I personally feel that the Architects are an essential part of the subnatica series, so I am guessing we will be able to learn more about them. Even if it's not specific to Al-an and Robin after the events of Below Zero. But I could always be wrong 🤷🏼‍♂️

Don't have a VR headset, so I've never tried it in VR, but I'm sure it's incredible. I think the main reason they kind of abandoned it was there weren't enough players with vr gear to justify putting the time and effort to doing both normal and vr, so they focused on the normal mode. However, that may be different now, and they may be considering VR again. Who knows 🤷🏼‍♂️ 🤔

@Pedigreedmoth you should get a quest 3 and a gaming pc. The community has come out with mods(which I'm using) which makes subnautica a complete vr game. It's incredible.

The devs have stated it's a new planet and takes place some time after the events of below zero, but it is always possible that they are pulling a "Marvel" type move of changing the trailer to avoid spoilers in the movie 🤔🤷🏼‍♂️ but I don't think that's what they are doing

When you create a save file, up to like 40 time capsules can populate around the map. So some save files just get lucky with more capsules than others

@Pedigreedmoth it's original release date was October 2023 lol. It's "supposed to" release this fall, but Re-Logic is notorious for pushing back release dates

Oof lol at least you know they aren't afraid to push it back to make it right instead of releasing it on-time but under baked 😅

@@Pedigreedmoth definitely. One of the best things about Re-Logic is they always prioritize quality. They have an incredible report with the community, but we've been hearing about 1.4.5 for around two years now and we're getting disenfranchised when they keep saying things like "it'll be out Fall 2023", "it'll be out early 2024", "for real this time, Fall 2024"

I haven't heard anyone being negative about the game other than the initial fears of GaaS, which is refreshing

Well said. They have a winning formula in their hands, and all they have to do is take their time and craft a masterpiece. I hope they aren't afraid to take a few risks (especially in early access where they can always revert changes that don't work out) and push the boundaries of the game

Current info seems to point to release on PC/Xbox Series X/PS5 The previous games went into early access on steam first and were later brought over to consoles, so it is possible we see it hit PC first. But it is entirely possible they are planning this one to enter early access across the three platforms simultaneously

Yes, it works the same way. Hit them with a knife, and you should get "spores" then just plant the spores. They may not mature if they are planted right next to a different type of plant, however, so either just grow the shrooms together or leave a gap between them and other types of plants

The confusion comes from this: Subnautica (the original game) aka Subnautica 1 Subnautica: Below Zero (not considered a sequel, considered standalone DLC/Expansion), but many people still think of/ refer to this as "Subnautica 2" for years now. The Next Subnautica game (unreleased sequel and the focus of this video). Devs are referring to this one AS Subnautica 2 as the official name, but when players first started to hear about it, they were calling it Subnautica 3 since it's the third release in the series. I also believe some large unofficial mod projects were calling themselves "Subnautica 2" adding more to the confusion. Think about the Assassin's Creed games. After Assassin's Creed 2, they released multiple games featuring Ezio before actually making "Assassin's Creed 3" despite it actually being like the 5th game released. Hope this helps

Yeah, I didn't really think it through until I actually started looking 😅 I was hoping to just chill and look without having to mod, but I see now that that's not a very realistic idea considering the spawn rates for them

Yeah doing without the mod is pretty painful, I've found between 40-50 in about 20 hours and I've only found one S2 one, and ofc it was 1 of the 2 that i've already seen ffs

@Cut-Short yeah I think before I attempt another search, I will have to add mods that increase the spawn rate as well as the mod that makes them able to be scanned by the scanner room. Between these two mods, it will make the search more fun/ enjoyable.

@Pedigreedmoth I did download them but I can't get them to work properly, I've posted a thread on nexus mods and hopefully it will get approved soon
