. so smooth
This is so impressive, im a traditional musician myself and I cant but ask how are you guys remaining in sync? No base percussion or director and every time i played (clarinet) i had to tap my feet and look at the director Damn!
Congratulations! This was truly an amazing and wonderful performance. I hope more people get to see this video and look forward to hearing more adaptations and performances of other pieces.
I emailed the company for the mallets and they told me the company closed down and their not the ones who made those mallets is there anywhere else I can buy them? I can’t find them anywhere else
Yes, just saw that he retired and they are no existing anymore. Check out Infinity Percussion for mallets then :)
Marimba time
The little jump at the very beginning is so adorable
The chemistry between you three is so obvious and uplifting that it gives everyone wings 🙌😍♥️
Wirklich nice 👍
🍀🧡💛🧡🍀
This song reminds me of a lot of the Orient.
