so pretty!! Love October for you. I adore my fine kakuno’s (both have iroshizuku inks in them) they are so buttery to write with, mine are F which work well for me in the weeks with the smaller areas to write with.
I love the aquamarine combo you have and all the pinks! Of my own I’ll have to say my favorite this month is my Lamy 2000 inked with Diamine Marine. Thanks for the video!
Awesome currently inked! My faves of yours is the Mayfair pen and the F-C Salmon Glow. My faves inked up are a Platinum Preppy Maki-e 2 series inked with The Wet Pen Gas Works Park, and an Opus88 Demo with a modified 6.0mm Parallel nib inked with Troublemaker Milky Ocean, which you definitely inspired. That ink is so good. I also have issues with my steel Pilot nibs in the Kakuno and the Prera. They write so dry. The best thing I’ve found for them is using a very wet ink, wetter than Iroshizuku if you have it. Something like Writer’s Blood maybe. Then I get a line width and flow that I’m actually happy with. 😹 Thank you for sharing and being awesome! 🤘🏼😸🧡🖋
Well after your 30 days 30 pinks I ended up with ordering 15 of them and then I found another video with purples and they are all coming too . ❤❤❤I loved the series and I need to learn to not have 30 pens inked but I'm only a newbie to this. Learning so much.
If you're new to this my advice is to spend some time enjoying what you have. (Not that you asked.) I really hope you enjoy your new inks! I'd love to hear which ends up being your favorite. 🥰
Hi Maria, „Both got the color wrong but in the same way“- I laughed so much! Thanks for your always entertaining videos (that’s why I miss 30pinks a bit now ☺️). So many pinks! Yay! You picked the punchiest and I like it a lot 💕 I can’t pick a fav though, I have at least 3-4 pen-ink-combinations that are perfectly matched!
Thank you for the kind words. 🥰 I would have a hard time picking favorites, too. Though I am really enjoying my black Lamy with the bright pink in it. Just wonderful. 🥰🥰
@@MariaRosseau to be honest- I never did that and was wondering why I didn’t use my dark pens with dark inks. Its so easy!! Put a pink in it- and I did and I’m happy ☺️💕
One of ny closest friends has a Kakuno fine among her regular work horse pens. I have never understood that. 😊 She and I prefer different nib sizes, ink colors, and pen body styles. I think we overlap in some of our paper preferences, journal styles, and ink brands. 😂 I love a hobby with enough variety for everyone!
@@MariaRosseau Kakunos seem to be finer than normal pens. I *love* a fine nib, so I love my Kakunos...but I totally get how it's not the pen for all people! That's the magic IMHO - there's a pen, nib, and ink combo for EVERYONE.
@@robbourne1950 I think that might be the right choice for some people. I find that my preferences go in waves, so I usually prefer to keep mine... but that might not always be the case.
I agree SO MUCH aboutbthe Kakuno medium being whatever it is but not a medium I have several for work, and I am very disappointed every day when I try to write with them and they are skinny and not big juicy lines of beautiful link
Love the inks this month. Do you have the new con-40 in the Kakuno (3 small agitators instead of one)? I find that the type of converter really improves ink flow and the line tends to get thicker - not sure if you can still get the old con-40 though. Might also want to try a really wet ink in that pen, the kakunos tend to write dry. You probably still won't get a medium like TWSBI medium but it helps - I'm the opposite, love fine precise lines, except when my writing gets shakey, then it just looks horrible, lol!
If you like fine lines this is a great one for you! I've got an old con-40, from probably 2016. I did put a more flow-y ink in it, but I'll have to throw some Writer's Blood in it before I consign it to be given away. 😅🥰
U crack me up. U hit me out of left field with a particular comment. I love it. Example”here is my pilot cacuno. I hate this pen. “ I don’t have to worry about you telling me how you really feel. It’s great I love most of my pens but sometimes u get one and yuck. It sucks. Or hopefully later on after the first shock. I’m like oh it a nice change from all the thick writing nibs
On the Kakuno just replace it with a Wing Sun nib. I love the Kakuno Medium. I use it like a fine lol! That's an assortment of colours this month indeed!
Yeah this is definitely like a fine to me, since I generally prefer "western" nibs. I looked into possible replacement nibs, and I might go that route. Not quite sure yet. 🥰
@@MariaRosseau the only reason I know what fits then is that while cleaning one the nib slipped off and went down the drain. I think the might have a broad although their medium isnt as fine, its more medium
@MariaRosseau I know you can get a broad nib with a Prera and it will fit the Kakuno. My friend gave me a Kakuno and a Twisbi Eco as my first fountain pens. I love both. The Kakuno never hard-starts or dries out and writes perfectly every time. I’ve since acquired other pens, but I keep using my little Kakuno. It’s especially great as a pen to keep out for jotting quick notes, because it always writes the first time.
I agree - pilot wtf? Would it be so bad to sell a couple f m b replacement nibs? Thanks for biting the hands that feed you. If you did not make such great pens I would never buy a pilot because of that, but your pens and nibs are so good. I STILL HATE YOU for not offering nib for sale by themselves.
I use(d) trillion for a long long time. It’s still installed I think but with most chat platforms shut down and discord the mainstay, there’s not much use for it anymore. Plus they’ve focused on business use now anyways

Oh yeah, my Lamy 2000 is generally a favorite when I've got it inked. What a great combo you have! 🥰
It’s a lovely line up both the blues and the pinks and the pens! The Herbin Fuschia is amazing. See you next time!!
Yes I'm really enjoying this month's selection! 🩷🥰
What a nice, varied color pallet. Some really nice pens, nibs, and colors! HEY MARIA, you're doing AWESOME! 🥰🥰🥰
Wow...what am I loving at the moment? I'll have to study that question and get back with you. It's like picking a favorite pet...or child... 😁
Thank you for the nice words. I hope you're doing awesome too. 🥰🥰
Haha it really can be like that! 😅
I like the Bays.

I am loving Diamine Steel Blue.
I haven't used that one. Yet. 😅🥰
