You did not resurface any concrete. You filled in the concrete joints with mortar which does not flex. That will transfer the crack to the top of the concrete again. Use Sika concrete repair caulk to avoid that. Use an actual concrete resurfacer, not paint. Try again.

That concrete isn't even ugly. My patio looks like a warzone with giant rocks from 1960s, about an inch up and down between aggregate. It's gonna take 2-3 coats for a smooth finish.

I have pea-gravel aka exposed aggregate concrete that is in great shape but the color could really use an improvement. Is this the process you'd recommend to give it a refresh? I was thinking Step 1) Outdoor Cleaner Step 2) Klean-Strip Concrete Etching Step 3) Flo-Coat or Henry Resurfacer Step 4) Paint Step 5) Seal. Do you think it'd be possible to just clean, prime and paint? Since there aren't any cracks?

What does this level of restoring cost?

I thought if you just put a thin layer of mortor on top, it will just chip away if a heavy car come by? have you experienced that before?

Very awesome work. I too have been recently dabbling in concrete usage and fixes. It was surprising gratifying after it was all done. I always wanted to paint my sidewalks but was never sure if I could since I live in the city. Great work my friend.

I am not a contractor. I am a homeowner. If i cant afford to do a new driveway i can at least make it look nice for a few years until i could afford a new driveway. In these times we are all trying to renew things on a budget.

Find a housing subdivision with no HOA and one entrance into the neighborhood with decent houses where all the yards are mowed. Knock on the door of the very first house at the subdivision entrance and tell them you will resurface their concrete driveway for free If you can leave a business advertising yard sign in their yard at the entrance into their driveway for one year. Large white yard sign with large black text, phone number "Restore Driveway", nothing else on the sign.

What is the custom mix for the mortar?

It looks like you fill the expansion cracks? Does that cause issues over time?

I would wet the crack first for a better bond, also use bonding agent in your mix, will last way longer.

Can this be done for older tennis courts?

Yes it looks awesome now...however you usually get what you pay for in life. Painting a driveway....in Texas super triple digit heat and often cold months....I'll wager over 3-5 years ...the paint will start peeling/cracking.....so if selling your home yes it could be a great cosmetic option..but long term will have issues...

What did you use with the paint brush? Did you dunk it in water before you used the paint brush on the concrete? Awesome video!

Valspar has no paint called Valspar driveway paint.. Can you provide a link or the correct name of the paint
