Oh my goodness! That is a much bigger difference than I was expecting! While I am a bit frustrated by how long it is taking to get my device, I am happy to see the improvements that keep happening as I wait. I will eventually get a much better machine than I would have had I received it immediately after purchasing so many years ago. I remain optimistic and excited to receive mine one day. Thanks for the videos. I have been enjoying everything you put out about the Yaw devices, including the interviews with Zsolt (sp?).
Amazing difference. I'm happy about the refinements they've made and looking forward to getting this version vs the original Yaw 2. Thanks the comparative test. Though I wonder how much of the Yaw 2's noise would be dampened by the weight of a user in the chair.
@@dtz1000 No, not at all. It's quite impressive here because the microphone is near the simulator, and it runs a roller coaster. For sim racing and flight sim, the Yaw does not move like that and it's very "quiet".
@@hitman-yu1wm in all the cases I won't switch for now, it's a huge investment and I want to keep it for a long time 😅 But I don't know why, but I'm better confident in the "rack mechanism" full of metal of the Yaw2, instead of the new one 🤷
That's actually an incredible difference! WOW! Thanks for doing this Brian!! Is it just me or does the Yaw 3 seem to have less inertia, tighter movements, smoother movements, and an even faster response time than the Yaw 2?
Yup, yaw really screw us over. had plans to eventually add yaw to the yaw 2, but now they gone and discontinued it. I hope they provide some deep discount to upgrade to the yaw 3
If I had known how loud the yaw 2 was I probably wouldn't have given money to the kickstarter. But it may turn out alright in the end, if i ever get my yaw 3.
This is a relative comparison, the microphone proximity is exaggerating the noise level as compared to what you would hear standing near the Yaw. I tried the first Yaw 2 demo unit in the USA in 2021 and it was not nearly that loud.
Not sure what you mean, if you are thinking that from the video two different camera angles were used. I think there was maybe 1-2 degrees reduction in the Y3.
my yaw 2 is no where as noisy as your one it sounds like there is a meshing problem. Yes the yaw 2 dose make more noise but this video of yaw 2 seems especially bad.
I prefer yaw 3, but the noise on Yaw2 is better for racing games as you hear noise on the track

Good things come to those who wait

Looks good. Wonder if they sorted the shipping packaging out.
Wow, that is a huge difference
Nice. Backer 957 and happy with the delay. :)
cheers for the comparison i also happy that the yaw 3 is so much quieter, but can you control how much rotation it has ?
Yes you can set rotation limits in either Game Engine or Sim Racing Studio
Interesting. I have the Yaw2 and I am already happy with it.
Is it as loud as it is in this video?

@@PierreEXM if yaw2 silent enought then switching to yaw3 doesn't seem like a good idea, because in new version lost 30-50% of roll

@@dtz1000 The Yaw 2 does sound a little different when there is someone seated in it.. I'll attempt to make that comparison when I get time.
Crazy difference

Yes! I also noticed the tighter/more accurate movement while editing this video.
Thanks for explaining at the end. 😂
Lol yes, I was undecided until he brought in that clarification. =D
That was actually fun that he did that.
Wow that's a big difference!
Chalk and cheese. Thanks for the video.

Where are you based? and when did you receive your unit? Reach out to me on the Discord and send a photo of the bottom of the unit you have.

Yaw3 is just a finished yaw2. Does your yaw3 have power and usb? I thought that was only on the pro model
Yes, all Yaw 3's have USB and power
@@ItsVRK thanks
where they lost 50% of roll?

Perhaps you are comparing to when you are sitting in it? I'll try to do a seated version sometime soon.
