The Tandy Subway, formerly the Leonard’s M&O Subway, was a wonderful, beloved landmark of Fort Worth. I rode it hundreds of times as a kid and through early adulthood. Originally it docked at a platform at Leonard’s Department Store, a retail giant that once took up a dozen city blocks in its early days. What memories!

Wow 1000 and 1001. I actually got to ride in cab of 1000 and 570 back in 2000 before 9-11. Thanks for great throwback times.

Oh, wow. Quite a bit rougher ride than I expected, but very interesting! It's sad to hear only the Main Street line is running. Like in a lot of struggling cities, I guess they don't have (or can't) invest the money into fixing the rolling stock for the the shuttered lines.

Growing up as a kid in the late 80s/90s, trips downtown on the Subway were the best! These are the sights/sounds I remember.

I use to work right up the street from the East Bay terminal in the early 70's at 562 Mission street. Traveled many times thru the EB transit terminal taking the AC transit busses to Oakland and Alameda. They had a cool shoe shine parlor in the lower portion of the terminal

The 1926 J.G.Brill Company trolley almost is an exact copy of the trolleys built for Brooklyn in the 1920s too. In my old hometown of NYC.
