I love this nice taupe color. It looks the perfect combo of dusty but legible. But Dune! I loved the game. I played it on an Apple computer back in the early 90s. It was the only game I could play on our home computer and it was fascinating. Oh the days of 8” floppy disks. I don’t remember which style disk the game was on. 🤔 I later read the first book and really fell in love with Chani. I haven’t watched the newest series, but I’m intrigued by the needless nudity. 😹 Thank you for sharing! My day is wonderful and I hope yours is too! 🤘🏼😸🧡🖋

Massive congratulations on your house purchase, great news!!! I love all the pens but that mayfair and the Carolina pen company one are gorgeous. I treated myself to a new pen at xmas from Scribe Pens using a Brooks blank called 'Unicorn DNA' and I am Totally in love with it.

My favs of this year are my Piano black Lamy Studio and Lamy 2000 stainless steel. I did not buy a house though 😂

Ooh. Pretty! Congratulations on the house! Very exciting. My favorite pen of the year is a Franklin Duragraph in a medium that writes like a bold. It was a gift from my aunt who knows I love fountain pens but doesn't know anything about them herself. 😊 It probably wouldn't have been my first choice, but I love that she wanted to get me something that I would like. Bonus, I really enjoy how it writes and feels in the hand.

That carolina pens design is beautiful! One of my favorite pens is my Newton Majestic Orion. It was gifted to me by an amazing friend because "it wanted to belong to me".

Wow - some really nice pens there! I think two pens really stand out for me in 2024 - first, bought a used Pilot 45 Flighter GT from a seller in Japan for not a lot of money...and after some cleaning, it's phenomenal. I've not had the nib/feed apart to check, but pretty sure it's a 14kt nib. Second was a gift from pen bestie - a Hongdian WA35 "Space Pen" - it's such a cool looking pen...plus it is also a phenomenal writer...and I used to work in the space industry a long time ago so it brings back memories of that time. I've got two pens in the mail that will probably be hard for me to top in 2025...one is a Ranga Miwok 2 with an architect fine nib that I had to have after seeing yours AND the fact that they offer architect nibs...and the other...until it gets here...I don't want to jinx it by talking about it... Congrats on the house purchase! 🥰🥰🥰

Love the set of your favorites from 2024! I need to place my monoc nib (2023 purchase) in one of my Walltown pens. I think that would be a lovely experience. Or, in my Mayfair pen (2024 purchase). I bought the Narya model which I love. Such beautiful pens! I can’t attend the DC Pen Show in early August because it conflicts with work (sigh). But I am planning to go to the Baltimore Pen show. I’m saving up for a purchase there after blowing my budget this past year at the DC show with the purchase of a Pelikan M805 (which is an amazing writer). Oh, and which pen would you like to have babies if it got knocked up? 😂😂😂

1. Put the Visconti on the table where you can admire it while writing with the Sailor. 2. I was pleased to find my grail Pro Gear at a price I could afford at a Japanese retailer, so I ordered it. The next day I stumbled upon one for the same price on Amazon of all places. I need to remember that they started having unbeatable prices on Sailors.

I've been going slow with Sailors since my first (Pro Gear Slim) had a very fussy MF nib that seemed to hate any lefty writing angle I tried until I smoothed it a little. 😭 The new PGS Dried Flower in Pink Rose is literally Aerith from FF7, so I guess that one's next for me.

So, I totally splurged and got the full size pro gear in Refresh from Yoseka. Way too expensive, but I love it. Sometimes you just have to go for it and I did.

Walltown makes such good pens! So do the other makers. I agree, we can have as many pens as we want. It’s not for someone to criticize. Maybe they have too many other things. I bought that exact 40-pen Ocean (teal) Blue case thinking "it's probably overkill because there's no way I'll ever fill this whole thing." Now I find myself waiting for the store to open back up so I can order a 2nd in brown or gray for all my overflow pens. 💀 You have a lovely collection that showcases your personality--thanks for sharing! 🫶

Love this video so much because nothing is too serious. There's a lot of close ups out of focus, indifference to model and resin names, and irreverence with the pens. And I love the theme of, "I love this pen, but changed the nib." And "I love what I love." I got into fountain pens a year and a half ago, and have way more pens. And love every second of this video. Watching on new year's eve. Happy new year!!

A very nice collection! Thank you for sharing! For sure, you are ABSOLUTELY allowed to have all those pens. The Moonman / Majohn Q1 "little fat pen" is a funny little pen. I bought "the full set" to try out the nibs. When I got them, I hated them, but they are now growing on me! It's so odd that I find myself grabbing one BECAUSE they are odd. Mine do not post worth a hoot, and with big hands, I tuck the barrel end into the web of my hand between thumb and first finger. Odd way to hold a pen, but works okay. A couple of TWSBI's? HEE HEE! The Moonman / Majohn M1 is another pen that I hated at first...just odd...but now is growing on me and I can't recall why I hated it at first? I own one TWSBI Eco, and it's a pen I don't use enough. Totally agree on the Plaisir - seems like it should write better than a Preppy but I have Preppys that will out-write it. 🥰🥰🥰 (no Major the Cat today, he's cuddling with the wife)

I commented to a friend once about the sound of TWSBI caps and how satisfying it was. She was so perplexed. 😂 But the cap sound is such a part of the fountain pen experience for me.

I like Sunbeam the best. My favorite ink color is blue, but none of the blues stood out to me as must haves.

Oh, I also saw a difference in the base color of the Kilonova and the Neptune Occultation.. the Kilonova was definitely a more vibrant blue and the other was more of a blue-black... or something. But I could definitely tell that people would consider them to be too similar.

I think Eclipse silence and Giant Sunspot were my favorites, although I really enjoyed the NG...something, something...the green one.😂

This is a really pretty golden yellow. But where is the blue??? ;-D

I don't like really light inks because I can't use them in writing.

The bottles are super cute but I do hate they are miniscule.

I've enjoyed the swatching & chit chat with all the inks. I was just thinking about them when I found this wrap-up. It's interesting how many people sit & watch ink color videos.... but we just can't help it. The colors have a voice that also speak to us.❤ I'm watching this on Christmas morning. Thx for the work u put in. Color matching would be a lot of work. Maybe just pick a few that are your faves & randomly do a vid as the mood hits you.

It’s like Inkflight - but Colorvent is more expensive, right? Sometimes you get a set of inks that are awesome and sometimes you get a set that has a number of inks that you just won’t use. I love Pulsar Pulse (plus pulsars were discovered by a woman 😊). I also like Brinicles and the Eclipse black ink. Rosette Nebula is pretty, too, and it looks like it has good shading. I wonder why they didn’t have a 25th special ink. Colorverse inks are some of may favorite inks, too. Thanks for sharing your Colorvent daily swatches!! Merry Christmas 🎁🎄

I'm loving Sailing Stones, but I probably have at least three inks in that family now. I'd still buy it!

I *love* glass. Of course, my father spent his whole career working with glass, he loved glass, and that rubbed off on me. Glass recycles much better than plastic as well. BUT, glass is heavy and fragile compared to plastic...so costs more to ship (both money and emissions from the trucks). Everything is a trade-off.

Merry Christmas Maria! Wow, when you lay out the whole month...it really highlights how many blues there are. I agree...too much...and red and green are under-represented IMHO. I think my top three are: Red Horizon, Pulsar Pulse, and Milky Way. Brinicles would be in there if I could vote for four...as I am a sucker for teal/turquoise. I do really like Christmas Star, but not sure how / where I could use it? Major the Cat, who actually has yet to wander off the bed to come see me and share coffee/petting, probably will vote for Aquarius Whispers. I think that was the color that just grabbed and kept his attention. Hey Maria, you're doing great! 🥰🥰🥰😻😻😻
