I had a similar thing happen with one of mine, I ended up feeding it a mix of reef roids and Selcon very lightly once a week and it bounced back. I get frozen krill from my LFS and it's been doing well since.

Not the first time I’m hearing horror stories about grocery store shrimps. I’ve seen in it a few times in forums and I’ve personally experienced it with my nem (thankfully he survived). Never feeding grocery store crap to tankmates again.

Wow this exact thing happened to me with my nems. Water parameters were perfect and it all went down hill after feeding frozen shrimp from the store. It now makes sense it could have been the shrimp.

Thxs for the video. I can't stand my waterbox, thx God i got it used cheap. The pump is too powerfull, can't adjust, fish are traumatized, i turn it off half the day. I have a smaller one, but i m afraid when i get the plumbing for it, it won't fit in the return hole. Tank is always a mess, all my other tanks are clear and the fish are happy. I see you seem to be troubleshooting more than enjoying looking at the fish. Pretty tank, but i have only issues with it. Clearly not a system for me.

Probably not the shrimp. Because if every anemone ate that shrimp they would all die. And since you added the anemones to your aquarium and the nems recovered makes me think it was chemical warfare between the black widow nem and the other nems. Especially since the black widow was doing good.

Exact mistake I made doing a large water change, however when my salinity alarm went off because it was below 1020 I quickly grabbed all my fish and rocks with corals and placed them into non heated cold bucket of mixed salt water, I lost a single small sps coral only, thank goodness for the alarm. I expected to loose most of it because of shock but they survived. After that I purchased my daughter the same alarm, cheap works on Tuya app and Alexa commands, it’s not totally accurate but it certainly is good enough it easily sees an issue. Just search for 7 in 1 saltwater monitor. Not even the cost of a small standard torch colony, think about it, worth every cent., dump the probes into your tank and set alarms for each item, temperature, ph, salinity. I got it initially because f the fear of a heater sticking on, never thought of salinity but it worked and saved me.heaps.

Just need a snail ..the one with pointy top can self flip itself over if it’s belly up. It will take care of that algae on the rock and wood.
