Summer is in full swing. Everything is hot, from the water, the temperature and especially the fishing. Spanish have been thick as thieves right now. So far, the 2024 Summer season has been the best quality that I have seen in 7 years. I haven't run across any ax handles, but majority of the Spanish I've landed this year have been between 17-19''. With as warm as the water is, I feel like they've hung around in shallower water more than normal. I started off looking for bait, birds and busting fish. Typically it holds fish. Intel from other captains always helps too. But all of my other normal spots have been dry. Surprisingly, my marsh spots have been loaded with big blues and Spanish.

Hey Henry. Just following typical patterns from the winter and spring. But when they’re feeding I will look for the slick that appears in the water or I can literally smell the pogies they’re chewing on.
