I use sheep skins in many areas. Right now I have one on my kitchen bench at the table as a type of pad. I also have one at each side of our bed, as winter begins it keeps our feet warm. Also, the nice thing about them is that you can just throw them in the washing machine and lay them out to dry should they get dirty. Of course they will lose of their sheepy smell should you do that.

I made them for the Alder sweater (that´s where I learned them and for sure there is a tutorial for lefties in youtube) and they are SO GOOD. I'm currently knitting the zipper sweater (aran weight) in a very similar color! The ribbing probably takes even longer with the Romeldale! BUT i promise you its worth it! its soooo beautiful and squishy and amazing. Also, I've been opting to use alpaca lace recently, instead of a mohair for patterns that call for a lace weight. I'm not sure if that's an option, but I thought of this when you were saying you were worried about losing the squishiness of the alpaca in the cardigan! :)

I have some cardigan plans for the next month but will be probably to busy working on them. I recently started my own travel knitting podcast and uploaded my episode on Tibet this week if you want to try something new. But it's not as professional as yours. ruclips.net/video/vjHuMDM97rU/видео.htmlsi=4xa5timuvnMzEwdh Greetings from india

Jacque, your knits are just gorgeous! I’m so impressed that you only started knitting a year ago. I’m trying to push myself to learn new techniques but I’m so intimidated! I was curious- do you pay attention to the difficulty ratings? How do you find the courage to do such challenging projects? ❤❤

Thank you so much! When I first started I definitely always checked difficulty ratings, but I also just would watch RUclips videos for anything I got stuck on and always found a way! Feel free to message me with any techniques that trip you up!

Congrats on two great finishes but that sweater is outstanding! Beautifully knit and great color choices. I’m excited to see your husband’s sweater progress. I love a good Romeldale (or really any kind of small farm yarn.) Can’t wait to get started on the 1st with the KAL!

The sweater and color looks great. I have to say I do love those kind of skeins but I did a summer top and the skein had creamy colors with different greens. It looked sooo good as a skein. My top looks too camouflage for me. I mean the possibility of that happening didn’t cross my mind.

Isn’t that so crazy how that can happen? I feel like our eyes play tricks on us! That’s why I love when shops do little swatches so we can see how it works up. I’ll even sometimes look up the yarn on Ravelry to see how other peoples projects look in it!

Did you order the Knitting for Olive Mohair yarn from their website? If so, may I please know how much it cost in US Dollars? I want to order this yarn w/ the Merino, but on their website, it will not tell me how much it actually is in US Dollar unless I place my order and that would be the only I would know how much it will charge me when I review my account. I hope I made sense. I've tried converting it but I don't know I'm doing the conversion correctly. Sorry for asking this question. Thank you.

Hey Liz! Both of the knitting for olive colors I bought I actually got from two of the stores linked in the description, both carry different colors. One is from The Sow’s Ear and one is from Aimee Sher Makes store, I actually have 10% off at both places with ‘JACQUE10’! Both USD.

@@jacqueismaking - Thank you for responding. I checked out The Sow's Ear website and it looks like they no longer have the Knitting for Olive Mohair. It's okay. Maybe I will just go directly to the Knitting for Olive website and order at least 2 of each to give it a try. Again, thank you for your help. I appreciate it.

Enjoyed your podcast, as usual. I now want to knit the sweater you are wearing! I just cast on a Paulie Cardigan in beautiful burnt orange & teal Noro Madara yarns. Very Fall feeling! I’m a huge Outlander fan. I’ve watched the series at least five times. I like that I watched the series, then read the books. I like having the vision of the characters’ appearance and voices as I read. It is so addictive that I lost sleep because I had to see what happened next!

Jacque, your Cal Sweater is beautiful and I’m so glad you wore it for the vlog. When I was preparing to knit a sweater in hand dyed varigated yarn for the first time, I found Suzanne Bryant’s video ‘Knitting with Hand Dyed Yarn’, which helped me organize my hanks in the best way. Great work! Great yarn!
