I can confirm it currently works with Quest 2 & 3, they aim for it to work with Pico but may be having some teething issues there

@@ItsVRK Well I dowloaded the links they gave and it seems ok until I change MSFS2020 to VR. Then it can't see the pico4 headset. I wish they would fix it.

Buttkicker is a more expensive, but much better, solution.....a number of my followers have Buttkickers and love them. I have the NLR HF8 Haptic seat pad (around $AU300/$US185) and while definitely not knocking the buttkicker, the HF8 requires no installation, and you have huge flexibility on how you distribute different functions, eg; gear lowering/raising, rumble strips, stall warning, engine RPMs etc etc across 8 separate vibration zones. Whichever solution you end up selecting, Haptic feedback definitely adds to the overall immersion factor and is worth getting for your rig.

As GunPilot stated price was a factor, but it may be woth going with buttkicker because of the included software.. Yaw have indicated that they would like to add bass haptics functions to GameLink, this is my ideal outcome as there isn’t really any universal software available for both flight sims and racing at the moment

Posting this has led to trapdoor issue being resolved in currently shipping units, and I know they are also fixing the leg rest flex. Also neither of these are issues for all possible use cases. 🤷‍♂

@@TailDragger_FLY for games that work with open XR you'll want to look at OXRMC, there isn't really a good option for OpenVR games, Infuse VR will actually work with a DOF Reality sim. github.com/BuzzteeBear/OpenXR-MotionCompensation

I believe it does work via link cable with a Quest, but I haven’t tested myself.

I don’t know if they have changed the seat from what was on offer with the Yaw 2, but I’m of the mind that a real car racing seat will be much more comfortable, I bought one via FB Marketplace

The yaw’s feet are bolted to the platform, and the castors lock it to the floor perfectly.. it’s super stable 👍

If you will be using a Quest or other Android based HMD then yes, via InfuseVR

Once the InfuseVR update lands the Pico is probably your best option that allows for full 360 rotation without having to worry about cables getting tangled

Another way to look at it is this, if they fix these things then reviewers will have a harder job saying negative things which means more retail sales will occur.. then you get your backer unit quicker..

You are absolutely ridiculous! First, they are slowly shipping to backers. They aren't slowing this because Brian keeps finding more issues. The Yaw3 is a better device already due to feedback he has given. If he did get a Yaw3 for "free" it would have been hard earned! He has done incredible service for the community here and on the Discord channel. He has been the primary outlet for updates the last many many months as well with his Zsolt interviews. I for one am happy to be a late backer as when I do get my Yaw3 it will be a more refined unit. I really want the issues he pointed out fixed with my unit, especially the wobble! Brian, don't listen to this hogwash! You are absolutely a HERO and the bulk of us appreciate you endlessly! Keep up the amazing work, please!

I think the content is good and a product will never get better without feedback. Nonetheless, it's an illusion to think that a product is perfect right from the start and it will probably never be perfect - but for the price it's already a hit! What bothers me a lot, however, is Brian's subtle demanding and reproachful manner - and that's what @SIRIch-py4gx means. Despite all the feedback, I would like to see a different tone here! If I were in Zolt's position (especially if you know how Hungarians experience this kind of communication), I would not remain so patient or I would refrain from further interviews on youtube. So, don't stop, but changing the style according to the above feedback would be good....

This is the last of the hardware issues as I see it, the trapdoor is minor, the leg rest i believe is important. There is no demand, this is information for potential purchasers and to help Yaw improve the product. Yes infuse definitely works with quest 3, it’s what I was using in this video 👍 Controller based tracking is slightly more accurate
