Modern girls and band of the hand are some of the best showcases of what style the 1980s had and music. I do not think any other film hits such a perfect stride as Modern Girls in taking us to the many clubs that they visit and it being a portal for todays audiences in taking them there

This is late 80s style and it still survived until the 90s. I remember places looking like this in the early 90s. Really brings back memories.

I have that same mohair/acrylic sweater with the green, yellow and lavender. My son gave it to me for an ugly sweater party. Mine does not have shoulder pads, so I that’s fun to see!

The 80s were filled with "One Magic Night" movies with varying budgets. You could do a whole post on just this plot alone. They were usually fun because if you did not like the situation it would change in about five minutes. They were also filled with supernatural themes like The Heavenly Kid, and I suggest you watch "Date With an Angel" (1987) with Phoebe Cates, Michael E. Knight & Emmanuelle Béart. Great list.
