For the inhabitants of Zanskar, the wait is endless and many despair of seeing the road reach them one day.

I’m grateful the old monk sees the tremendous good the road will bring to the village people rather than the woman trekking there who looks so pessimistically at possible negative repercussions. She’s not wrong-those things may happen. All good things have possible negative consequences. But I’m glad the village people will no longer have to carry someone injured or ill in great pain on someone’s back for four days to get them to medical care. I can’t even imagine such suffering. Thank you for this wonderful documentary. Well done.

Short snippets of information is tiring. I can see how someone thought it was a good idea to interview the different experts on the information, but it gets really annoying having to keep picking up the threads of these interviews, stitched together. There is already a main narrator telling the story. It's almost as if he's just parroting what the experts are saying though. It gets messy and irritating. Overlay this with loud bangs and military music that is too loud, and it just gets unbearable to tolerate.

Every world fair in the USA including the St Louis White City of Marble built in the USA the the Grandest of all Worlds fair built in Chicago were demolished shortly thereafter. I am so envious that Europeans have such regard for magnificent architecture and history while a great majority of our history is erased each year by our greedy developers and idiot politicians. Look at Detroit. Once the most beautiful city of 20th century America and it is in ruins and what isn't is being demolished continuiously.
