Here in North central Kentucky I've noticed how some of the major highways around here were originally buffalo trails with a few historical markers along the way

Maybe that circular structure was a protected fire pit, since the wind was so intense there? That would make sense with the animal bones, though they weren't blackened of course. They didn't use kilns to make pottery or bricks, correct? Very interesting.

I am 73 and I’m looking forward to spending the winter in the desert on several different archaeological sites. I have a third generation Toyota that is set up for cross country. We don’t need any roads lol looking forward to the adventures.
