Used to watch this TV series when it first aired on TV. I became a truck driver when I grewup. I had to retire for health reasons I drove for 20 years.
I wanted to be a truck driver after watching this show as a kid, but sadly I never became one. Its nice to hear the stories of people who actually did pursue a truck driving career because of Will and Sonny :)
... June 14th, 1975 i was in Markham, Illinois at the KENWORTH dealer. The Sonny Pruitt truck was there; had my picture taken qhile i sat un the drivers seat. When u got home, my grandmother had passed away . The KENWORTH had a 903 V-8 Cummins engine. Started trucking in May, 1976, still out here ... .. ...... .. .
I grew up with this show and loved it, no wonder the repo man was after them they never hauled a load to make the payments, and I ve been a trucker for 29 years now
I got 19 years and 3 Hvy Equip,24 out the Road total 44 Years Strong!
This show is why I became a mechanic and truck driver. Years later I hauled cement tankers and had a KW just like this but it was red. Loved that truck! 400 NTC and a 13 speed
One of my favorite TV shows
Every kid 9 through 12 years old was drawing trucks at this time.😊
Haha, that’s true! You just reminded me about drawing trucks myself :)
In 1973 and 74 we would go out to my friend's dad's Ford F-250 with a construction rack he was a concrete construction man. In that pick up it was like the most awesome world it had optional air conditioning that was down below the dash, he had a CB radio that really worked set 📐 up swr , the only mobile telephone that we of would get on the CB radio & "the mobile " and make prank calls a few times 🙄 ..
For quite a few years a good majority of people in our town had CB radios you would communicate that way quite often and apparently as night went on the more people got on the CB too.
@@skyedog24 wow that sounds fun! Never used a real cb radio before. Sounds kinda cool like a community chat room :)
We all had CB's back in the 70's!
Yep I drew a Peterbilt with gold pinstripes & rivets, called it Black Gold!
I was driving over the road when this show was on and only saw a few back then. Glad I just stumbled on them here.
It goes back when my mom and dad let me wacth it im 57 now

I was just a kid when it was on television.
Still trucking and will keep on movin on.
That’s very cool, you could be your own Movin’ On TV Series haha :) Lucky you.
@@sonnypruitttrucking trucking has been very good to me . Not only has it given me everything I have, but provided everyone else with everything they have or need.
Thank you for bringing back a good memory of the 70's
Marilyn certainly Hassett... A good ol show, thanks for the upload, Admin.
I love that truck!
That flip in Wills's hair is first on the left, and in a couple of scenes later it's on the right. Back and forth through the whole show.
Wow, I’m gonna have to re-watch that again lol, funny :)
@sonnypruitttrucking They had the windows down maybe it blew his hair the other way lol
Thanks for putting this up!
Little Henry said "They just won't mooove". 😆
Short n sweat movie!
James keach did a really good job of being sleazy . The end credits seemed to be for another episode.
Ya his girlfriend was more scary lol. Ya pretty good episode. You may be right, those names don’t seem to match IMDb.
@@sonnypruitttrucking Scary , but a nice chassis on it.
@@sonnypruitttrucking credits are for previous episode
Two awsome guest stars in this episode before they reached stardom... James Keach and Marilyn Hasset.... Marilyn stared in the breakout movie my side of the mountain about a woman who has a skiing accident and becomes paralyzed... a much talked about and critically acclaimed movie in 75

He was a truck driver and he was a sheriff that hated truck drivers God bless sheriff lowbo
I never watched much of Sheriff Lobo, I might need to revisit those.
"Smart Art". Good ol' Ron, sittin' there pointin' a gun at his own face, with his finger on the trigger... 😆
