Always watched these as a child ❤
Good story, good series, but a couple of problems in the mechanicking bit, you don't strip turbo with a pair of pliers you don't attempt to weld aluminium without the correct equipment and you don't put an unbalanced turbo shaft and blade assembly back in. The turbo probably spins at around 100,000 rpm on full boost, so everybody would have got a bit!!
bumper cars on a race track?
There was a Sambo's across from the Shadeland Drive In, in Indianapolis, we would go there after the movie... I never understood why they changed the name of the restaurant
thank you from the uk 🇬🇧 manchester
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤❤❤❤
Love this show great looking trucks and great music
They remind me of the Amish and Mormons mixed together
I loved this show wasn't in reruns I love trucking, but it was my dream but didn't come true
This show got me into trucks
Asking the cop if he has matches to smoke his cigar with a haz mat load. Lol different times
@@billbennett1882 lol ya I didn’t even think about it until you said that haha
For a show about truck driving, there is surprisingly little of it
Was that Gary Sandy? Driving the bottle truck? Later to go on to WKRP in Cincinnati as program director? I do recognize George dzundza the fat guy with the plan that failed
Wow. How time flies. Brings back great memories when I was young watching this. Here, 50 years later, I am on a layover watching reruns on my phone in a sleeper of my own truck. In my wildest dreams I would never have thought this would be the future.
Where can I stream MOVIN,ON ???
I just googled it and found this site tubitv.com/series/300005098/movin-on I dont know much about the site, but it let me stream the first episode :) Says its a division of FOX Entertainment and is add supported. Has both Seasons
Who played Charlie?
Always loved the music theme of this show, especially at the end credits. Tight, spare score, with an "everyman's" kind of mature panache ,; down to earth, yet hopefully modern, and just a dash of hip, simple chord progressions. This is the kind of stuff that should be the blaring anthem between every vocal appeal and speech for union workers rights in today's, what I might call 'stevedore strike', going on right now in 2024. Cool and GENUINE melody. Contemporary, yet vintage enough to be relevant, and HOLD UP Very WELL to this very day
Wow what a detailed description, you must be or have studied music ??
Sonny kicked some tail on the Pacific in WW2.
Gorshin always played the role of 'unstable guy' very well.
Yes lol, he got lots of practice as the Riddler haha
There is going to be a 1:18 Model of this truck made by Road Kings
@@AngerDuck wow that will be cool! diecastsociety.com/new-colour-road-kings-kenworth-w900-movinon/ Looks really cool especially from the back!
I remember watching this episode as a kid. Grew up outside Annapolis.
37:25 Who remembers Sambos? Had one just a few blocks from the home I grew up in. Some lib do gooder decided they were racist and turned them all into Denny's.
Ya I remember those, I liked going there as a kid.
@matta3968 “Love this show. Good actors and good storylines.” Yes it is a good show, they don’t make them like this anymore :) accidentally deleted your original post when I was cleaning up some channel drama :)
Heart breaking plot. What this world is becomes
Back in the days of Nixon's 55 mph?
Nice episode
The good old days when you could sit at a hospital then run your load on paper logs
The Truckers answer to Route 66 TV show, trouble found them wherever they went. My favorite show as a kid !
This was filmed in shaniko, mosier, and the dalles Oregon. Also right across river in Lyle Washington
Jamie Leigh Curtis mother was a babe
Great show. Back when everybody smoked and nobody wore seatbelts...and the world was generally a better place than it is today
Sony broke the golden rule check your truck out when switching drivers. If he was pulling a reefer back then you would have gotten out to hit the manual defrost button.
Wow, did they really do that on the ferry?
Is that a Diamond Reo or White at 23:05?
Diamond reo I think
Nother great ep. Gorsham's acting was lackluster, unfortunately.
Xcellent post!
Was Claude ur grandfather? Lol I joined. Thx 4 all of this material. Reliving my childhood!
Been in downtown Norfolk many times while i was enlisted. I was there a few months ago. It has grown into a rather nice town. Many restaurants and bars along Granby st.
Diane Ladd was such a beautiful woman.
The kid's mother labeled him as being "retarded", but I'm wondering if he might have been on the Autism Spectrum.
Is that all the episodes or is there more to come?
@@Tinkerbell227 Well there are some more of Season 2 but I haven’t got them on my channel yet, so sorry :( . The ones I do have mostly were downloaded from The Internet Archive website, when they were made Public Domain , but they removed them shortly after :( They might be available on other RUclips channels if you do a search . I have seen a few pop up that way. Season 2 was the last season.
@@sonnypruitttrucking How come you channel name is the same as the show? Are you in connection with the show in real life or just based the RUclips channel on this show only?
@@Tinkerbell227 the channel started from my love of the Movin’ On TV show and a Virtual Truck Company I created for the game American Truck Simulator, that I named Sonny Pruitt Trucking, which is where the channel name came from.
@@sonnypruitttrucking So, can you get the rest of the episodes?
Maybe, I’ll keep checking, but the official website run by the creator and producer movinontvshow.com/shop/ Has DVDs for sale.
I love this movie :)
Today my dispatcher called to say I had a dangerous camera event: On a smooth empty road with no traffic. I ran my fingers through my hair. Someone working a 9-5 desk job. With their only purpose in life, to nit pick. Chose me. I never got to experience the good old days. But, big brother trucking sure takes the joy out of driving.
@@EarlGraf wow , never knew that’s what it’s like, in real life now a days. I guess that’s has to do with all that monitoring software I see on the internet, when I was searching for ideas for dispatch missions. One of our virtual truck company trackers tracks real time in game with speed, blinkers headlights, damage etc. lol.
I never heard of this show it is like BJ and the bear
@@Michael-mb1cw ya , I kinda liked it better but could be just that I really liked the green truck :)
I thank you for sharing this with me my daddy n I used to watch it together when it was on tv waaay back .love every one.
@@rubyboleware2028 that’s sure a nice memory! I used to watch them also when I was a kid :)
Anyone else notice, after all these years, the rig at the closing credits on the lower split screen is actually a Peterbilt 359. Not the W900 in the show.
@@MarkStewart-l3g wow, I was just looking at it. Can you tell by the headlights? Is that the one you’re talking about at the end credits ?
@@sonnypruitttrucking Don’t want to sound cocky, but I can spot a 359 or w900 from miles away. I started building the model trucks in 1974 as a 10 year old . I am still at it. You can see the headlight bezels are attached to the grill on the 359, then the edit switch’s to the nose of the w900 , where the headlights are part of the fenders. In my humble opinion the W900 of this era is the most beautiful front end in all of trucking…always be my absolute favorite.
The guy who played the Bail Bondsman was perfect.
Lois Nettleton! 😘😘👌👌
My Dad was one of the “bad guys” that jumped out of the van towards the end of the show….he was a Raleigh fireman and he said someone walked in the fire station asking for mean-looking people for a show they were filming over in Durham and he signed up!
@@BarryBowling-n8e wow!!! Haha that’s so cool!
