What Is Exposure Bracketing And How You Can Do It Today!
Просмотров 6462 дня назад
What is exposure bracketing? Well, it's actually pretty easy. Sometimes, you can't trust just pointing your camera out and taking one shot. Sometimes, your highlights are too bright, or your shadows are too dark. So what do you do? Well, pop your camera on a trip pod and bang out a couple of shots at a couple of different F stops! Then blend them in Adobe Lightroom for an amazing HDR photo! Roy...

BEGINNER Photographers DO THIS For Better Landscape Photos!
Bought a r6 mkii for my A camera and the R as my B camera and I gotta say super disappointed in the R6mkii the R can shoot in All-I 4k and it looks amazing the R6 can only do IPB and the R smokes it out of the water. Sure the Non Crop 4k is ok but I can work around that no problem. I should just sell the R6 mk ii and buy a second R and invest in a RF L lens
That's interesting. I was considering the r6 mkii when I eventually purchase another camera. Maybe I need to reconsider it. Thanks for your input!
I haven't tired this one yet. I need to give it a go sometime.
It's alot of fun!
I like this one too!
Thanks! 😀
Pretty cool😎
Thanks Age!
I like this! I've seen people also use their TVs displaying a picture for a background for themselves as well.
It's a pretty cool hack for some neat backdrops, good for product photos! Thanks for watching Age!
Really interesting thank you. Did you know it can also create interactive maps for download. Just got me subscribed. Thanka from Kent UK
No I didn't ill have to check that out! That sounds really cool. Thanks so much for watching and subscribing!
This is WILD
It really is! Thanks for watching!
i tried this and it said it can't do it...
Try this "can you make me five lightroom presets that you think are the most popular style set. Can you make them downloadable .xmp files?" it will say no, then follow up with "can you make xmp files?" then it will generate you the xmp files for download. Hope this helps! Thanks for watching!
This is crazy! I just asked chap gpt to create some xmp files, and guess what. It said no, it couldn't, but then went on to create a list of them when. I asked. "Can you make.." and it made them. This is crazy! Nice! Thanks for sharing.
Haha yea, it's all about figuring out the right way to ask it to do things. it was very weird how it seemingly changed its mind lol. Thanks for watching!
that was intresting
I hope you enjoyed it, thanks for watching!
Hm, for me it just repeats that it can't make xmp files and gives me instructions on how to export my own presets to XMP... Which model were you using?
nvm I coaxed it into doing it by asking "Could you give me the code to create the xmp files?" and then it gave me an example and just asked whether I wanted it to make the files for me. Too kind for its own good 😅
Yea, it's a weird sorta glitch. Once you figure out how to ask it properly, it works. I dont know why, but hey, as long as it works, lol. Thanks so much for watching!
I wonder if you can use this method to create LUTs? 🤔
That's a great idea, im going to try that next! Thanks for watching!
How accurate did you find the preset you pulled from your old photo to be?
Almost perfect, it seemed to be a tiny bit off but almost not noticeable. Thanks for watching!
Good Job !!!!!
Thanks, and thanks for watching!
Very strange that I can't get ChatGPT give me downloadable xmp files. I entered your text to ChatGPT and get the following response: GPT-4o I might be frustrating, and I'm sorry for any confusion. I can't create or provide downloadable files directly. I give up! Or do you have any suggestion that might help. thx
Nikon rocks now, seriously. You're trying to justify bad decisions. Smart people don't make decisions based on memes, HAHAHA
Seems crazy that it'll pull the presets too! I think a lot of influencers are going to need to find another way to monetize themselves.
I think so, it's crazy what Ai can do nowadays thanks for watching Age!
This lens is FAR from canons worst lens. Its a great lens and its hella sharp. People WAYYYY over exaggerate the vignetting and distortion
It's one of those lenses that people love to hate for some reason. Thanks for watching!
I noticed you were out when it was blue sky very sunny day, how do you keep from having washed out colors. You didn't mention using filters
on bright sunny days, I tend to underexpose alot. Sometimes i'll take multiple exposures but mostly i try to only expose for the highlights. I also always shoot raw to retain as much information as possible. Thanks so much for watching!
Nice bro!
Thanks!! Also thanks for watching!
This waterfall looks super dangerous, but I love it! Great video of a local spot Jeff, thanks for the tips and the journey.
Thanks so much Nick! And thanks for watching!
Nice recap of your last video, which is why I enjoy your channel.
That's such a nice comment, thanks! Also thanks for watching!
Great video!
Thanks so much Age!
I have the Nikon ZF and I absolutely love it. The JPEGs coming out of the camera are fantastic and I share them quickly to my family when we have gatherings. I recently picked up the refurbished Z7 II from the Nikon store on discount for $1,300 USD after taxes for portrait shooting. The performance of 45MP sensor is exceptional and it's a great addition to have. Yes, Nikon made the big mistake in not adapting to mirrorless cameras sooner. Fortunately, they have been on the rise since the introduction of the Z9 and with the acquisition of Red, things are looking great for them.
The z series have some amazing capabilities, and like you said, the 45mp sensor is awesome. I tend to reframe my photos, and a higher mp sensor is a god send for that. I'm excited to see what comes next! Thanks so much for watching!
To me ain't nothing happened to Nikon. When I started photography in college in the late 70's and early 80's, I knew Nikon was the gold standard during that time. I wanted one badly. I had to settle for a Minolta XG-1. It held it's own in my class while the other students were shooting Canon A series and Nikon F series cameras. Fast forward to 2019 when I retired from the US Postal Service, I finally got my very first Nikon, the D3500. Yeah it's a DX format ASP-C camera but I love my Nikon and my photos are great. Now I'm looking for that Nikon film camera that I always wanted... ...the Nikon FE. Whether film, digital or mirrorless in my opinion Nikon is still the gold standard. Enough said. 📷
That's great to hear, I hope you get that Nikon FE! Thanks so much for watching!
Do you need to blend the photos from Exposure Bracketing in software or can the Canon Camera combine those photos for you and output to file? I'm asking because I've never used that option on my Camera. I may start tinkering with my camera this winter to figure things out😁
Some cameras can, it depends on the model. My old camera would just shoot the separate shots and I would combine them in lightroom. I would look up what you camera can do. Thanks for watching Age!
I find that gloomy days make the smaller details a good option. They never change. Mist and fog are great too. You're right that conditions can force us into a particular style.
I find, (including myself in the past) focus so much on finding amazing light. However you can get some truley interesting photos in all types of conditions. Thanks so much for watching!
Gorgeous photos! All of them look so gripping and peaceful❤️ I’d like to visit this place to take some shots
It's quite peaceful and aside from the construction very, very quiet! Thanks so much for watching!
Some very cool shots. I'm a sucker for reflection shots.
Thanks so much, I love how reflections can really add another element to a scene. Its probably my favourite thing to shoot! Thanks so much for watching!
Great photos today! I loved the fact that the workers modeled for you😁 You should have done more with them working on stuff. Could have been cool. Plus, unpaid models, lol😃 Looked like an ok day to take some photos😁
Aha yea they were good sports, and it was a pretty good day, thanks for watching Age!
Do you know why the elderly choose Nikon? because they are smart. I don't think new technologies are good. I need stable, durable, robust. keep long time. I have Sony zv-1. I think it will be easy to be broken. I don't like it after paying a lot of money. I will buy a Nikon.
Another great come along with me video.Nice to have real Ontario content not just honey spots.
Thanks so much for that comment, I always try to get out and shoot new places. Ontario has quite alot to offer. Thanks so much for watching!
I have been shooting Nikon professionally since the late 1960s. It took too long for Nikon to introduce full-frame digital cameras. While I waited for Nikon to produce what I needed, I began shooting Fuji APS-C digital cameras. Now it is too late for me to return to Nikon.
So it seems like it may be a common thing. Fuji makes some really nice camera though, ive thought about getting one. Thanks for watching!
This video deserves way more than 7 views. Great tips!
Thanks so much, I really appreciate it! Thanks for watching too!
As a Canon shooter i really can't say they're aren't up to Canon. They delayed a while with their transition to mirrorless but now they are up to Canon and Sony once again. Nikon had a superb lineup of dslrs. The Z9, Z8, Z6iii and others are just as or even better than the other brands.
Alot of it came down to marketing, a good portion of it (I believe, my opinion) was that sony and canon really marketed to younger buyers and in the online world and their voice is the loudest. You could have the best cameras but if the marketing is off you will fall off. Thanks so much for watching!
Who is this "expert" with 758 subscribers? What a pile of nonsense.
Your Video is full of bullshit. You bought a Nikon 3200 and that's your experience? That's the camera I give my kids as toys. You know NOTHING about NIKON. Once you know the menu and how to set USE the custom buttons on the buttons and the lens and familiarise with the camera, then you are graduated to novice level 1. No point of lecturing someone from nursey about algebra. little knowledge is so dangerous to those who thinks they know.
It’s a cycle and today it all seems to indicate that Nikon is rapidly rising while Canon is falling. The “fall” of Nikon has been over for a long time now.
Ironically Nikon manufactured its F3 for 20 years. Made legendary cameras. 30% of professionals still use DSLR'S. Also Nikon never gave much interest in ASP-C cameras. Failed delivery of DX lenses. No Ibis bodies. Mirrorless is now hybrid madness. Bells and whistles.
Great overview! This definitely is a problem, and it doesn't meant that Nikon makes bad equipment, just that they made a mistake not leading or filling the market as it shifter, Kodak mad the same mistake, and it killed them. Nikon is recovering, and the new cameras are very nice, but this mistake will take time to recover from.
Couldn't agree more, it's sad to see kodak where it is, but hey what can you do. I really appreciate your input, thanks so much for watching!
I know nobody who makes fun of Nikon. I have the Zf, Z5, D780 and the exquisite Df. All are great cameras.
I agree, I think Nikon's still making great cameras!
LOL. every photographer i know uses nikon. i only just got myself a new nikon camera with some of the best lenses ever.
Oh boy, the clickbatiest of clickbait titles I've seen from a photography channel in a long time. But hey it works. You got a comment from me. Nikon has been doing pretty damn well the last couple years after being late to the (serious) mirrorless game. Hardly too late. Apple is never first to anything, but they tend to do most things well when they do - which is a huge part of their success. The Z9 and Z8 both won ESIA camera of the year awards for their respective years back to back. They just bought RED and are entering the cinema sphere pretty hard. I think they're going to be just fine.
Thanks for the comment! I do agree, Nikon is coming back strong.
The timing of this video is so backwards. Canon is failing to do anything innovative, and Nikon actually is, and people are noticing.
Its nice to see Nikon changing and adapting, however I disagree with you on the Canon aspect. The R5 MKII is a pretty crazy advancement from having auto focus using your eye, stacked sensor, fast tracking with ai. its a cool time to be a fan of cameras. I do wish that they would adapt the global shutter though. thanks for watching!
@@jeffreysproule The eye focus is pretty gimmicky. I tried it out and it didn't work consistently enough to be terribly useful. Global shutters are both not necessary for most users and are too early in their infancy and have too many trade-offs. They are expensive, noisier, lower in dynamic range, and lower in megapixels. They are great for sports, concerts (LED lighting), and shooting flash in bright conditions. They just need to produce better image quality.
A lot people quick to defend Nikon, but we can’t sugarcoat the fact that they got steamrolled by Canon and Sony. My first DSLR was a Nikon (D5300, which I still have for shooting wildlife) - amazing camera and great bang for buck, but had atrocious live view af, which meant that it wasn’t great for amateur video and for using the articulating lcd for awkward shots. It just meant that Nikon ended up being photo only while Canon and Sony knew that the future was photo and video. I’m so glad Nikon is still around, and those ultra fast 45MP sensors on the Z8/Z9 are amazing (I will totally get one once the price of those get down to a reasonable amount); but it’s an uphill battle to get back to where they were, and on an ever shrinking market. I hope they bring to market a Z replacement to the D500 with a similar fast aps-c e shutter only sensor. Great video, I thought it was well balanced and shares the same hope I have of a Nikon comeback
I agree, it's an uphill battle for them, but I'm excited to see what they come up with next! i remember having issues with autofocus as well back when i had one. obviously it wasn't an issue for photo but i also used to use it for video (pre-youtube). Thanks so much for watching!
i own 5 nikon cameras and 4 nikon lenses, all dslr, and they still get the job done for me.
I loved my nikon, I just switched because there was more used gear where I live. Lots of highschool kids selling their stuff because "they grew out of it" lol. Thanks for watching!
Nikon is slowly coming back and with the acquisition of red i think they will have some stuff to disrupt the market since we all need competition since that will keep the prices at check
I'm excited to see what comes of it! It's an exciting time for cameras. Thanks for watching!
This video is not accurate.. nikon and canon basically went mirrorless around same time.. months apart
I do mention in the video that nikons first entries into the mirrorless market were lacking. The competition had more favorable entries. By the time they caught up it seems as though it was too late, and in the consumer market even a couple of months can be detrimental. Thanks for watching!
Weird, Canon is falling while Nikon is on the rise. Nice clickbait though.
Nikon is on the rise with the z series, it's a fantastic camera system. However they were late to the game with mirrorless. Canon and Sony had fantastic entries and we're gaining huge popularity with their new systems. Nikons sales were dropping but that was because they just didn't have any good entries for the newer rising market of mirrorless.
@@jeffreysproule yeah but nikon were late to mirrorless but have third party lenses unlike canon
@@jeffreysproule Sounds accurate but we've moved on. 5 years later, that isn't news. Just baiting people for views with old nonsense, while a more current title would be "The Rise of Nikon." First and last watch for me.
@ko300zx I'm speaking more on the fact that nikon has become the butt of a joke, it's nonsense because they're great cameras, however still, they've been the punching bag of camera community. The brand people like to joke about. It's a shame. Perhaps, ill do a follow up video with the rise of Nikon, since the Z series has some great cameras.
Nikon had superior flash control, better color on the screen monitor. Canon caught up to them and also understood the importance of video and got far ahead of Nikon. Canon also had better User settings. Canon is also better at marketing. The grey color and providing cameras for sports made them easily recognizable on sports fields. People bought what they saw the pros use.
Very well put, the shift to mirrorless has been a very interesting thing to witness. Thanks so much for watching, and for your input!
