Am an italian with b2 level of English and your accents are unbelievable , you do perfect tones
The main reason American meat has been banned in Europe is the use of hormones to accelerate muscle growth in animals.
milanese: "figa" romano: "ao" siciliano: "minchia"
Notevolissima !
Why are you doing Italian accents in English?
cause she sounds great and people enjoy it
Whata bunch of idiocies just for Murican audience.. 🤣🤣🤦♂🤦♂🤦♀🤦♀🤓🤓
Roman accent is really everywhere and it's very ugly
I can't understand the roman accent at all. But I learned Italian in napoli so that is probably the problem.
I work with several Italian colleagues (our working language is usually English) and this is so on point! I had noticed these differences between individual people but now I think I will be able to start recognizing which broad region of Italy someone is - as can also be done with Northern German accent vs Southern German accent in English.
I thought we were gonna get the accent _in Italian_, not English. :/ This was fun too though.
They all sound great.
Most milanese people don't speak with that posh accent lol.
I feel like the Sicilian needed more “u’s” and “g’s,” judging by my relatives.
Vorrei sentire l'accento bergamasco
Ué ti, fa minga el barlafus!
Spaziale come cambi accento da un momento all’altro ahaha complimenti!!
Suggestions for future gesture explanation: - "il gesto dell'ombrello" fun for the name, has variation, it's rude but like bad words in a foreign language: don't use them unless you are so confident that they come natural to you (as you could use them inappropriately, maybe offend someone without meaning to), but good to know if you hear them - 'le corna': different meanings in italy and btw italy and us, might lead to misunderstandings
Hi there. I am italian, very interested in languages, and I enjoyed very much the relaxed way you guys take topic, while at the same time trying to go deeper, hints to phonetics, likely etymology... good job!
Thank you!
I'm Italian (I'm not exactly sicilian) but your sicilian accent is very funny, almost calabrian in some moments! 🤣🤣🤣 Good job!!
She is catanzarisi 😂😂
Bravissima
American waiters work for tips. The better the service, the better the tip.
27 years in Italy, I still can't hear the doubles
It's a pity very few italian accents are heard outside Italy, so that, for example, in movies any italian usually has Sicilian accent. You can hear dozens of different accents in Italy. In Puglia there are zones where the accent sounds like arab. And in Trentino they sound like they were speaking german. But there are really counless accents because Italy was just a bunch of nations until less than a couple of centuries ago
I am a native speaker of English who speaks fluent standard Italian. I was once traveling to Italy sitting next to a native born Australian. Because of his thick Australian accent, I was having difficulty understanding him. Gratefully, he too spoke Italian, so without letting him know the real reason, I suggested we switched to Italian, since I needed the “practice.” It worked perfectly.! 😂
Ok, but what about the video?
@@icefalls The subject of the video dealt with the various accents in which the Italian language is spoken in Italy, particularly in Northern Italy, and Southern Italy. The purpose of my remarks was to show that English is also spoken with various accents, and sometimes it’s difficult to understand. I related my story in order to show how in one particular instance, I solved the problem by speaking standard Italian. This was the language in which both of us were able to communicate. There were no concerns about different accents since we both spoke standard Italian with the Toscana inflection and pronunciation. I am sorry you were unable to understand my comments which may have required upper level thinking skills, which apparently you do not have.
@@giovanniserafino1731 You sound like a conceited person. Probably a septic tank.
OMgosh , you are a beauty…..❤❤❤
Dialects in Italy are horrible. Only uneducated people will use them. A light accent might be acceptable but it’s rarely the case 😂
So really really li mortacci tua!
they have this accent, FIGA!
Excellent imitations of the three accents! Brava!
Oh my goodness, my Sicilian great aunt Annamaria just spoke from the grave! I absolutely love regional American accents, so hearing these Italian ones is just delightful!
@@hold982 oh no!!!! anyway ...
@@sissibug In Italia non ci svegliamo la mattina gesticolando come voi ebeti credete che facciamo, se non altro non succede al centro nord, fattene una ragione 🤡🤡
Pretty accurate, but being Milanese I would not describe our accent as "posh", it's actually quite coarse and dry. 😊
sicilian sounds most beautiful
Bravissima! I can't even do it in Italian 😁
This Chanel is gold ❤
Grazie
Mangia bene!
I love this but your accent is absolutely American, not just a bit.
She nailed it hehe. The north is a very posh accent, the center is very heavy and strongly pronounced and the south is more melodic. I also feel like the further north you go words get longer. The further south words get shorter and then Sicilian is a whole other language. There are so many different linguistic influences.
La fiera dei luoghi comuni
Nice . It's funny how an italian person ever has it's own regional accent as he speaks italian or another language... and, another italian person can recognize it...
Italian pronunciation in the United States has a strong southern influence, and there is a reason. From about 1875 to 1925, Italians were the largest migration group into the USA and the majority of the migrants were from Sicily and Southern Italy. There were Central and Northern Italians also but they tended to settle more in specific urban regions. Southern Italians spread out more evenly across the nation. This is why the majority of US stereotypes for Italy and Italians in general are Southern Italian stereotypes.
Thank you for sharing!
👏👏👏👏👏👏 And that's why the stereotypical phenotype Muricans depict as "Italian" look like a South Italian and not like a Central and North Italian.
@@alessandrom7181 My father was from Torino. He had blonde hair, gray eyes, and was 1.84 m. My mother was from Napoli. She had blonde hair, blue eyes, and was 1.8 m. They met in Roma, which is where me and my brothers and sisters were born and grew up. Yes we are all tall, blonde, and blue eyes also. We migrated to the States in the 90s. While I spoke Italian at home, I developed an American accent and spoke English pretty quickly and my friends didn't know I was Italian for a very long time. When I talked about my parents, I would just say they were European. Years later I learned that most of the people in my town thought my parents were Swedish. 🤣 I love it. But what's even funnier to me, is that when I go back to Italy and speak Italian, while I am a native speaker, I do have an American accent and Italians don't believe me when I say I'm Italian born and bred. With the way I look and the way I sound, they just refuse to believe I'm Italian. 🤣
"As if you were carrying a huge rucksack full of stones." Absolutely hilarious... and very, very true!
I prefer the Roman accent. It's the cutest.
My God 🤦♂
@@antoniodimperio2418 the roman dialect is the best with no doubt.
No ma, BRAVISSIMAAA
I met a lot of Italians and they all have a southern accent… rarely a Milano accent or Roma accent.
historically southern italians are the ones most prone to travel, almost exclusively for work cause work is the one thing southern italy lacks. Rome and up (or in some cases, Napoli and up) are usually better off so people from there don't need to migrate as much
Maybe because they are Southern Italians?
All three accents remind japanese phonetic characteristics (also in spanish). In the "husbando" way ruclips.net/video/_NBdIzNQ5Q8/видео.htmlsi=jnofpMlOq-t2xCKYb
Bravissima, penso che tu possa fare l’attrice. 👍
The last accent was that of Zlavoj Zizek.
